Chapter 2950: Chapter 2951: Refining the Mirror

Sunny Poem Room.

”Will you continue to stay here, sir?” A buzzing voice came from a dog-hole in the empty wall.

Angel, who had just emerged from the mirror passage, picked up the Geometric Lock from the ground and replied, ”I’ve just studied the Sweet Dream. While the memory is still fresh, I need to record some relevant experimental data... If inspiration strikes, I might even try alchemy.”

Pausing for a moment, Angel glanced around and continued, ”Hmm, I’ll stay here then, since no one’s around for now.”

The air was silent for a moment, before a voice came from the depths of the dark dog-hole again: ”Should I report to the Dominator now?”

Angel nodded: ”Go ahead, Genggui.”

Deep inside the dog-hole, Big Treasures listened to the name ”Genggui” without much reaction... got used to it.

”Then I’ll be off.”

Angel murmured an acknowledgment, then added, ”By the way, Ghost, I’ll need an absolutely quiet space later, so I might temporarily seal off the Sunny Poem Room with the Geometric Lock.”

”If Lady Adanis or the Wise Sovereign asks, just tell them directly.”

Big Treasures: ”Understood.”

Seeing Angel had no further instructions, Big Treasures closed the hole on the wall and disappeared from the Sunny Poem Room.

Once confirming Big Treasures had left, Angel let out a long sigh of relief.

What he’s about to do, he’d rather no one sees.

Because he’s planning to use the Dream Conch to draw the entire Sunny Poem Room into the Wilderness of Dreams.

Originally, Angel intended to draw the Sunny Poem Room into the Wilderness of Dreams, to get familiar with it in advance—a preparation for if he ever truly visits the Nightmare Realm’s Sunny Poem Room in the future.

However, widespread use of the Dream Conch would certainly uncover its mysterious aura. And this mysterious aura might catch the attention of Adanis and the Wise Sovereign.

Knowing Adanis isn’t a worry, but the Wise Sovereign is shrewd; he might deduce something.

Moreover, when the Wilderness of Dreams opens in the future, with the Wise Sovereign’s wisdom, he’ll surely figure out what Angel did in the Sunny Poem Room.

So initially, Angel was hesitant about whether to pull the Sunny Poem Room into the Wilderness of Dreams.

But now, the reason he’s made this decision is primarily due to Laplace previously asking Angel to refine a mirror outside.

This gave him an inspiration:

He went to the Mirror Domain to study the Sweet Dream, gained inspiration, and doing alchemy seemed natural, right?

Needing an absolutely quiet space for alchemy is quite normal too, right?

His inspiration overflowed, once again touching the mystical edge, and he refined alchemy works with a mysterious aura, which is normal too?

Just as he also needs to refine a mirror, isn’t this timely?

Everything in the logic flows so smoothly, even if the Wise Sovereign notices something odd, the backing from Laplace—the demand for refining the mirror is from Laplace.

So, no one would think that Angel is making such a commotion just to cover the mysterious waves produced by the Dream Conch drawing the Sunny Poem Room.

Of course, Angel doesn’t want to create too much disturbance, thus he plans to use the Geometric Lock to cover the entire Sunny Poem Room.

This way, it ensures the mysterious aura doesn’t leak out as much as possible.

Even if it does leak, the explanation based on previous words will suffice, no problem whatsoever.

With this thought, Angel no longer hesitated.

Immediately activated the Geometric Lock.

This time the activation didn’t enlarge the Geometric Lock but instead emitted light halos from within, which instantly covered the whole Sunny Poem Room.

The Sunny Poem Room appeared to be under a huge dome at this moment.

The change in the Sunny Poem Room was first noticed by those in the Wise Hall, and Adanis also sensed the light membrane that isolates perception. She furrowed her brows, intending to check out the Sunny Poem Room’s situation when Big Treasures appeared.

Big Treasures dutifully relayed Angel’s words to Adanis.

After hearing, Adanis’ eyebrows momentarily relaxed though still slightly furrowed: ”Just studied the Sweet Dream and now alchemy? So quickly got the insight?”

Listening to Adanis’ mutterings, the ”Nose”—the Black Earl floating in mid-air—said faintly: ”Most Alchemists have such habits, prompted by inspiration, they care little for their surroundings, even in the abyss darkness, they’ll alchemize regardless.”

Adanis, who practices alchemy herself, understood Black Earl’s words, but she never experienced such a situation. Her alchemy is more step-by-step rather than sudden inspiration.

However, the Wise Sovereign comprehends this feeling, laughed lightly: ”Since inspiration is rare, when it emerges, one must seize it immediately—this is an Alchemist’s instinct.”

Then, the Wise Sovereign looked at Big Treasures to inquire about Angel’s situation in the Mirror Domain.

Big Treasures: ”I haven’t entered the Reflection Space, unaware of what Mr. Angele studied. However, Master Laplace and its three Temporal Bodies have all gone to the Reflection Space...”

The Wise Sovereign’s eyes flashed a hint of doubt: Laplace and all its Temporal Bodies went to Reflection Space?

Why is this? Can’t Laplace handle it alone; why call all the Temporal Bodies?

Could it be that Angel’s research made significant progress? Requires cooperation from all Laplace’s Temporal Bodies?

While the Wise Sovereign hesitated, Black Earl said faintly: ”Angel is a member of the Research and Development Institute, a genius among geniuses, attuned to inspiration even in the minutiae; Angel having inspiration and doing alchemy is nothing unusual.”

Black Earl confidently stated this, owing to witnessing many members of the Research and Development Institute, aware of their extraordinary ability to capture inspiration.

However, Black Earl merely talked about Angel having inspiration and doing alchemy but refrained from betting on what to expect from Angel’s refinement.

Could it be an intermediate rank alchemy tool? Or perhaps a high order alchemy tool?

Black Earl knew Angel had refined high-order alchemy tools but personally leaned toward intermediate rank because transcending anomalies of high order tools isn’t easy. Even if Angel manages to refine a high-order tool, he may deliberately suppress its grade to avoid getting lost in anomalies.

As for the mysterious object... Black Earl never considered that.

If mysterious objects were easy to refine, then over the years, there wouldn’t be no mysterious alchemists born in the Southern Domain.

While the Southern Domain holds many mysterious objects, there isn’t even a single mysterious alchemist...

Currently, the only one closest to the mysterious tier is Angel. But Angel’s current level is still too low, and trying to refine a mysterious object is very difficult.

Though the Black Earl doesn’t believe Angel can refine a mysterious object, his words have dispelled any doubts among those present.

Even Adanis, who had furrowed brows, relaxed.

It’s normal for Angel to have inspiration and engage in alchemy, and although he chose the Qingkong Poetry Room, there’s nothing unsightly within, so it’s fine for Angel to refine there.

The only thing that makes Adanis a little apprehensive is... hoping Angel doesn’t get carried away and end up refining the Margaret Gold.

After all, the Margaret Gold in Angel’s possession is Olao’s essence.

Angel, who is constantly on the minds of everyone in the Sage Hall, has already begun his alchemical preparations.

This time, Angel intends to refine a mirror, but the grade of the item has already been decided in Angel’s heart.

It’s not the intermediate or high-grade tool the Black Earl speculated, but an initial tool.

The Black Earl is worried that Angel might fall into anomalies, and Angel himself has some concerns. Hence, he initially set his sights on an initial tool.

Generally speaking, initial tools do not have anomalies, and even if they do, they are very simple ones.

However, although Angel is refining an initial tool, he is prepared to encounter anomalies since he not only plans to make an initial tool, he is also prepared to use: the Mad Hat’s coronation.

The Mad Hat’s coronation has a high probability of turning an initial tool into an intermediate tool.

If so, the difficulty of anomalies will increase accordingly. But Angel can handle the anomalies of intermediate tools.

If he were to refine an intermediate tool that, due to the Mad Hat’s coronation, becomes a high-grade tool, Angel will have to be more cautious.

Nevertheless, what Angel is thinking about is the ”White Hat’s coronation.”

The White Hat’s coronation can optimize magic patterns. If the magic pattern is already complete, it will enhance the effect and leave a certain mysterious aura.

Of course, there’s also a certain probability of a Black Hat’s coronation occurring.

The Black Hat’s coronation can cause a transformative change in magic patterns, inevitably bringing about special effects.

Although Feng said the probability of a Black Hat appearing is low, Angel has already encountered a Black Hat twice before—once while crafting a Sunlight Garden Scroll, which turned into the Sunlight Sanctuary due to the Black Hat; another was at his base in Princess Town, where the concealment magical energy array, through the Black Hat’s coronation, led to the emergence of the rabbit Cha Cha.

If a Black Hat’s coronation truly occurs, Angel would be... more expectant.

After all, the previous two Black Hat occurrences were not of genuine alchemy. One was creating a Magic Rune Scroll, and the other was carving a Magical Energy Array. Even if a Black Hat appears, there would be no anomalies.

Angel wonders what kind of anomaly would occur if a Black Hat appears this time.

Angel has considered that a Black Hat could make anomalies perilous... But as an alchemist, does one really think about avoiding anomalies forever?

In a way, Angel’s alchemy this time is also a gamble.

After all, using the Mad Hat’s coronation means he must be prepared for both outcomes. If a White Hat appears, producing an initial tool is a form of caution.

If a Black Hat appears, Angel is not afraid to become a courageous torrent and face unknown anomalies.

Angel is of two minds, but his hands remain exceptionally steady.

He took out all the materials needed this time, all of which are low-grade, but with top-quality, enhancing the effects of the alchemy.

Among them, the main materials are: Arcane Platinum, the core of white Porodense Stone, Kombu Silver, and diguam Armor.

There are about a dozen auxiliary materials, more than half of which are not truly used in the alchemical item itself but instead aid the alchemy, such as Moltflower and Hawthorn Cold Water, used for rapid heating and cooling.

After taking out the materials, Angel already had a direction for refining in his mind.

He plans to refine a half-length mirror about the size of an ordinary portrait.

The overall structure will be a combination of assembly and embedding, interconnected with magic patterns.

Arcane Platinum will be used for the frame, the core of the white Porodense Stone will stabilize space, Kombu Silver will be used for the mirror’s surface... and diguam Armor will utilize its trait as the core effect.

The trait of diguam Armor is: sturdiness.

Angel’s main requirement for this half-length mirror is that it be solid and reliable, so it doesn’t easily shatter with a bump.

With Angel’s capability, he could add many other effects, but this time, he only intends for the core effect to be ”sturdiness,” with other effects being handled by the magic patterns.

Since he has a concept in mind and because this is essentially a simple initial tool.

Thus, Angel’s refining speed was quick, and in roughly half an hour, the various parts of the mirror were completed.

In fact, Angel could have gone faster, like making log-in devices, producing them in bulk at once. But since this is a formal alchemy process, Angel meticulously attended to every step.

Angel even took the time to engrave an emblem representing ”Crafted by Angel.”

Generally speaking, Angel rarely adds his own emblem when refining initial tools. But given the use of the Mad Hat’s coronation in this alchemy, whether it’s the White Hat or Black Hat, a mysterious aura is guaranteed.

Although this mirror is for Angel’s personal use, the mysterious aura it holds could easily attract prying eyes.

To prevent future trouble, Angel engraved his emblem to indicate it as his creation.

After completing all this, Angel finally began to etch the magic patterns.

The etching of magic patterns is also a detailed task, particularly since he intends to use the Mad Hat’s coronation. To conceal this mysterious magic pattern, he needs to etch special concealment-type patterns, and also a linkage magic pattern. If outsiders attempt dismantling, the linkage pattern will directly destroy the hidden mysterious pattern.

All these patterns are engraved internally, requiring meticulous craftsmanship. Moreover, during the etching process, Angel must continuously output stable magic power, which is also a test.

Even for Angel, this process is intellectually and mentally taxing.

Time slowly passed, and after three hours, he was finally at the last magic pattern.

From the outside, there appeared to be no change in Angel’s actions, which still seemed steady, but at this moment, he had even entered a supercomputer state, multitasking, with several Hands of Magic faintly appearing behind him. It looked as if he was prepared for a massive effort.

And that was indeed true, for in the next second, he was about to use the Mad Hat’s coronation.

Once the Mad Hat’s coronation is successfully applied, the refinement of this mirror will be completed. By then, regardless of whether it’s a White Hat or Black Hat, there will certainly be a stirring of mysterious aura.

And at that moment, it is also the best time for Angel to use the Dream Conch to draw the Qingkong Poetry Room into the Wilderness of Dreams!
