Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 248: Revised: Volume 4, Chapter 30 Betrayal (10)

The entire fighting arena was silent.

”Slap!”

”Slap!”

The resounding slaps echoed one after another. With each sound, the hearts of the nobles tightened, and their facial muscles twitched uncontrollably. If the short man’s grim smile as he twisted his opponent’s neck earlier brought them a thrill of carnage, then Fatty’s alternating slaps now only made them tremble.

Before this, they had never thought that the most ordinary form of corporal punishment, a slap, could be so terrifying. These endless slaps were, in their imagination, the most excruciating form of punishment. Even with their eyes closed, the loud sound could drive one to collapse. If such a slap landed on them... it would be better not to live!

”Slap!” The short prisoner was slapped and spun around! He was already stunned from the hits.

Fatty’s slaps didn’t carry much force, yet they were exceptionally loud. The short man never dreamt that this Fatty would slap in a life-and-death fight! This was blatant humiliation!

The short man gritted his teeth and distanced himself, bending low with one arm shielding his burning face, while the other hand swung a punch fiercely at Fatty’s abdomen.

Tian Xingjian chuckled, casually catching the short man’s punch with his left hand, and forcefully grabbing the arm protecting his face with his right hand, pulling it away and following through with another slap.

”Slap!” This slap was evidently much heavier than the previous ones, causing all the watching nobles to inhale sharply.

What a wicked Fatty!

The short man winced in pain, instinctively covering his face and retreating, forgetting that one of his hands was still firmly grasped by Fatty. With a strong pull from Fatty, the retreating short man staggered.

Caught off guard, the short man saw himself plunging into Fatty’s embrace. In his panic, he could only bury his head in the arm held tight by Fatty, while his other hand desperately covered his head. He was utterly terrified; though the previous dozen slaps weren’t heavy, they were humiliating! The last slap was dreadfully heavy. The short man felt his head ringing with bells and drums, dizzy and faint!

Fatty, like plucking a chicken’s feathers, yanked the short man’s arms up, pulling the dazed short man into a surrender posture. Before the short man could react, Fatty rudely shoved him, causing his arms to swing downwards like in a calisthenics drill. Just as the short man transitioned from surrendering to standing at attention... ”Slap!”...”Slap!” Two rapid slaps landed on his face!

”Oh... my God...” The nobles collectively groaned, as if they were the ones being slapped. None could believe the duel’s final showdown would turn out like this. A prisoner who had been beaten to death suddenly returned from hell, gaining the power of a Demon King. His ferocious opponent from moments ago was now utterly defenseless, like a helpless lamb at Fatty’s mercy.

The short man had broken down; no matter how he moved, Fatty’s slaps miraculously found his face from any angle. The burning, piercing pain! Those plump hands seemed to him the most terrifying thing in the world! Like lightning, they were unavoidable; when they sliced through the Black-Cloud-covered sky, no one could respond even in time to close their eyes!

What humiliated the short man most was that no matter how he fought back or blocked, Fatty’s brute force always pushed his hands away. Fatty’s strength was immense, and his attitude was so vile, like disciplining a child!

Those relentless, non-lethal but exceptionally loud slaps finally destroyed the short man’s confidence and savageness. Covering his swollen, red face, he knelt on the ground in humiliation and weakness, crying out loud.

Tian Xingjian blew on his somewhat reddened palm and shook it vigorously. To make the slaps louder, he had to use the front half of his palm as the contact surface, and Fatty felt his own tender hand must have been stunned by the short man’s tough skin!

”Truly a master! Such formidable inner strength, damn, it’s all focused on the skin!” Fatty sincerely praised beside the short man’s ear.

The short man only felt overwhelming sorrow, unable to stop his wailing.

Everything happened so quickly that Ann Lei and Susan couldn’t accept the reality they witnessed.

Ann Lei stared blankly at that familiar figure, overwhelmed by joy and pride, she could hardly breathe.

Meanwhile, Susan felt as if she had experienced a bizarre dream. A once-weak and easily bullied Mechanic had suddenly awakened, transforming into a warrior who roamed the battlefield with Unhindered Stride! His unique fighting style made every slap feel vindicating from the bottom of her heart! In this place where nobles had lost all humanity, the sound of those slaps was more direct and resounding than the loudest shouts! Seeing the alarmed and shocked faces of the male nobles in the stands, seeing their helplessness, Susan felt immense satisfaction!

In Susan’s view, by participating in this duel, betting on the strong, and joyfully watching the murderers beat the weak to death to satiate their bloody desires, these nobles no longer deserved to be called nobles!
