Chapter 2924: Chapter 2925: A Nonexistent Language

”Humans are indeed the race that loves to indulge in wild imaginings the most.” Laplace glanced at Angel lightly: ”Vision is not memory, and what is inherited is not vision either.”

Angel’s skeptical expression was really too obvious, sometimes looking at Luigi, other times at Laplace. He was just short of saying, I suspect there’s some trickery among you.

So, Laplace directly told Angel to speak his mind.

Laplace’s personality was just like this, straightforward and decisive.

Angel also didn’t hesitate and shared his speculations. Then, he received this response from Laplace.

”Luigi is indeed different from my other Temporal Bodies, he did not receive my abilities, but rather...” At this point, Laplace paused slightly, seemingly pondering whether to reveal the truth.

Very soon, Laplace made a decision.

”What he received was a part of my spirit.”

Laplace did speak out, and her thought was quite simple. Once she started participating in the construction of the Crystal Origin of Dreams, she had already established a profound connection with Angel. Of course, she could sever this connection, but... there was no need.

She had vaguely felt before that the Crystal Origin of Dreams was beneficial to her. Later, when she discussed power issues with Glaipnir, she also discreetly discussed the influence of the Crystal Origin of Dreams on herself. Glaipnir dared not neglect, and through divination, he glimpsed a secret. From these secrets, it was known that the Crystal Origin of Dreams not only benefited her but might even change the entire situation of the Mirror Domain.

At that time, Glaipnir was a bit regretful, Laplace actually had a chance to seize the controlling power of the Crystal Origin of Dreams back then; if she had seized it, the benefits would surely be greater and more abundant!

Currently, just obtaining one authority as Angel mentioned seems somewhat not worthwhile.

Laplace, however, directly rejected this idea.

The Crystal Origin of Dreams is indeed precious, there’s no doubt about that, but the so-called dual-game involving both the Dream Realm and the Mirror World, even if the Mirror World helped her fully, would she have a way to get control power? Isn’t there also an opponent, the Dream Realm?

Moreover, is it truly just a dual-game?

Could the intersection of the Dream Realm and the Mirror World really create such a vast smaller world? If it could, why hadn’t it done so before?

There must be a third party involved, and this third party is the real leader.

The third party is definitely not something like a Dream Conch, Laplace is very clear, the Dream Conch is only a tool.

A third party that can act as a leader, giving Laplace a sense transcending above the Dream Realm and the Mirror World, must be a world of a higher level.

From the fact that the Dream Realm and the Mirror World don’t touch the third party world, this is evident; they are not contemptuous, but truly in awe.

And what is the third party? Laplace doesn’t know.

But she knows that the third party is definitely brought by Angel.

It could even be said that Angel can to a certain extent control the third world. The reason is simple, without the third world joining, the Dream Realm and the Mirror World could not have constructed the Crystal Origin of Dreams, and Angel can mobilize the third world to enter the arena anytime at will, which is the evidence.

Since Angel can mobilize the third party to enter, can he let the third party exit?

Most likely, yes.

After the third party exits, will the Crystal Origin of Dreams still exist?

Absolutely not.

Therefore, even if I am the real Controller of the Crystal Origin of Dreams, it might not be stable. Angel can make the Crystal Origin of Dreams disappear at any moment.

It sounds impossible, but on further thought, Angel was able to establish the Wilderness of Dreams, and now he has established the Crystal Origin of Dreams, doesn’t he have a few tricks up his sleeve?

Just like the issue of authority, without Angel, would I really have a way to obtain authority? Authority is comparable to the Law, yet Angel can constrain authority and bestow it; is this really something one can simply learn?

Thus, Laplace is very clear. Naturally, she herself does not have such a strong Desire to vie for the control of the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

The Crystal Origin of Dreams is an opportunity, a chance, that much is true. But for her, the Mirror World is the true stage.

If she can influence the Mirror World through the Crystal Origin of Dreams, all the better. And to do this, she doesn’t need to control the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

After hearing Laplace’s words, Glaipnir still didn’t care much. Because compared to Angel, the gap in strength is too large, so much so that he can at least use this point to turn the situation around.

But Laplace only said one sentence to this: ”Can you see Angel’s future?”

Laplace knew Glaipnir too well, just this sentence entirely checkmated Glaipnir.

Because for an Astrologer, the most terrifying thing is not necessarily enormous strength, but... the unknown.

Glaipnir cannot see Angel’s future.

Not only Glaipnir cannot see, but even Laplace’s Reflection of the Heart cannot see.

Of course, Laplace didn’t mind too much about this; she wasn’t planning to be enemies with Angel in the first place. But using this reason to make Glaipnir see the real situation is quite good, too.

Putting aside this tangential topic, overall, it’s impossible for Laplace to sever her connection with Angel.

Though Laplace does not like judging the value of doing something or whether a person deserves attention based on value, she has to admit that Angel’s importance in her heart has now surpassed that of the Wise Sovereign.

Given this, Laplace doesn’t mind revealing some of her secrets.

...

”Spirit?” Angel murmured softly. At first, he didn’t understand the specific connotation of ”spirit,” but when he connected Luigi with spirit, he vaguely formed an idea.

The Wise Sovereign often mentions ”how things were ten thousand years ago,” which hints that ten thousand years ago and now are not the same.

To put it plainly, times have changed, the world has changed.

Whether it’s the mountains and rivers, all living things, or the outlook of civilizations, all are subject to change with the passage of time.

And vocabulary, in fact, is the same.

Not to mention words from the Old Calendar, even words and grammar from the New Calendar go through new interpretations over time.

What Laplace spoke of as spirit should be an Old Calendar term, naturally interpreted differently from New Calendar terms. In New Calendar vocabulary, spirit similar to inspiration, is a description of perception.

In ancient vocabulary, spirit is a highly idealistic concept.

In Angel’s own words, it could be summarized as—sensitivity.

Which means, Laplace gave a part of her sensitivity to Luigi.

Thinking this way, it actually makes sense.

Emotion is the convergence of inspiration, the introspection of idealism, and the source of emotion. To create poetry, Luigi needs emotion.

It’s entirely reasonable for Laplace to give a part of her emotion to Luigi.

After all, perhaps because Laplace gave a part of her emotion to Luigi, she now seems cold and indifferent, lacking humanity... Even though she isn’t human.

Most likely, Laplace becoming a worthless woman is due to her lacking that emotion from Luigi.

Angel pondered, rubbing his chin, and thought to himself: come to think of it, maybe behind every worthless woman, there’s actually a sentimental fool?

While Angel’s mind was running wild, Laplace’s gaze toward him became increasingly peculiar.

It always felt like Angel was thinking about something bad.

Angel also noticed Laplace’s gaze. He couldn’t help but mumble ”very perceptive” to himself, then casually collected his scattered thoughts.

Returning to the topic of emotion, Luigi’s final dialogue with the Celestial God was also a performance full of emotion.

However, the performance was so real, it seemed like something that couldn’t merely be written. Instead, it felt more like a direct reenactment from experience.

Angel glanced at Laplace.

The other party’s gaze was still not calm, uncertain if it was because of him or due to the unresolved feelings in Luigi’s performance?

If it’s the latter...

Perhaps, it’s really not just a performance, but Luigi had directly used Laplace’s experience in the concluding Chapter of ”Ode to the Spirit of the Sea.”

This would also explain why, after Luigi’s performance ended, Laplace, who should have been happy with a high score of 23, furrowed her brows and stared at Luigi intently. It’s worth noting that as a worthless woman, her usual expression was extremely indifferent, and frowning was rare.

At this moment, the frown was probably like... an adult revisiting the impetuous diary they wrote in their youth, only to feel embarrassed by the perceived flamboyance and recklessness.

Is Laplace glaring at Luigi because of embarrassment?

Angel didn’t know and found it inappropriate to continue questioning.

Anyway, now that he knew Luigi, like the other Temporal Bodies, was also remarkable, that was enough.

Even though Luigi’s improvised original might have an amateurish feel to it, his serious creations were still impressive, even mixed with Laplace’s emotion, it did not affect the overall effect.

The enthusiasm of the audience speaks volumes.

This final part was very well done.

Although Angel did not intend to question Laplace on whether she truly experienced such self-dialogues with a Divine Spirit, there was something else he wanted to know—

”What language was Luigi using in that final dialogue, and what does it mean?”

After a moment of silence, Laplace softly replied, ”It’s a language that doesn’t exist.”

”Doesn’t exist?” Angel instinctively assumed: ”Did Luigi invent this language?”

Laplace gently shook her head: ”No.”

Laplace paused and said, ”You should know about world fusion, right?”

Angel: ”Yes.”

Not only did he know, but he was somewhat looking forward to encountering world fusion... After all, only world fusion could prompt a reaction from the Eye of the Sky, and the secrets of the Eye of the Sky were Angel’s deepest secret. He hadn’t told anyone about the Eye of the Sky, not even Sanders was aware of its existence.

”There are many theories about why worlds merge, mostly revolving around the logic of big fish eating small fish. I don’t know if this theory is correct, but I do know there are exceptions to this fusion logic...” Laplace whispered. ”Do you think two worlds with nearly equal energy levels can merge?”

Laplace emphasized ”nearly equal energy levels.”

If worlds are to be classified by level, they are worlds of similar levels.

For instance, the Abyss World and the Four Corners Wizards’ Realm are of roughly the same level. Such similarly leveled worlds might overlap, but fusion... is that possible?

Angel pondered, ”Before this, I would say impossible. But since you’re saying it, then it must be possible.”

Laplace: ”Indeed, even worlds with nearly equal levels can merge. I saw it once... and it may well be a unique case.”

”Those two worlds are far away from the Wizards’ Realm, even more distant than the Panic Realm. I don’t know the names of these two worlds, but after they merged, a large number of memory fragments of wise life were flushed into the Sea of Void Mirror through mirror reflection.”

”Because those two worlds are too far from the Mirror Domain where I am located, all those memory fragments were actually transmitted through the Sea Eye.”

Angel: ”Sea Eye? I remember you saying that one of the most dangerous places in the Sea of Void Mirror is the Sea Eye.”

Laplace nodded: ”Yes, the Sea Eye is very dangerous. But it’s also full of opportunities.”

”The Sea of Void Mirror exists in every major Mirror Domain, but they are not truly connected. It’s like... the Wilderness of Dreams and the Crystal Origin of Dreams in your mouth, sharing the same origin, but not necessarily connected.”

”However, although the Sea of Void Mirror is not connected, the Sea Eye is connected; it serves as a link, or you could say it’s the hub of the Sea of Void Mirror, linking the Sea of Void Mirror across various Mirror Domains.”

Upon hearing this, Angel’s eyes lit up.

Laplace seemed to understand what Angel was thinking and gently said, ”I know you want to ask if you can reach other Mirror Domains through the Sea Eye.”

”Perhaps you can, but why take the Sea Eye route? The Sea Eye is extremely dangerous. If beings from the Mirror really want to go to other Mirror Domains, we have other methods that are safer and more convenient.”

”It’s not the focus right now, but I can tell you that the method of traveling across different Mirror Domains is mostly only usable by beings from the Mirror.”

”Back to the topic of the Sea Eye, the Sea Eye connects the Sea of Void Mirror across various Mirror Domains; therefore, as long as memory fragments are flushed into the Sea Eye, we can possibly obtain related messages through the Sea Eye.”

”The fusion of worlds implies the dissipation of a large amount of information. Much of this dissipated information flows into the Sea of Void Mirror, with most of it turning into blankness in the Sea of Void Mirror. A small portion is transmitted to other Mirror Domains through the Sea Eye, although the result is mostly still turning into blankness.”

”I was lucky at that time since I was near the Sea Eye, I got the information about the fusion of those two worlds from it...”

”In both worlds existed wise life.”

”And what Luigi recited in the last Chapter of ’Ode to the Spirit of the Sea’ was actually the language of wise life from one of those worlds.”

Angel had been listening intently, but upon hearing this, he suddenly realized something.

Laplace said this was... a nonexistent language.

Yet she also said it was the language of wise life from one of the worlds.

Angel looked up sharply: ”You mean...”
