Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The sudden bright light dimmed even the sun on the horizon.

The blood waves unleashed by the iron frenzy lost their original color, turning into faint sketches, especially the terrified twisted expressions under the artillery fire, which would make even masters of oil painting from centuries ago feel ashamed.

The Armed Train, however, was like a brute who didn’t appreciate art, wielding the Alps Hammer to charge madly, with tracks several meters wide creaking, crushing the artistic scene into pieces.

Both vehicles, corpses, and certain ambitions were ground into the soil, becoming nourishment for this land.

”Don’t you think it’s beautiful?”

Yu Jing squatted behind the train, the ground passed by was crushed into huge ravines by the tracks, then leveled by the Cultivation Pod, a White Elephant Person was firmly imprinted within, like a bold stroke of red across a completed canvas, carrying an aura of hazy beauty.

The ”Four-armed Fierce Ghost” and ”Iron Blood Coexistence” puppets naturally wouldn’t respond to her.

Yu Jing reached out her pale finger towards the bloodied silhouette on the ground, the mushy ground trembled slightly, sprouting soft flesh buds, intertwining, growing wantonly, like newborn infants, cautiously touching her fingertips, climbing up her hand like vines, or delicate flesh gloves, but unlike any human form.

”Tier Two is still far off...”

The woman sighed softly, waving her hand to disperse the rampant flesh growth, which sensed the decline of life and instinctively struggled and twisted, quickly becoming a dead mass as the Energy supply ceased.

Yet Yu Jing did not despair, she glanced at the rampaging train gradually grinding towards the county town, pulled out a handgun, and approached another Chongying person.

This time she performed flesh modification with the firearm as a vessel, the flesh buds began to grow orderly, attaching to the gun body, forming a skin-colored membrane-like substance, covering the grip and slide with dark red patterns growing on its surface, resembling capillaries; smooth and delicate like human skin, with a warm feeling to the touch.

”Succeeded?”

Yu Jing muttered to herself.

Soon, the flesh started to darken, then dried rapidly like parched leather, adhering to the firearm.

Another failure.

But Yu Jing’s furrowed brow instead relaxed.

She moved to the next fresh corpse.

After all, corpses were the least lacking here.

The only thing puzzling her was that the gunfire ahead wasn’t as intensive.

Could they have killed them all so quickly?

...

The Four Nations Alliance Army was utterly desperate, the massive train was like an alien monstrosity, emotionlessly harvesting life.

As soon as they gathered together, a shell flew over before they could even counterattack.

If they approached the vehicles, snipers would take out a whole carload with a single shot, their crude modifications and ordinary metal materials barely able to withstand rifle bullets. Meanwhile, the train, which usually hit top-tier forces with thickened armor, was combated by Tier Two or higher zombies and Evolution Beasts, biological armor harder than metal, turning full-power rifle bullets into mere training rounds.

If they got serious, 12.7×99mm and 14.5×114mm rounds would come into play.

Let alone the Four Nations Alliance mixed with ordinary people, even Tier Two Evolvers would crack instantly if touched.

The train wasn’t in a hurry to kill them all, just trailing behind like herding cattle, preventing them from driving or counterattacking, silently waiting for death to arrive.

In just ten minutes, seven thousand were compressed to less than three thousand, watching their companions fall like wheat, the already ragtag Pan-Asian Alliance crumbled instantly, frantically turning and rushing towards the train, then torn to shreds by He Jie’s gunfire.

He Jie stood on the train’s engine section, chewing a cigar, removed the glowing hot gun barrel with his bare hands, replaced it with a new one, loaded a new belt, and continued to slaughter the crowd below.

His hands were as steady as iron clamps, under the Sixth Level ”Dynamic Vision” enhancement, no one could escape this veteran’s sight, whether hundreds of meters away or within four to five meters, He Jie’s heavy machine gun was as accurate as a sniper rifle.

Suddenly, a hint of static noise blew into his ears.

He Jie paused, somewhat unsure, halted the two gun muzzles, although the sound was chaotic, he finally discerned the desperate shriek.

It was a shout of surrender!

Thinking of the train master entrusting the whole train to his command, thinking of the guy guarding the border who was silenced by his own people, anger surged in his eyes, burning him dry-throated, wishing to jump down and bite the speaker to death, devour him alive!

The Four Nations Alliance under the train’s head seemed to hear a divine music, raising their hands, kneeling, using clumsy Donghuang language to shout ”surrender and you’ll live”.

On the train, they thought it was his order and ceased fire.

He Jie looked at the Chongying people kneeling and raising hands under the train head, almost enraged, shot dead a dozen, yet the remaining ones still refused to rise and resist, instead pressing their heads tightly to the ground, even if the train almost crushed their backs!

He Jie burned with fury, tossed the heavy machine gun aside, and jumped off the train.

Two nearby officer groups quickly ran over.

”Captain He!”

”Colonel...”

He Jie ignored them and looked towards Mountain Goat speeding over, stepped forward, grabbed his collar, staring at him with blood-red eyes, ”Who the hell ordered you to shout surrender and live?”
