Chapter 2936: Chapter 2937: Heaven’s Gifted People

This intriguing news actually has nothing to do with the Western Lands, but is related to the host.

During conversations with Angel, the host occasionally mentions some personal reflections, sometimes commenting on his views of the Western Lands, but ultimately he always adds: the Western Lands might be nice, but it’s just a place of origin; my true abode is here.

Initially, Angel thought the host was immersed in a dream. — Because anyone who has experienced a beautiful dream or a lucid dream has had a fleeting thought that everything in the dream seems better than reality; it would be wonderful to always be immersed in such dreams.

As a Dream Creator, it’s understandable the host finds reality less appealing than the dream world.

But as the host’s self-reflections grew more frequent, Angel sensed something amiss.

If the host mentions ”Immortal Realm is my true abode” once or twice, Angel just listens, but he mentions it so often, each time when compared to the Western Lands, he adds this expression.

When the host once again exclaimed, ”Where in the Western Lands is better than here,” Angel finally couldn’t help but ask, ”Why do you think it’s better here?”

Angel wasn’t particularly concerned with the host, what he cared about was the Western Lands behind the host, but the host’s words were so peculiar that he couldn’t help but speak.

The host said with an air of self-certainty, ”Of course, because I am a Heavenly Gifted One.”

Heavenly Gifted One? Angel was somewhat puzzled but vaguely sensed he might have misjudged; the host’s identity might be more than just a Dream Creator?

With this confusion, Angel further inquired. The host didn’t hold back and eloquently spoke of his identity, appearing very proud.

As the host narrated, Angel gradually understood the host’s mindset, learning the meaning of ”Heavenly Gifted Ones,” and gained further insight into some rules of the Wonderland of Dreams.

Combining Angel’s own understanding of the Wonderland of Dreams, he roughly cleared up the host’s identity and background here—

The host is indeed a Dream Creator, without a doubt.

Generally, in the Dream Realm, a Dream Creator’s dream dissolves like foam and disappears when the Dream Creator awakens.

However, some special dreams have been preserved, and in these special dreams, the core has transformed into Magic Monsters, becoming Eliminators of the Dream Realm.

Now, the Dream Realm’s Eliminators have crashed in the Crystal Origin of Dreams, and Magic Monsters have been manipulated by the Wonderland of Dreams to once again transform into original dreams.

Since the Wonderland of Dreams’ Fairyland Authority can transform objects with memories into special dreamlands, these original dreams can naturally be transformed into special dreamlands by the Wonderland of Dreams.

Some special existences in the original dreams, such as Dream Creators with self-awareness, are reconstructed and infused with knowledge by the Wonderland of Dreams, becoming ”Heavenly Gifted Ones.”

Heavenly Gifted Ones have the right to move through most of the Immortal Realm, and they also receive ”Heavenly Gifts.”

The so-called ”Heavenly Gifts” are knowledge and rewards given by the Wonderland of Dreams.

For instance, the magic track Angel experienced this time is a ”Heavenly Gift.” Otherwise, with the host’s limited imagination, he simply couldn’t construct such a track.

There are many types of such ”Heavenly Gifts,” and by completing the tasks issued by the Wonderland of Dreams, Heavenly Gifted Ones are likely to receive them.

According to the host, they may even gain the ability to walk independently outside the Immortal Realm.

In other words, the ”people” in these special dreamlands may also step out of the dream and come to the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

Basically, this is the information Angel summarized.

It sounds complex, but simply put, Heavenly Gifted Ones are the ”Guides,” ”Inviters,” ”Reward Distributors” arranged by the Wonderland of Dreams’ Authority... collectively, they are NPCs with certain responsibilities and powers.

Thinking about this, Angel felt very intrigued; the host is not only a Dream Creator but also a fixed NPC in these instances, potentially becoming a wandering NPC in other instances.

Angel originally thought asking the host would provide the most significant information related to the Western Lands, but unexpectedly, the concept of an ”NPC” took over.

One must say, this Wonderland of Dreams thoroughly applies his ideas about ”games” to the extreme.

While Angel pondered this, he also remained quietly vigilant, considering it’s imperative to place a protective barrier around the Ability Tree, otherwise, future authorities could be born from his thoughts.

Though thoughts transforming into authority aren’t a bad thing, it aids Angel in controlling the Crystal Origin of Dreams; however, there are too many secrets within Angel’s mind, and he worries these secrets may inadvertently be exposed in a form of authority, which would be undesirable.

Until Angel can partition his Mind Space in the future, ensuring the Ability Tree does not contaminate other thought areas, by then the authority arising from his thoughts as a foundation won’t cause him concern.

...

After hearing Angel’s account, others also focused their attention on ”Heavenly Gifted Ones,” showing little interest in matters of the West Continent Wizard World.

After all, besides Angel, the others present are Mirror Creatures; they are preoccupied with the various Mirror Domains, so how could they care about the Wizard World?

”A Dream Creator transforming into a Heavenly Gifted One, this Wonderland of Dreams’ authority is indeed interesting.” Luigi paused and looked at Angel, ”But why do you refer to them as... NPC, this pronunciation is quite odd.”

Angel: ”Heavenly Gifted Ones is their self-designation, but according to my investigation into the Wonderland of Dreams’ authority, from the perspective of Wonderland of Dreams, these people are actually referred to as NPC.”

Angel spoke downright nonsense with a serious expression: ”Names don’t matter much, as long as you know that NPC refers to Heavenly Gifted Ones. Like when I previously referred to special dreamlands as instances, the meaning is the same; from the perspective of Wonderland of Dreams, a special dreamland is an instance, different instances have their own plot modes...”

Although Luigi still found the pronunciation peculiar, he nodded: ”I understand.”

Just like why Lofte World is named Lofte, or why some insist on calling Aggregation Energy as Coalescence Too, names are names; they aren’t the true names of higher beings, as long as the pointing is correct, calling them does no harm.

As everyone digested these strange names, Luigi focused his gaze on Glaipnir; everyone else’s rewards had already been displayed.

Currently, Glaipnir’s reward remains secretive.

Though they knew Glaipnir chose the Black Cat, does the Black Cat not have Special Abilities? Does it hold significant weight in the scoring, or purely possess a modeling role?

Luigi was just about to inquire, but at that moment, streams of information descended from above, enveloping Luigi.

The others hadn’t noticed anything unusual, but Angel did sense Luigi’s anomaly.

When the information stream disappeared, Angel curiously asked, ”What happened?”

Luigi didn’t reply, instead, he took out a letter from the Fairyland Space and handed it to Angel.

When Angel touched the letter, the Immortal Realm’s hint automatically appeared in his mind.

「Joker’s Recommendation Letter」

「Your performance has captivated everyone present. As the host with the most discerning eye in the Sunshine Circus, cherishing your talent, I decide to write this letter recommending you to my mentor, letting you step onto the most dazzling stage.」

「The Special Dreamland ”Uriel’s Choice” has entered an active period, coordinates will be pointed out in three minutes.」

「Active period for Special Dreamland ”Uriel’s Choice” is 168 hours; if not entered during this active period, it will be considered an automatic renouncement.」

「Coordinate pointing countdown 2:50」

「Coordinate pointing countdown 2:49」

”...”

Luigi didn’t hide the meaning of this letter, not only did he give it to Angel to read, but everyone else also took a turn looking through it.

Glaipnir: ”So, in three minutes, the instance will open, and you have to find and enter it within 168 hours?”

Luigi nodded: ”That seems to be the meaning.”

Glaipnir: ”Will you go?”

Luigi: ”Of course, why not? I have nothing else to do lately, and I’m curious to see what this so-called dazzling stage is.”

At this point, a glint of yearning flashed in Luigi’s eyes.

No matter what, something called ”the most dazzling stage” must be more suitable for performance than the previous ring of fire track. He must experience it, even if it turns out not to be so dazzling, at least it would be an accumulation of performance experience.

The three-minute countdown went by quickly, and soon it was time.

Luigi contemplated for a moment, then opened his eyes and said: ”I see it, to the south.”

At this moment, Angel also shifted from a personal perspective to God’s View, looking southward. About ten miles away, there stood a two-story pavilion he had never seen before on the Crystal Origin.

Without any surprises, this is the place Luigi was about to go.

Angel described the pavilion he observed: ”Are you going there now? Need me to give you a lift?”

Angel’s ”lift” naturally meant going offline and then back online, using the trait of the Gate of Dreams to transfer Luigi’s login point.

However, Luigi shook his head: ”No need, the letter has a guiding cursor; it shouldn’t take long for me to get there by myself.”

With that, Luigi, regardless of what others thought, happily went on his way.

Before Luigi’s figure disappeared, he seemed to remember something and shouted back to Glaipnir: ”Show me your Black Cat when I come out.”

Glaipnir snorted coldly and didn’t speak.

After Luigi left, Glaipnir said softly: ”Speaking of the Black Cat, it seems there is a training degree. Without a certain level, it won’t manifest Immortal Realm hints nor can it be taken into the Immortal Realm... I happen to have nothing to do, so I’ll go play with the remaining Eliminators and take the Black Cat to improve its training degree.”

”As for the Circus’s full territory summons, there is no rush; it’s two days away. Once I go offline, I’ll visit Charles Palace to deal with this matter.”

After finishing her words, Glaipnir didn’t say much more and turned away.

The Rabbit Girl, seeing this, also wanted to follow along. The task of annihilating the Eliminators was originally hers, but various things had delayed her for too long, making her feel embarrassed to remain idle.

However, before the Rabbit Girl could leave, Laplace called out to her: ”Wait, I have something to instruct you.”

The Rabbit Girl looked at Laplace in confusion.

Laplace didn’t immediately explain but looked at Angel: ”What do you plan to do next, continue studying the Sweet Dream?”

Angel shook his head: ”I need to study it, but...not right now.”

He currently only knew that some traits of the Sweet Dream brought into the Crystal Origin of Dreams were intercepted by the Fairyland Authority, now hidden somewhere in the Wonderland, which required him to personally locate. Also, even upon finding it, any research might take a considerable amount of time.

Therefore, he wasn’t in the hurry to study as before.

As long as he knew that Sweet Dream indeed had some traits brought into the Crystal Origin of Dreams, the rest could be studied after leaving the Subterranean Ruins.

Laplace: ”Since you’re not researching now, why not return to the Reflection Space with me?”

After saying this, Laplace also looked at the Rabbit Girl: ”You’re coming with me too.”

Rabbit Girl: ”Huh?”

Although unsure what Laplace intended, the Rabbit Girl dared not refuse, nodding as she logged off first. Laplace and Angel exchanged a glance and logged off after her.

...

Back in the Reflection Space, Angel glanced at the still-sleeping Luigi and Glaipnir before turning his gaze to the awake Rabbit Girl and Laplace, feeling a mix of emotions in his heart.

Angel understood why Luigi went looking for ’Uriel’s Choice.’

But Glaipnir saying she was going to train the cat was something Angel didn’t believe, purely an excuse to avoid them.

As for why Glaipnir wanted to avoid them, it might be because she knew what was coming.

—Angel intended for Laplace to take on the Authority.

Previously, Glaipnir had some disputes with Angel over the Authority issue; if she were to directly participate now, it might cause Angel to resent her. However, she also wanted to know at the first moment what kind of Authority Laplace would acquire, so she chose to remain in the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

It’s evident that handling Charles Palace would be significantly more important than cat training, yet she didn’t log off and instead opted to train the cat, showcasing this point.

Of course, these were merely Glaipnir’s thoughts.

Putting aside other matters, Glaipnir did guess one thing correctly: Angel indeed planned to discuss the Authority matter in detail with Laplace, and if possible, let her take it on as soon as possible.

It would not only appease the Mirror World but also further align with Laplace, accelerating the development of the Crystal Origin of Dreams—a win-win situation.

Laplace likely understood this too.

She probably anticipated discussing the Authority issue with Angel next.

However, Angel didn’t understand why this couldn’t be discussed in the Crystal Origin of Dreams. Why log off to talk about it? And why involve the Rabbit Girl?

As questions arose in Angel’s mind, Laplace finally spoke: ”I plan to visit a place. Do you want to come along?”

Angel was taken aback; weren’t they supposed to discuss the Authority issue offline? How did it turn into a spontaneous trip?

”Where to?”

Laplace glanced at the Rabbit Girl, who seemed confused: ”Lead the way.”

Initially, the Rabbit Girl didn’t understand what she meant; after some eye contact with Laplace, she seemed to realize something and showed a look of urgency.

Seeing the Rabbit Girl’s constantly changing expression, Angel understood they were likely communicating internally.

But where were they going? And why did the Rabbit Girl show such unwilling expressions?
