Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Everyone has ambition; most call it delusion, while a rare few call it grand ambition.

But Lian Jin clearly knows that simultaneously engaging two Tier Three Evolution Beasts in battle in his sister’s understanding should be termed a plan — a matter destined to be completed.

It requires meticulous planning to leverage collective strength against extremely powerful individuals; disruption is unacceptable.

This is also the primary reason why Donghuang Heavy Industry is reluctant to intervene in the conflict between Deep Blue and the train; warfare among top-tier forces can destroy all projects and plans, even for Donghuang Heavy Industry, which has the most intact power preservation mechanism—still, it can’t prevent incidents involving the train.

As the only mobile top-tier force, the train has previous records of maliciously assaulting others’ bases — it must be taken seriously.

Therefore, even in such emergency situations, Lord Lian dispatched the top fighter, Lian Jin.

No one dares to gamble against the train leader’s notorious resume.

Driving, Yang Ruoyu suddenly pressed the communicator at her ear and warned, ”Something’s ahead!”

Lian Jin frowned and decisively said, ”Stop the car!”

After passing orders to the cars behind, Yang Ruoyu stomped the brakes and violently turned the steering wheel; at a terrifying speed, the vehicle instantly lost control. From a high view, it seemed the car would roll over, then was pressed on-site by a strange force; the tires carved deep grooves into the ground and steadied in place.

The vehicles behind did not have Lian Jin’s precise control but smoothly stopped after skidding tens of meters.

The SUV door pushed open; Lian Jin tidied his exquisite white suit, ensuring he revealed the most perfect chest muscles before raising his head to ask, ”Where’s the anomaly?”

Hunters and Trace Experts from the convoy led to the nearby sidetrack.

Wei Dong felt anxious. What’s the anomaly? The urgent matter is quickly handling the train! He cursed Lian Jin silently for not knowing priorities, waiting in the car because the buddies beside him didn’t budge a bit.

Entering the sidetrack road, Lian Jin noticed a massive abandoned building nearby — a factory or some industrial park, far from the city with a vast occupied space.

Most was covered by mutated plants, the air permeated with a complex sweetish stench, like rotten perfume.

The hunter explained, ”This was originally a Terror-claw Cat gathering site, home to one Tier Two Terror-claw Cat and over a hundred Tier Ones — very troublesome, normally we detour here, expected to be attacked by them, but surprisingly met none on the road, felt wrong, so came to inspect.”

Hearing about Tier Two Terror-claw Cats, Lian Jin adopted a serious demeanor; few in number yet incredibly fast, he’d rather face a massive zombie horde than this speed-type Evolution Beast, especially in a nest.

Upon entry, everyone became tense seeing several shriveled corpses dried by exposure.

This anomaly around an Evolution Beast nest only occurs when all evolutionary beasts in the surrounding area are eradicated.

”Death occurred about three days ago, cause is... huh?”

The hunter suddenly hesitated.

”What happened?”

”The cause seems self-destruction.”

”Self-destruction?”

Yang Ruoyu whispered beside Lian Jin, ”A certain Evolver likely visited.”

A trace of seriousness flashed in Lian Jin’s eyes—already troubled by the train issue, now another lone Tier Three Evolver emerged.

Further in, Terror-claw Cat corpses multiplied, fewer with bizarre causes of death, primarily electrocuted; the Trace Expert concluded the attackers were a team.

Arriving at the inner scene, all fell into deep silence.

At the park’s center lay an unrecognizable landmark building, now a high platform with a recessed center forming a fountain.

From this building outward, ground within three hundred meters rendered into glass.

Huge black glass mirrored the sky’s glow distinctly from surrounding land.

The glass certainly contained debris—down jackets, plush toys, carpet fragments—and... residues after burn marks on human and other animal fur.

Facing such a grand ”trace,” the Trace Expert was perplexed; he couldn’t deduce how this glass formed.

”This might be... caused by some Ability.”

The expert hesitantly spoke.

”Lightning strike.”

Lian Jin gazed at the enormous glass, instinctively recalling that rampant figure, wrapped in countless lightning, resembling a thunder deity.

Could a similar Evolver have appeared?

”Lightning wouldn’t form such large glass; it should be from fire burning, right?”

The expert couldn’t help but argue.

Lian Jin’s expression was complex; if someone else, improbability; but if it’s that person, definitely- can create such a large piece — the Glazed Pit at the Zhijin auction still stands.

Though embroiled with Deep Blue Data, what’s the point in eradicating a Terror-claw Cat?

However, fewer Evolution Beasts ultimately benefit Donghuang Heavy Industry, saving considerable trouble.

Baffled by internal logic, Lian Jin moved forward again.

Following, more anomalies emerged — exterminated Evolution Beasts, corpse groups, clusters of plants totaling six or seven — all Tier Two and above habitats; no matter how many zombies or difficult entities, total annihilation!
