Chapter 627: Chapter 257: Rewards and Exchange (Two-in-One Big Chapter)_4

“By the way, Lord Rein, I heard that all your weapons were damaged this time?” Yumaz asked.

“Yes.”

“I suggest, Lord Rein, that you could visit the Exchange Hall later, where you can contact master forgers to order custom weapons. Although it takes some time, the earlier you place the order, the sooner you will receive your weapon.”

“Thank you for the reminder. Then, if there is nothing else, Lord Yumaz, Lady Olena, I shall take my leave.” Rein said as he stood up.

….

After leaving the Task Hall, Rein immediately headed for the Exchange Hall.

After all, Rein had long been anticipating the Mist Catalyst, the defensive first-grade fire witchcraft, and the Metal Morphing Spell.

After making two consecutive left turns, Rein arrived at the specialized item Exchange Hall of the division, in front of a towering and majestic three-story building made of white strip stone.

As Rein entered the spacious and lofty Exchange Hall, he found that like the Task Hall, there were slightly more people coming and going than last time.

It wasn’t long before it was Rein’s turn.

The young girl stood up with a smile and said:

“Hello, my lord, how may I assist you?”

“I need to exchange a few items.” Saying this, Rein handed over his freshly minted golden emblem to her.

The girl was slightly startled, seemingly surprised at Rein’s youth yet possession of a golden emblem, but she quickly accepted it respectfully with both hands and placed the emblem into a specially crafted slot.

“I want to exchange for a Mist Catalyst… wait a minute!” Suddenly, Rein thought of something.

In his haste to come here, he seemed to have overlooked one point.

His authority level had increased now.

That meant he could check for higher-level exchange items.

So, could it be possible that there were better witchcraft spells available for choice?

“First, look up for me all the first-grade fire witchcraft spells I can exchange with a defensive orientation.”

“Of course, my lord.”

“My lord, you now have golden-level authority, and according to the regulations, you can view up to diamond-level exchangeable items. Currently, we found two items; please take a look at the Wisdom Slate.” the young girl said.

Hmm?

Can only ascend one tier?

Rein clearly remembered that previously, at bronze level, he could view up two tiers—is it because high-level special items require confidentiality?

At this moment, the Wisdom Slate in front of Rein refreshed with several lines of white text.

After a quick glance, Rein felt a bit disappointed.

Because the Wisdom Slate still displayed the original two items—the Resistance Fire Circle and Flame Shield, while the first-grade fire witchcraft, ‘Flame Protection,’ which Naya had mentioned before, was not listed.

Rein took a closer look at the Wisdom Slate.

“Source: Provided by the Seth School.”

“Source: Provided by the Charl School.”

Could it be that certain witchcraft spells are proprietary to particular schools or individuals?

After all, as strong as the Sword Bearers organization might be, it couldn’t possibly collect all forms of witchcraft.

It seems this question would need to be asked elsewhere, Rein thought.

“Hello, could you also look up metal-type witchcraft for me?”

“Certainly, please wait a moment.” The girl began to search quickly.

…

A minute later, as Rein looked at the Wisdom Slate still showing only the Metal Morphing Spell, he slightly shook his head.

“Exchange the Mist Catalyst, Resistance Fire Circle, and the Metal Morphing Spell for me.”

“Right away, my lord!” The girl’s eyes sparkled, as she rarely encountered someone exchanging so many high-value special items at once.

Soon, the girl handed Rein a rectangular brown wooden-patterned box, saying, “My lord, this contains the Mist Catalyst.”

“If you consider consuming it, you may want to do so in the quiet rooms of the Training Hall. Should any discomfort arise, you can immediately contact a physician for treatment.”

“Also, please refer to the consumption instructions inside the box for any additional precautions during use.”

Rein took the wooden box and nodded.

“Additionally, since this is your first time exchanging for a Sorcery Scroll, according to the regulations, here is a confidentiality contract that requires your signature, my lord. The primary content of the contract pertains to the clause that limits usage to yourself only.”

The girl continued, handing over a scroll radiating with magical light.

Rein took the scroll, unrolled it, and looked it over.

Indeed, it mainly stipulated that rewards exchanged from within the Sword Bearers of the Empire, including but not limited to witchcraft, Extraordinary Battle Techniques, and other knowledge, were for personal use only and could not be disseminated without permission.

This was naturally of no concern; Rein swiftly signed with the quill pen.

At that moment, the girl smiled sweetly and handed over two parchment scrolls containing witchcraft spells to Rein.

“My lord, is there anything else you require?”

“No, that’s all, thank you.” Rein stood and left.

…

A few minutes later, Rein returned to his own room.

He first set aside the box containing the Mist Catalyst and, after giving it some thought, eagerly unrolled the parchment scroll with the ‘Metal Morphing Spell,’ starting to read it carefully.
