Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The yellow weasel: ”???”

The yellow weasel understood what Su Huan meant, but inside it was screaming in collapse.

’I f*cking can’t talk, man!’

No matter how it twisted its body, the terrifying human in front of it didn’t change in the slightest. His palm was as steady as a hydraulic iron clamp, clamping its neck in a death grip.

”If you tear my clothes, I’ll peel off your skin to patch them.”

Hearing the calm voice, the yellow weasel immediately didn’t dare struggle.

”Looks like you can understand.”

Su Huan’s lips curled up, revealing his fine, dense teeth.

The yellow weasel felt as if it was looking at its most terrifying natural enemy; its tail went rigid as it trembled all over in Fear.

”Do you know where the place with the most humans nearby is?”

Su Huan said gently, ”If you know, then take me there. If you behave well, I won’t kill you. We can be friends, I’ll give you tasty food, feed you till you’re all chubby, and then you can give me a fur blanket. Our friendship will last forever.”

The little eyes of the yellow weasel rolled around. There was a lot of information in that sentence, but it still understood some key words.

”Not kill””Give food””Friendship”...

Combined with Su Huan’s tone, this should be a kindly meant sentence.

The yellow weasel’s little head bobbed so fast it almost left an afterimage.

Su Huan hooked up the corner of his mouth. Looked like this thing wasn’t as mystical as the rumors—maybe it could understand some human speech, but it relied more on sensing emotions rather than actually grasping those complicated human concepts and vocabulary.

Su Huan loosened his hand with satisfaction.

With a ”thud,” the yellow weasel fell onto the ground covered in gravel and dust, rolled and crawled a few steps away, then stood up on its hind legs, pointed its claws in a certain direction, squeaked twice, and hurriedly turned back to look at Su Huan, afraid he wouldn’t get it.

”Lead the way.”

Su Huan was concise and to the point.

The yellow weasel was as if granted amnesty and hurriedly ran forward. The oversized shabby jacket on its body dragged along the ground, sweeping up a trail of dust.

He ordered the wolf pack to follow, while he himself slightly closed his eyes.

Invisible ripples spread out from him as the center. The Energy feedback within more than ten kilometers ahead was like fireflies in the night—messy, but indeed dense.

”Plenty of Energy reactions. Looks like it didn’t play any tricks,” Su Huan thought, lifting his feet to follow.

However, he was quickly slapped in the face.

After passing through a patch of dead birch forest, what appeared in front of him was not the human camp he’d expected, but a dead silent small residential area. Now there were only broken walls and ruins, and zombies wandering aimlessly within, packed thickly together.

The stench of rot could be smelled even from a distance, nauseating enough to make one want to vomit.

The High-Tier Zombies had already noticed Su Huan and the other. Their scarlet eyes looked over, and the corpse horde launched an attack.

The yellow weasel hid behind a concrete slab, stuck out half its head, and its little eyes sneakily watched Su Huan’s reaction.

There wasn’t much expression on Su Huan’s face; he just lightly snapped his fingers.

The next second, the earth trembled as if something was about to burst out of it. The next moment, white light blossomed from the very center of the small town. The zombies turned back in confusion, not yet understanding what was happening, when they toppled over in unison like wheat cut by a scythe, and lay still.

From explosion to finish, the whole process lasted barely over ten seconds, and an entire small town was completely wiped off the face of the earth.

The aftershocks he brought on sent the wolf pack into a panic, Fear etched into their bones shocked their nerves.

If wolves weren’t such highly social animals, they would have abandoned their companions and started running already.

After cleaning up the corpse horde, Su Huan jumped off the wolf’s back, took two strides to get behind the concrete slab, and before the yellow weasel had any time to react, he swung his palm and slapped it.

With a crisp smack, the yellow weasel was slapped into spinning in place, and the crooked, shabby felt hat on its head—who knew where it picked that up—flew off.

Su Huan immediately grabbed the collar of its ragged jacket and rudely began stripping it off.

”Squeee—!!!”

The yellow weasel shrieked in terror, its four paws flailing wildly, but to no avail.

The jacket, far too big for it, was quickly stripped off, revealing the ginger-yellow fur underneath, patterned with black spots.

Su Huan carried the naked, shivering yellow weasel, and walked into the ruins of a half-collapsed brick house nearby.

Soon, dull thudding sounds came from deep within the ruins, along with the yellow weasel’s suppressed, increasingly shrill screams, interspersed with ”squeak squeak waa waa” cries that sounded like pleas for mercy.

After a while, Su Huan walked out carrying the yellow weasel, which now had a bruised nose and a swollen face, limping as it walked.

”Cheeky little bastard.” Su Huan set it on the ground and smiled as he patted its head. ”Can you lead the way properly now?”

The yellow weasel used all its strength to nod rapidly, its eyes full of awe and Fear, not daring to have even the slightest sneaky thought again.

This time, the yellow weasel really did behave much better.

It no longer dared to lead Su Huan toward any dangerous lairs or dead ends, but instead took a winding route, weaving through a complex hilly terrain, and finally led them to a real human camp.

This was a medium-small survivor camp built by relying on abandoned buildings and large piles of scrapped vehicles.

From a distance, various rusted trucks, buses, and containers had been cleverly used and welded together, forming layers upon layers of interlaced three-dimensional structures, like a gigantic steel ant nest.

The most eye-catching thing was the ”city wall” around the camp—a whole wall of copper-iron alloy glowing with a golden-red sheen in the sunset, clearly cast as a single piece by smelting an enormous amount of Metal, thick and solid.

Several lines of barbed wire were strung along the top of the wall, with many empty cans hanging from them. When the wind blew, they clanged and jingled, serving both as an alarm and as a way to interfere, to some extent, with the hearing of Mutant Beasts.
