Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 295, The Mage That Was Moved to Tears with Envy

Translator: Silavin

Looking at Baby Dragon Leveling Up to Level 2, Tao Xiaoman covered her forehead, doubting reality. “My goodness… is this… is this really a Level 1 Pet? This is too much. He is clearly only Level 1 yet able to dominate a Level 65 Elite Monster… Lu Fan, you are becoming more and more abnormal. Just what kind of Pets do you have around you…”

Jian Ying glanced at her, appearing quite used to it, “Don’t you understand Lu Fan’s Pet Dragon by now?”

Qin Qiu nodded and said. “That’s right, whatever Lu Fan does is just normal now, huh? Even if you told me now that he’s killed Level 85 Nightmare Bosses with a single attack, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.”

Lu Fan unconsciously glanced at Qin Qiu, thinking this girl was quite clever. [How does she know I’ve killed Level 85 Nightmare Bosses?]

After hearing what the two women said while watching a single Baby Dragon causing so much chaos, Tao Xiaoman was completely dumbfounded.

She knew Lu Fan was strong. But, calling this normal? Were they not just deceiving themselves? Whose Level 2 Pet could fully block Elite Monsters’ Spawn Points and farm them!?

Bao Bao had not stopped using Skills at this Spawn Point. Not slowing down in the slightest.

In the sand vortex, Tyrant’s Attendants kept appearing and were continuously destroyed, at an extremely fast pace.

Later, some Level 70 Elite Monsters called Tyrant’s Attendant Corpses also started appearing.

After these Elite Monsters appeared, they only survived a few seconds longer under the Baby Dragon’s wild bombardment. They were still unable to escape their fate of being killed by lightning.

Watching Bao Bao fight more fiercely, using Skills as if they cost nothing, even people like Qin Qiu, who were used to Lu Fan’s abnormality, became unsettled.

Han Ke even actively asked Lu Fan why he could keep using Skills without any sign of stopping?

Even if he was a Pet Dragon, continuously releasing such powerful Skills, could his Mana Pool really sustain it all?

Lu Fan chuckled and revealed Bao Bao’s Lightning Spring Passive’s Panel.

After seeing this Skill, everyone fell silent.

After all, this Skill meant that Bao Bao basically had ∞ Mana Pool to draw from!

For a Magic Attack Pet Dragon, having an infinite Mana Pool was no different from a gatling gun with unlimited bullets! Pull the trigger and it just goes ‘rata-tat-tat’, shooting out blue flames like nothing. Who could possibly compete with that?

Since she had a Mage Profession, Qin Qiu was moved to tears with envy!

No, the ones who should really be crying were the Monster being ‘blocked’ at their Spawn Point…

Without needing anyone’s help, Bao Bao thoroughly enjoyed his time battling here.

Finally, until the sand vortex stopped, indicating no more Monster would appear, Bao Bao reluctantly put away his Skills. His battle-hungry gaze soon turned toward Xiao Ye and the other Pet Dragon. But… he quickly looked away.

He was aggressive and loved to fight but was not stupid. After being beaten up by his three Dragon Sisters last time, he temporarily did not dare to provoke them.

He knew that his Master had brought him to a place with Monster, and there would naturally be many opportunities later to show off his abilities. There was no need to seek a beating from his Sisters.

So, Bao Bao descended from the sky, coming to Lu Fan’s side, behaving quite properly.

From earlier until now, he alone had farmed about twenty Monsters, reaching Level 2, and was likely just one step away from Level 3.

Lu Fan was quite satisfied with this speed of leveling. [Seems like farming this Dungeon Instance yields a ton of Experience Points. It should not take long for Bao Bao to enter his Growth Period. Xing Chen might even reach her Maturing Period.]

“Since there are no more Monsters here, let’s continue exploring this Dungeon Instance and see where we can find the Boss.” Lu Fan patted Bao Bao’s head and said to everyone.

The others naturally had no objections.

However, this Dungeon Instance was too large. Looking around, there was nothing but the endless desert in all directions.

They seemed to be In the middle of the desert, and choosing which direction to go first was a problem.

Finally, it was Han Ke who noticed that there was a bright spot continuously glowing on the dead Monster’s body.

Lu Fan went over and upon checking it, found it was actually a Special Item. It was an oddly glowing, clearly Enchanted sheepskin fragment.

Tyrant’s Retreat Route Map Fragment (Mission Item)
Description: Collect all Map Fragments to obtain the Tyrant’s retreat route in the Death Desert Ocean.

Current Collection Progress: 1/500

Lu Fan pondered briefly and immediately understood.

If all the Map Fragments could be collected, they would get the Tyrant’s retreat route. And since the Tyrant died during his retreat, following the retreat route would roughly tell them where to find the ‘Lost Treasure’ required by the Mission.

As for the Map Fragments, they needed to collect them by hunting down the Monsters here, so everyone needed to properly explore this whole place.

After understanding the method to clear the Dungeon Instance, the impatient Tao Xiaoman wanted to set out, choosing a random direction to advance and grind Monsters.

However, Lu Fan stopped her and advised. “Don’t rush. I think we can’t be that reckless here. Look around you. It’s all desert, seemingly empty and unnaturally quiet. The more it’s like this, the more careful we need to be.”

Saying this, Lu Fan pointed out the issues he noticed in the Dungeon Instance’s description. Thus, he had to remind everyone here.

Everyone agreed with Lu Fan’s speculation, feeling that though this desert looked quiet, it definitely harbored many ‘hidden dangers’.

Be it Monsters that might be lurking under the sand, or the so-called Quicksand Vortex. For this type of map, the optimal solution would definitely be to explore using Sky Mounts.

But among everyone, only Lu Fan had Pet Dragons. The rest did not have the ability to fly.

However, this was not a difficult thing for Lu Fan. He directly had Xiao Cui summon the two Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings, and had them open their Puppet Sub-Space to summon ten Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats.

Demonic Bloodthirsty Bats were the weakest existences among the Nine Hell Demons Army. Lu Fan had tens of thousands of these Monsters. They were the perfect cannon fodder.

“Let these things scout ahead. We’ll follow from behind. This way if there are any dangers, they’ll trigger it for us.”

Originally, everyone was surprised at how Lu Fan’s ‘Flying Dragon Kings’ had changed to this appearance.

Now, seeing Lu Fan having the ‘Flying Dragon Kings’ summon some unknown Monsters, everyone was even more astonished.

“Lu Fan, your Flying Dragon Kings… how is it that they can summon Monsters!?” Han Ke could not close her mouth, feeling that she could comprehend Lu Fan less than before.

Lu Fan smiled and said. “My Flying Dragon Kings have evolved twice in the Extremely Far North Ice Plains and in the National Trial Secret Realm. Now, they are called Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings. They are also now Quasi-Dragon Kings, so their appearance is somewhat different from before.”

“Qua… Quasi-Dragon Kings!? Isn’t that about the same as Xiao Ye and the others?” All four women were shocked at the same time.

Calculating this way, did this not mean Lu Fan had six Dragon Kings as Pets!?
