As the National Trial came to a close, the results were immediately made public by the journalists at the scene.

Everyone following the National Trial knew that this year’s National Trial was particularly brutal, with only four representatives surviving at the end.

Moreover, the Dragon Country representative dominated the rankings, taking first place with over 90% of the total points. This was undoubtedly the best performance since the National Trial had been established.

Dragon Country would receive over 400 portions of resources, which was a tremendous gain.

Soon, these 400+ resources would be developed and used by Dragon Country, significantly increasing the entire nation’s strength.

It was natural that the whole Dragon Country was buzzing with excitement, with countless people praising Lu Fan as a national hero across various media platforms.

Right now, Lu Fan’s popularity was unmatched.

…

Meanwhile, at Dragon Country’s western border stood an enormous courtyard.

The courtyard had strong Dragon Country architectural features, with elaborate decorations everywhere, appearing magnificent. It was just that white silk ribbons hung throughout the courtyard, fluttering in the wind. This gave it a somewhat desolate feeling.

In one of the rooms, the Senior Sister, who had long left Dragon Capital University, sat at a redwood table, holding a tablet. Though her face was unnaturally pale, she wore a smile.

On the tablet was the latest news about the National Trial. It had stated that Dragon Country’s representative, Lu Fan, had ranked first this year.

“I knew it would all work out!” Her worried heart finally settled as she continued to say. “Whether it’s Third Profession Players or Extremistis Country’s frequent violations of the National Trial rules, it is all useless. Like I thought, Lu Fan would definitely come in first place!”

At this point, her expression suddenly changed as she made heavy coughs. Spots of blood even dripped onto her tablet.

The Senior Sister took out a handkerchief to cover her mouth and nose, and coughed again. It was only once her throat cleared a little that she showed some signs of improvement.

After steadying her breath, she looked at the red on her handkerchief, her previous joy completely gone.

“The Huang Family is truly vicious…” The Senior Sister sighed. Just as she was about to get up to call a Priest to help remove the Debuffs from her body, hurried footsteps suddenly stopped outside her door.

“Miss Ye, the Huang Family has come again!”

“Again!?” Ye Wuxian clenched her jaw upon hearing this, her body stiffening. “What do they want now?!”

The person outside continued, “They say they’re here for the Prosperous Black Mountain…”

“The Prosperous Black Mountain has been developed and held onto by the Ye Family for nearly a hundred years! What right does the Huang Family have to meddle with it!?” Ye Wuxian immediately became angry, clenching her fists.

The person outside deeply sighed and said. “Though that’s true, clearly the Huang Family is seeking to settle accounts with the Ye Family. They are just using this as an excuse to devour us. They’ve set their sights on the Prosperous Black Mountain and just needed an excuse. Whether the excuse is reasonable or not doesn’t matter to them…”

Ye Wuxian naturally understood.

After all, the current Ye Family had already lost much of their resources to the Huang Family, and many of these resources originally belonged to the Ye Family. There were no disputes over them at all until recently.

In this regard, Huang Family acted like hyenas. Once the lion died, it was only then that they dared to jump in and feast on the Lion’s corpse.

Though Ye Wuxian hated this, she felt helpless about it.

After all, the Huang Family was now truly much stronger than the leaderless Ye Family.

“As one of the Ancient Noble Families, aren’t they afraid of being mocked if word of their actions spreads?” Ye Wuxian felt a headache, then asked. “What about the Loong Family(Dragon Family)? After so long, they must have sent some news?”

The person outside sighed. “The Loong Family… has not replied at all. Seems like they’ve decided to just watch from the sidelines.”

“Ungrateful dogs! They’re all ungrateful dogs!” Ye Wuxian grew angrier, but this aggravated her injury, causing her to cough heavily again.

The person outside quickly advised. “Miss Ye, please mind your health…”

“It’s nothing!” Ye Wuxian wiped the blood from her lips and walked toward the door, “Take me to meet those rats from the Huang Family. I want to see just how shameless they can be!”

…

Meanwhile, in a hotel room in Extremistis Country…

Lu Fan watched as Xing Chen pinned down the Blue Dragon King, her forehead covered in black lines.

Over the past half hour, this newly born Baby Dragon had challenged Xiao Ye, Xiao Cui, and Xing Chen in succession.

Without exception, it had been beaten all three times.

Lu Fan discovered that this Blue Dragon King must truly have something wrong with it. It was just too combative.

As a Level 1 Baby Dragon, it feared nothing. When it saw Xiao Ye and the others, its first reaction was not to accept its position as the fourth child of the Family, but to pick fights with them!

Even though it was a Combat Specialised Dragon, it naturally could not match the other three Baby Dragons.

It first pounced at Xiao Ye, releasing lightning from its wings. However, due to its Low Level and hence Low Attributes, it could not break through Xiao Ye’s defenses and was easily swatted away by her tail.

Then, it targeted Xiao Cui, but she simply cast Jade Shield on herself, leaving it helpless.

Finally, the Blue Dragon King turned its attention to the sleeping Xing Chen, sending a bolt of lightning that immediately angered her.

Xing Chen had the Lowest Mana Attributes and the Lowest Level among the three, so she was not as good against Lightning Element Magic as Xiao Ye. Moreover, since the Blue Dragon King was a Combat Specialised Dragon with certainly High Damage Output, this bolt of lightning must have hurt Xing Chen.

In this regard, one could only pray. After all, what kind of temperament did Xing Chen have? Even Lu Fan did not want to provoke this ‘queen’ like creature!

She had been sleeping peacefully when the Blue Dragon King shocked her awake. How could she possibly be happy about it?

So, the two Dragons created more chaos, until the Blue Dragon King was thoroughly subdued, pinned under Xing Chen’s claw.

Looking at the mess in the room, with scorch marks everywhere from lightning bolts, Lu Fan could not help but feel a headache coming on.

He had thought about breaking up the fights. However, this Blue Dragon King was just too combative. It was like a ‘Tibetan Mastiff’ with nothing but ‘kill kill kill’ in its mind.

For this kind of Pet Dragon, the best solution was to let it suffer a bit and learn about the power of its first, second, and third Sisters.

Now, with the Blue Dragon King pinned down by Xing Chen, it seemed somewhat subdued. Its cries were no longer as fierce, and its eyes turned to Lu Fan seeking help.

“You’re only Level 1 and you are already so combative. What will happen when you grow up?” Lu Fan felt helpless. After all, it was still his Pet Dragon, so he naturally could not let it be beaten too severely.

“I’ll have Xing Chen release you, but behave yourself. Don’t pick fights against them anymore, understand?” Lu Fan added, still worried.

The Blue Dragon King made an *Ang!* sound, seeming to agree with him.
