Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 283, The Fourth Pet Dragon Hatching!

The Gold Wing Medal possessed such terrifying authority that even Lu Fan was shocked.

City Lords were actually one rank higher than High Ranking Officials. Even so, such powerful figures now had to follow his instructions. This authority was simply unimaginable!

Even Qin Shanhai, a City Lord, was probably not worth mentioning before Lu Fan anymore.

Even Ruan Changfeng, whose previous grudges against him had given Lu Fan quite a headache was no longer an issue. Now that he had a Gold Wing Medal, just showing it would make Ruan Changfeng come begging for his mercy.

[This Gold Wing Medal is truly prestigious!] Lu Fan was satisfied as he put away the Gold Wing Medal and thanked Elder Han.

Elder Han nodded and sincerely said. “What’s there to thank? These are all things you deserve. Tu Jing and I have never been unfair. The Military Merits given to you are exactly what you earned, nothing more nothing less.”

“My boy, you’ve obtained all of this through your own ability. If you need to thank anyone, thank yourself for making such contributions to Dragon Country.”

Lu Fan thought this to be true. Whether it was exploring the Far North, discovering the Ancient God’s secrets, or securing over 400 resources for Dragon Country, none of these were things an ordinary person could achieve.

Becoming a Gold Wing Medal Holder was both luck and his own ability.

Regardless, his Military Merits were absolutely real.

Elder Han did not waste much more of Lu Fan’s time. After giving him the Military Merits, he said. “Alright, you must be tired after being in the National Trial Secret Realm for so long. Go back to the hotel and rest. We can return to Dragon Country early tomorrow morning.”

“Oh right, after you get back, I’ll have someone send you a list of betting resources to carefully look over.”

Lu Fan was confused. “Why do I need to look at the list of wagers? Isn’t choosing which resources your job, Elder Han?”

Elder Han smiled, while Zhao Shengming beside him said with a laugh. “Isn’t Elder Han’s meaning obvious? He’s letting you pick whatever resources you want from the list as a reward from the country!”

“That’s my reward!?” Lu Fan was immediately delighted upon hearing this.

Elder Han nodded and said. “Generally speaking, if our Dragon Country representatives achieve excellent results, the country will naturally need to reward them. The won resources can be selected by the representatives first. If you choose a Dungeon Instance, it will be temporarily closed to others, letting you clear it till you are bored. If you choose mining deposits, you can send people to mine them, with all profits belonging to you until you are willing to give it up and return it back to the country.”

“Look, with your outstanding performance this year, this basic amount is what you deserve. I’ll send you the list later. You can pick out 10 and the country will reward them to you for your own personal use. Once again, these will not be open to the public and will be for your own personal use until you wish to return them.”

Such a reward made Lu Fan want to jump with joy.

He was not particularly interested in things like mining deposits. After all, he was on his own, not part of a Force with dedicated Lifestyle Specialised Profession workers who could mine for profit.

Still, Lu Fan was very interested in Dungeon Instances and Leveling Spots.

Just the Dungeon Instances alone were extremely valuable. When a never before touched Dungeon gets Cleared for the first time, both the Experience Points and Completion Rewards would be extremely generous. It was only after clearing it many times that the Rewards gradually decreased.

Just like the Poison Spider Forest Dungeon. Lu Fan had run it so many times with Qin Qiu and the others just to complete a Poison Spider Equipment Set for Tao Xiaoman.

If it had been a newly discovered Dungeon, they might have gotten all the equipment in just 3-5 runs.

Lu Fan naturally would not refuse such a reward and happily agreed.

Afterwards, Elder Han personally escorted Lu Fan back to the hotel to rest, as he was also heading there to sign resource transfer agreements with Jin Zaian and other delegates.

After returning to his room, Lu Fan immediately closed the door, but he did not rest. Instead, he sat on the bed and eagerly took out the Blue Dragon King’s Dragon Egg.

Of course, Lu Fan first summoned all three of his main Pet Dragons, having them sit in their Infant Form in a row on the bed. He naturally had to inform them that their Family was about to have a new member.

Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui were already used to this, having learned from Xing Chen’s example. They seemed very calm about the arrival of their fourth Sibling.

As for Xing Chen, she just laid down to sleep after coming out, not even listening to what Lu Fan was saying.

Clearly, for this ungrateful ‘Daughter’ believes having another Brother or Sister would not be that big of a deal.

Their acceptance made dealing with these three ‘Baby Dragons’ easier.

After Lu Fan explained the situation and saw no Dragon objecting, he confidently cast Dragon Taming on the Blue Dragon King’s Dragon Egg.

Surprisingly, Dragon Taming succeeded on the first try this time.

Lu Fan felt relieved, hoping that this hatching Dragon would not be as ‘rebellious’ as Xing Chen.

Just like before, light emanated from the Dragon Egg, connecting to Lu Fan’s chest.

After the brief flash of light, cracking sounds of Eggshell being eaten could be heard.

As the light gradually dissipated, Lu Fan looked toward his chest.

Sure enough, a Little Dragon sat in the Eggshell, happily eating away.

Lu Fan examined this Little Dragon and found that as expected of a Dragon King Pet Dragon, his fourth Baby Dragon was also flawless in appearance!

This Dragon was clearly a Combat Specialised Dragon, quite similar to how Xiao Ye looked when she was young.

However, unlike Xiao Ye, this Baby Dragon’s scales were blue and purple with hints of red, very much like the color of lightning.

Moreover, there were purple lights flickered beneath its scales, as if storing violent power waiting to be released.

Additionally, its wings seemed to be made of lightning itself, wrapped in crackling electric arcs that made Lu Fan afraid to touch them.

These electric arcs were not just on the Baby Dragon’s wings. They would occasionally spark around its body too, making terrifying explosive sounds.

Finally, after finishing the Eggshell, the Baby Dragon rose into the air, leaving trails of electric arcs in its wake, creating a beautiful sight.

As the Baby Dragon’s body expanded, it finally landed on the bed and straightened up to look at Lu Fan.

Seeming to sense its strong connection with Lu Fan, the Baby Dragon’s gaze toward him was relatively friendly, like Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui had been initially.

However, its gaze quickly shifted from Lu Fan to Xiao Ye, Xiao Cui, and Xing Chen.

Lu Fan was not sure what this Baby Dragon intended to do, but he felt its gaze was… hostile!
