Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 254, There Must Be an Exploit!

Translator: Silavin

Jin Zaian was extremely troubled. He waved dismissively at his subordinate and asked, “Where did this information come from?”

The subordinate replied, “It was sent from the observation room of Feather Country.”

“Oh!?” Jin Zaian was startled and immediately became interested. “What information? Quickly report it to me!”

The only explanation Jin Zaian could think of was, Lu Fan had killed two Nine Hell Demons. However, there was no proof of this.

In Feather Country’s observation room, besides the delegates, there were also some accompanying personnel. Among these accompanying personnel, there was actually a spy planted by Extremistis Country.

To ensure Extremistis Country could achieve a good ranking this year, they had invested heavily and made considerable efforts.

Besides doing everything possible to create advantages for Jin Chenghan, Extremistis Country also tried to plant spies among the delegates of other major countries whenever possible, to keep track of the other countries’ representatives’ movements.

Particularly for those major countries that consistently claimed first place in the National Trial, they were key targets for infiltration.

However, Elder Han personally oversees the delegates of Dragon Country, making it impossible for Extremistis Country to infiltrate.

As for the relationship between Star Strip Country and Extremistis Country, it was complicated. The Jin Family dare not plant spies within Star Strip Country, because if discovered, they would not be able to bear the wrath of Star Strip Country.

As for Feather Country, it had been successfully infiltrated by Extremistis Country, with one delegate’s confidant being bought out by Extremistis Country. That spy had been constantly helping Extremistis Country monitor Andrei’s actions.

Initially, Jin Zaian had not paid much attention to Feather Country’s representative Andrei.

Although Andrei was strong, he had consistently been overshadowed by Charles and Jin Chenghan on the leaderboard, so there was not much worth noting.

However, just now, besides Lu Fan’s points rising to an extremely exaggerated number, Andrei’s points had also strangely surged up, making Jin Zaian suspect that Andrei might have also discovered some exploit for farming points.

At this moment, the intel from Feather Country’s spy must be about why Andrei’s points had suddenly increased, so naturally Jin Zaian was very interested in hearing about it.

This subordinate lowered his voice and reported all the information gathered from the spy to Jin Zaian. “According to our spy’s report from Feather Country’s observation room, several hours ago, Andrei met with Dragon Country’s representative Lu Fan. They worked together to kill Eternal Country’s representative Kiran…”

“…Finally, Lu Fan gave Andrei fifty thousand points, which helped Andrei leap to second place in the rankings.”

The events were recounted in detail.

Of course, this Feather Country spy could only see what was visible in Feather Country’s observation room. What Lu Fan did inside the Dark Castle could only be seen in Dragon Country’s observation room.

After hearing what had happened, Jin Zaian’s face was full of disbelief. After all, what he heard was simply too inconceivable.

[The Dragon Country representative really gained so many points because he had Soloed the Dark Castle!? Is that even possible!? He is only Level 30-something! Even if his Level was tripled to 90-something, it would still be an impossible task!]

Inside each Dark Castle was one of the Nine Hell Demons, and a complete Demon Army. Jin Zaian knew just how terrifying they were.

Even if Lu Fan had a Pet Dragon, it would still be impossible to Solo the Dark Castle with just just one Pet Dragon. No matter how strong his Pet Dragon was, there had to be some logic to it.

Was it rational for a Level 30-something to kill a Level 85 Epic Grade Boss plus nearly ten thousand Monsters!?

However, thinking carefully, the information from the Feather Country spy could not have possibly been false. Although he did not know exactly what happened after Lu Fan entered the Dark Castle, Lu Fan must have truly Soloed the Hell Demon and the Demon Army. Otherwise, it would be impossible for his points to increase at such a terrifying speed!

[Lu Fan must have made use of some exploit. The current state of the Dark Castle does not seem to match its intended design, giving Lu Fan an opportunity to take advantage of it.]

Jin Zaian initially wanted to immediately stop the National Trial and use the exploit as grounds to revoke Lu Fan’s qualification. But if he did so, how would he explain Dragon Country’s knowledge and acceptance of Lu Fan Ultimate Mission Scroll the Dark Castles?

Once investigated thoroughly, if their spy in Feather Country was discovered, his Extremistis Country would suffer consequences as well.

So although he knew Lu Fan was cheating, Jin Zaian was smart enough not to act rashly.

After careful consideration, Jin Zaian still decided that Lu Fan’s cheating could not be hastily exposed.

Since he knew the problem lay with the Dark Castle, why not have Jin Chenghan make use of this exploit too?

Jin Zaian quickly formulated a plan in his mind. He beckoned, and immediately several people in the observation room came forward.

Jin Zaian looked at the door of the observation room and solemnly said. “I need to make a trip to the National Trial Secret Realm. Before I return, carefully watch over this place and don’t let anyone in. If this matter is exposed, Extremistis Country’s reputation will be ruined. Do you understand!?”

The subordinates bowed and replied. “We understand!”

“Good. Make sure you guard this place well.” Jin Zaian rose from the sofa, and took out a Teleportation Scroll from his Inventory.

This scroll was very different from ordinary Teleportation Scrolls. It had a milky-white gem embedded on each side.

These gems were Secret Realm Foundation Stones used to construct the National Trial. Only by using these Foundation Stones could one create Scrolls for freely entering and exiting artificial Secret Realms.

This scroll could be said to be Extremistis Country’s last resort. This scroll was made with the intention to give Jin Zaian one chance to enter the realm and pass information to Jin Chenghan during the National Trial.

Jin Zaian selected the coordinates and crushed the scroll.

Immediately, a Transport Array appeared in Extremistis Country’s observation room.

The Transport Array was very unstable and seemed like it could close at any moment, so Jin Zaian did not hesitate and quickly stepped right in.

…

Inside the National Trial Secret Realm.

“Please, don’t kill me, please don’t kill me… I can give you all my points, as long as you let me go back, I’ll forfeit and leave immediately…” A dark-skinned Knight knelt on the ground, beside him lay a spear that was broken into two pieces.

From the information above his head, one could see that this person was the representative from Mick Country. He was decently strong and ranked 14th on the points leaderboard.

However, his current kneeling appearance did not have any semblance of being a lauded heroic representative of his country.

Of course, this could not be blamed on him, because in front of him stood a man with a small moustache, smilingly holding a samurai sword across his neck.

The Mick Country representative was very clear about the power of this sword. If the other party was willing, cutting off his neck would be as easy as lifting a finger.

Cherry Blossom Country’s representative Musashi Ten was smiling as he lightly pressed the samurai sword in his hand.

Immediately, the sharp blade left a wound on the Mick Country representative’s neck, drawing blood.

Musashi Ten said with a smile. “You’re so unlucky to run into us. Why shouldn’t we kill you? For your points, we can get them after killing you. It’s all the same. I don’t mind moving my sword a bit more to cut off your head, don’t you agree?”

The Mick Country representative was almost crying. He desperately wanted to escape, but besides Musashi Ten beside him, there were also seven or eight sinister-looking Abyss Summons watching him like tigers eyeing their prey.

Jin Chenghan was even sitting on an Abyss Crawler, watching Musashi Ten torture him with boredom.

Escape? How could he possibly escape!?

He only hoped they would show mercy and let him leave the National Trial.

Even if he was labelled a deserter, it didn’t matter as long as he could keep his life.

With his talent and strength, as long as he stayed alive, he would surely have a good future ahead.

“Please, just let me go, I’ll do whatever you want…” The Mick Country representative was crying uncontrollably. If there was not a samurai sword at his neck, he would have been kowtowing and begging.

Musashi Ten clicked his tongue and said, “Want me to let you go? Well, it’s not impossible.”

After a pause, he smiled maliciously. “But, you’ll have to do as I say.”
