Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2457 Imposing Sword Laws

The crowd became shocked to hear Feng Chuʼs words.

Niel Bladeheart had comprehended Imposing Sword Laws? Many of them couldnʼt tell what it meant, but looking at the solemn air surging between them, they were stupefied.

Did this mean Niel Bladeheart took Feng Chu as an opponent? They had never seen him become this serious.

It must be known that true disciples would almost never show their faces to the Proving Grounds because who did they have to prove against?

Utmost, theyʼll visit other battle arenas to improve or display their might. Even if they didnʼt have such arenas, theyʼd have their alliance members to spar with.

However, some true disciples preferred to be alone in their journey of cultivation. One such individual was Niel Bladeheart.

The people knew he had joined the Aurora Cloud Gate a year ago, and ever since then has been visiting the Proving Grounds every four months, practicing his sword skills with the core disciples who stepped up to challenge him and some true disciples who were bored.

However, those core disciples werenʼt a match for him at all.

If he didnʼt show mercy, many of them would be gravely injured. Moreover, what garnered him fame was that he didnʼt ask for a payment, so thousands of core disciples had already challenged him with respect and, after being defeated, displayed reverence in their hearts. To them, it was also a great learning opportunity.

Nonetheless, this was his third visit in a year. They didnʼt think he would come again, so the regulars of the Proving Grounds became pretty excited. The core disciples were also itching for a battle, wondering if Niel Bladeheart would accept their challenge later on, but now, they couldnʼt wait to see the true prowess of these two youths!

”Careful!”

Niel Bladeheartʼs piercing voice resounded throughout the battle stage, causing many people of Low Immortal Stage to block their ears. Even his voice sounded piercing.

They quickly saw him disappear from their view and appear halfway toward Feng Chu. As soon as he arrived at that location, he slashed his sword horizontally.

Millions of piercing sword light emerged, condensed in a tiny line. The air trembled in their wake as they shot towards Davis. Even as the millions of sword light traveled in a thin line, their aura suffocated the crowd, causing them to be shocked beyond compare.

What kind of Sword Laws was this!? How can it reach such a level to affect those who were quite a distance away from the battle stage?

Davisʼs arms moved like a snake as they danced. With those movements, he gathered a tremendous amount of immortal essence energy at both the tip of his fingers and pointed at the incoming sword light.

”Extinction Storm!”

Instantly, a black lightning wave burst from his fingers and pierced through the air.

*Bang!~*

Both energies met and caused a massive storm to brew in the center.

However, Davisʼs lightning wave seemed to be stronger than the sword light, allowing it to blast through the sword light as it rushed forward and engulfed Niel Bladeheart.

Extinction lightning arced around him and sought to destroy whatever was in its wake.

Within the storm, it was difficult for a Mid Immortal Stage cultivator to survive, much less a Low Immortal Stage cultivator.

The ones who thought of teaching Feng Chu a lesson became aghast. Whatʼs going on? Was this an outer discipleʼs strength?

They thought Niel Bladeheart was already going to lose. Just how can it be possible?

However, Niel Bladeheart was like a pillar, unmoving in the face of the tremendous might. Even as Davisʼs aura slowly increased, his figure refused to retreat while his clothes fluttered, tearing over from the lightning storm that composed into many tiny lightning blades.

His right hand was on the hilt of his sword. When he raised it again, it was like he ceased to exist within the lightning storm. He took a step forward and unleashed a sword light toward Davis as he swung the sword in a vertical arc.

”Second step, Immortal Sword Cleaves Through The Valley!”

He roared with ease, and the resulting technique cut through the land. The sword light radiated an air of tyranny as it slew its way towards Davis.

Davis raised his hand in response and clenched it. The lightning storm condensed, trying to stop the attack. However, it failed to snuff the sword light out. The piercing power of it was truly amazing, causing Davis to harrumph as he turned his body around, immortal essence energy gathering from his dantian as they surged through his other palm.

”Blazing Kirin Palm!”

With his hand stretched out as he came to a stop, a dark crimson in the form of a kirin pounced out and clashed with the tyrannical sword light intending to cleave it in half.

*Bang!~*

Both attacks exploded at the center, causing a massive firestorm to brew again. It mixed in with the lightning storm and canceled out each other due to not being timed right, ultimately freeing Niel Bladeheart of the persistent pressure.

He took a step forward again, ”Third step, Skies Ripped Apart, Heavens Severed.”

As his voice majestically echoed, the heaven and earth energy surrounding them trembled as the slash absorbed them.

The sword light cut through the remnant storm, heading towards Davis in a tyrannical manner.

Space had frozen around Davis. He was locked in place, disallowing him to dodge, but he scoffed lightly. With a single movement of his hand, he broke the restriction placed on him and waved his hand.

Immolating dark crimson flames surged from his left palm, and black extinction lightning surged from his right palm. His eyes narrowed as he combined them, recalling the sensation back when he fought his doppelganger in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.

He had performed it for heavenly lightning and heavenly flames, but with similar properties occupying the Blazing Thunderlight Kirinʼs powers, he finally condensed them into one energy, which threatened to explode if not kept stable.

Quickly, he unleashed it at the condensed sword light heading towards him.

The sword light condensed from Imposing Sword Laws, and a powerful technique clashed against a wave of black-crimson electrifying wisp!

*Boom!~*

The sword light shattered, and the wisp also exploded, but it unleashed an arc of flames and lightning at Niel Bladeheart, causing the latterʼs eyes to widen as he moved his sword to a defensive stance.

*Bang!~*

The arc of black-crimson lightning and flames struck the golden sword, sending him flying a bit before he stretched his hands and stabilized himself in the air, dropping down to the ground.

His expression revealed the utmost shock as he stared at Davis, who stood with his hands clasped behind his back.

As their clash came to a momentary end, the crowd fell silent. There were no words to say to the shock they were feeling right now. However, a resounding voice echoed their emotions.

”He… he combined them…!”

The charred and bald Goren Azuremark, who took shelter underneath a water garden pagoda while being healed by his people, pointed at Feng Chu and exclaimed in shock.

He knew that even the prodigious creation of the Obsidian Lightning Kirin and Azure Flame Kirin would find it difficult to combine both flames and lightning at the same time.

Only King-Tier Blazing Thunderlight Kirins were able to combine them at will. As for ordinary Blazing Thunderlight Kirins, it was very difficult. They could only repeatedly practice as normal humans would to be able to perform that kind of ability. But still, it all came down to the purity of their blood.

If the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin had low purity, then they would not be able to use one of their powers. All existences could face deficiency, and the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin was no different.

Niel Bladeheart also stood shocked as he personally experienced the might of lightning and flames together. It struck while carrying the most destructive might he had ever seen, broadening his horizons. He knew he would be gravely injured if it were not for his sword. Also…

”Senior brother, Feng Chu. Thank you for showing mercy.”

Niel Bladeheart cupped his hands with the sword in his hands and bowed, ”I admit defeat.”

”What…!?”

The crowd roared in uproar as they witnessed this scene. Actually, it was fine for senior brother Niel Bladeheart to admit defeat but to address Feng Chu as senior brother meant that he completely admitted that he couldnʼt win against him no matter what.

The term senior brother or junior brother just didnʼt depend on age or cultivation. It depended on disciple status and prowess in the world of geniuses. But of course, one could still keep calling their senior brother their senior brother even after they surpassed them, but that depended on respect and closeness.

Nevertheless, it still had little to do with age or cultivation or even the date of joining the sect.

Thatʼs why they were deeply shocked over this matter.

Niel Bladeheart gave too much respect to Feng Chu, and that respect naturally turned their bad impression of Feng Chu upside down.
