Chapter 624: Chapter 257 Rewards and Exchange (Two in One Big Chapter)

Soon, a capable young woman dressed in an army uniform, with golden foliage and two crescent moons on her epaulettes, walked in.

“Is this Lord Reine? I am Olena Field, the Deputy Secretary of the Task Hall. Lord Reine, hello,” the young woman said politely, smiling and greeting Reine.

“Hello, Deputy Secretary Olena,” Reine smiled and stood up.

“Lord Reine, we were just about to send someone to find you. Now that you are here at the Task Hall, I wonder if you have some time? We would like to ask you a few questions about your mission,”

“Perhaps you are not aware, but this is a standard procedure for upgrading mission ratings,” Olena added, seeing Reine’s hesitation and confusion.

“Okay, is it here?” Reine nodded.

“Right here in this meeting room, please follow me,” Olena nodded, smiling.

The female clerk ‘clattered’ over to the staff passageway on the side, quickly pulled open the barrier, and led Reine into the inner part of the Task Hall.

Then, Olena led Reine to a meeting room inside the hall.

After both were seated, Olena said with a smile:

“Lord Reine, please wait a moment, Deputy Secretary Yumaz Littler from the Task Hall will also be here shortly. He is very interested in the mission you just completed.”

…

Meanwhile, the muscular man at the door had been a Sword Bearer for two and a half years, naturally, he knew Olena, the Deputy Secretary of the Task Hall, but had never really interacted with her.

It was said that she generally did not interfere with ordinary golden-level missions.

But he had just seen the Deputy Secretary, smiling warmly, personally inviting the young man in front of him to the meeting room.

The muscular man was a bit stupefied…

Less than a minute later, Yumaz Littler, dressed in an army uniform with golden foliage and a sun on his epaulettes, also entered the meeting room.

“Holy shit, what’s going on here?” the muscular man realized he had underestimated the young man he had just seen.

However, looking at the empty counter in front of him, he was a bit speechless!

Could it be that after waiting for so long, there’s no one to attend to me?

Suddenly, the young female clerk ‘clattered’ out again.

This somewhat relieved the muscular man.

Big shots, small shots, what does it matter to me how impressive others are?

After waiting so long, it was finally his turn.

But as soon as the young female clerk came over, she kept bowing deeply and apologizing, “Sir, I am sorry, but I must trouble you to go to another window,” while quickly pulling a sign from under the table that read ‘Not accepting applications’.

After she finished speaking, she once again ‘clattered’ toward the meeting room.

Damn!

Watching the young female clerk’s retreating figure, the muscular man looked frustrated!

…

Inside the meeting room.

The young female clerk served each big shot a cup of fragrant Yorton red tea, then stood at the door of the meeting room, acting as a server.

“Lord Reine, this is Mr. Yumaz Littler, the Deputy Secretary of the Task Hall. He is also very interested in the mission you completed. Also, as per the protocol, at least two people must be present for the inquiry,” Olena introduced.

“Mr. Littler, hello,” Reine bowed slightly.

As soon as the other person entered, Reine glanced at his epaulettes; the man in front of him was an imperial brigadier general.

“Lord Reine, you are indeed quite young! First, I want to thank you for assisting the Rock Team and rescuing the survivors of the two Earthshaker squads,”

“Mr. Littler, I am also a Sword Bearer; it’s what I should do,”

“Lord Reine, I am delighted that you think so,”

“Lord Reine, since the mission you completed with the Rock Team might be upgraded to a diamond-level mission, there are a few points that need further verification according to the rules. Simply put, you need to elaborate on some mission details for confirmation,”

A diamond-level mission?

Reine’s eyebrows rose slightly, “Okay, Mr. Littler, please ask.”

“First off, regarding the strength of the enemies you encountered, according to the Rock Team’s report, you defeated two Female Naga Leaders? Is there evidence for this claim?”

“I’m sorry, but according to intelligence, the combat strength of the Female Naga Leaders reached the level of a Peak Knight, and although, Lord Reine, you had an exceptionally impressive performance in the Sword Bearer assessment, some people at the division still have doubts,”

“I understand, as human witnesses, the members of the Earthshaker Saberrent Bear Team and the Raptor Team who were rescued should all be able to testify,”

Yumaz nodded and said, “I have already sent out letters to these individuals you mentioned. Anything else?”

“Umm… Miss Alyosha from the Royal Alchemist Association should be able to as well,” Reine added.

Yumaz was slightly taken aback and looked at Olena, who nodded.

“Okay, Lord Reine, Mr. Littler means to ask if you have any physical evidence?” Olena asked.

“Sorry, the situation was quite urgent at the time, and I didn’t have the opportunity to bring back the bodies of the two four-armed Nagas,” Reine shook his head.

“Well, that’s indeed a pity, it could have increased more…” Yumaz shook his head, feeling slightly regretful…

“Knock knock knock!”

At that moment, knocking sounds came from the door.

“Come in!”

The same young female clerk who had received Reine quickly ran in, holding a box, came to Olena’s side, and whispered, “Madam, this is an Image Stone brought back by a Griffin Knight from the Earthshaker Saberrent Bear Team.”
