Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The sound traveled into the train’s locomotive.

He Jie stood with his arms crossed behind Liang Kuan’s driver’s seat. The panoramic screen in front had transformed into dozens of screens of various sizes, displaying battlefield images from different angles relayed back by the Hive. Almost every ten seconds, all screens would swap except the main screen.

Within a minute, it switched six times, with almost no repeated images.

Each image conveyed a vast amount of information. Hundreds of images meant each staff member could only monitor a few simultaneously. But this enormous information load did not burden He Jie at all. The entire battlefield formed a three-dimensional picture in his mind, even more advanced than what was shown.

Accompanied by various issued commands, what transpired on-site matched precisely his mental simulations.

What is talent?

This is talent!

Despite Old He being rough and loud typically, his meticulousness in warfare quietly amazed everyone.

Anything related to warfare, his brain seemed to have had a touch from God, exceptionally sharp.

If you ask him to explain the logic, he could articulate it well, but when it comes to practical handling, it’s all pure war instinct. Where to focus the assault, where to deploy forces, where to retreat, none of it matched with what he’d theoretically describe.

He just knew where to strike, how to strike.

”What about the others?”

He Jie asked.

”Group one has reached the designated position!”

”Group two...”

”...”

He Jie looked at the screen with over a hundred red dots surrounding twenty thousand people and firmly said:

”Almost there, prepare to close the net!”

”Understood!”

The order directly conveyed to various squads and officers, almost instantaneously. All red dots on the screen converged towards the center, while directly in front of the train had almost no red dots, like the opening of a pocket.

When the Pan-Asian Alliance was squeezed by soldiers from both sides, they would either run forward or backward.

The narrow passage would surely lead to many people retreating backward.

How many could this number be?

Five thousand?

Ten thousand?

Over ten thousand living targets—he couldn’t help but give his brain a hearty praise with such a thought!

Others struggle endlessly to chase, unable to kill many, yet we, with a slight trick, have herded them like sheep!

Why am I so smart?

He Jie’s eyes reddened with excitement.

”Lao San, lead the combat group to operate heavy weapons on the train. Don’t be stingy with ammunition!”

After speaking, he turned and walked to the adjacent preparation room.

Lao San was urgently, ”You’re not here to command, where are you going?”

With his back to him, He Jie grinned widely, ”Of course, to prepare some nice things for the little brats, don’t worry about the rest, I have it under control!”

After speaking, he briskly rushed to the preparation room, where he had hidden four heavy machine guns and over a hundred barrels long ago.

Today must be a day of slaughter!

...

When the order was issued, Zhong You was squatting beside a small puddle, playing as if poking holes in the thin ice layer covering the puddle with his finger. The puddle, several meters wide, had many holes poked around it, but what flowed out wasn’t clear water but crimson blood.

Several vehicles drove over, followed by a group of Chongying People running alongside.

Seeing Zhong You’s figure was like a wolf seeing a sheep. ”What are you doing?” They shouted while raising their rifles to ambush.

”Truly ’forget the pain after the beating.’”

Zhong You scoffed coldly and stood up, the sound of the ice on the puddle cracking incessant.

In the horrified eyes of the Chongying People, a large amount of crimson liquid surged out, condensing into a scarlet giant over four meters tall with only half its body.

Moreover, what terrified them even more was the bottom of the puddle, dried of blood, revealing hundreds of corpses drained of their blood!

Faced with Zhong You’s icy gaze, they didn’t even have the courage to shoot.

Some with lower evolution levels knelt where they were, watching as he twisted two short spears together, which then were thrown by the giant behind him with arms thick as a barrel!

”Boom!”

The central vehicle was destroyed like a cannonball hit it, instantly obliterated by the terrifying gravity carried by the water spear.

The flying fragments collided with the surrounding Chongying People, tearing them apart.

Only when the blood splashed over their heads did they realize fear, screaming as they tried to escape.

But how could Zhong You possibly let them leave, with a disdainful snort, a wall of water rose from the ground, enveloping everyone within, as the Chongying and Korean People inside despairingly began to plead.

Zhong You’s face turned cold, ”Even at the brink of death, still barking like dogs, courting death must follow a path!”

With a grip of his palm, the surrounding water streams instantly converged, with a boom, turning the water surface darker red yet more massive. Great echoes of waves crashing against reefs resounded even hundreds of meters around.

The Water Giant behind like a diligent pitcher gathered short spears and threw them fiercely in waves, the water friction with air made a roar, smashing houses and vehicles in the despairing wails of Pan-Asian Alliance’s peripheral members, along with waves returning.

The Pan-Asian Alliance’s counterattack, whether bullets or shells, couldn’t even make a splash against the wave of blood.

Zhong You marched forward, carrying the ever-expanding flow of water.

The rolling red tide swept over the land, leaving dark red traces behind.

Yet the Water Giant behind him grew increasingly clear.

Facing Zhong You on another battlefield was Butcher.

Miroslav, soaked in blood like a Valkyrie, slaughtered tens in the crowd, whether modified vehicles or Evolvers, in front of her, it was all resolved with an axe.

Initially, the Pan-Asian Alliance people had thoughts of encircling to kill in groups, but later were utterly numbed by Miroslav’s slaughter.

All they could do was flee blubbering, devoid of any thoughts of resistance.

The broad street seemed like a projection of hell, thick plasma mixed with organs slid from the cement ground to the sides, feasted upon by evolving plants by the roadside.

No complete corpse was within sight, the end of the street faintly echoed quacking cries like ducks and a woman’s maniacal laughter.

The combat styles of other officer squads weren’t as unique, but with collaborative combat efficiency, they were even faster in killing compared to a single Tier Two Evolver.

Moving fire points were like harvesters, under teammates’ protection, requiring no thoughts or actions, just madly reaping the crowd before them.

Even those hiding behind modified vehicles would be torn to shreds, both man and vehicle, by the battlefield’s 12.7mm killing tools.

For overly sturdy buildings, grenades were served; if grenades didn’t work, officers would directly call the hovering drone, which in less than ten seconds would bomb it. If that didn’t work, they could directly call the train, with grenades arriving faster than drones.

What desperate outlook the Pan-Asian Alliance faced was the Armed Corps’ most ordinary armored vehicles were battlefield bulldozers that could withstand shells, made from Tier One Materials, with key parts even Tier Two Materials.

Not to mention their old rifles they didn’t know how many years outdated couldn’t pierce, actually even rocket launchers couldn’t breach the defense.

Standing outside, the commanders wore mech suits like iron cans.

Any random soldier held the equivalent combat power of their team leader!

The Four Nations Alliance Army, not a premium troop itself, utterly lost the will to fight.

Evolution levels crushed, equipment crushed, even vehicles fully crushed, creating the spectacle of eight hundred people pressing against twenty thousand.

But this isn’t boasting, Armed Corps ordinary officers were Tier One Evolvers, some officer squads even had two or more Tier Ones. In the midst of the Pan-Asian Alliance’s thirty thousand rabble, Tier One Evolvers were already leading hundreds of people as captains.

Even without those abilities, just with the powerful bonuses from Basic Attributes, the Pan-Asian Alliance faced annihilation.

The Armed Train had been engaged for only ten minutes, but the Pan-Asian Alliance had already lost over four thousand people.
