Chapter 2902: Chapter 2903: Manifestation Effects

Regarding the ”Wonderland of Dreams” authority, the aspect Angel is most concerned about is its operational mechanism: why does it form a special dreamland akin to an ”instance”? How do the ”system prompts” during instance settlement come about, or what algorithm governs them? Are they formed based on Angel’s cognition, or are they transformed from existing authorities within the Ability Tree?

However, these questions belong to core points within the ”Wonderland of Dreams,” and understanding them in a short time is not so easy.

Moreover, even if Angel has time to ponder them slowly, he may not have the corresponding reserve knowledge to comprehend them.

Just like the two authorities concerning the energy system, ”Energy Selection” and ”Energy Level Limitation,” even though Sanders has played with these authorities extensively, the virtual magic power’s limit continuously rises in the Wilderness of Dreams, yet Angel is still an outsider to them.

It’s not that he hasn’t considered delving deeper, and he’s spent a considerable amount of time on them, but the relevant information he gained from the Ability Tree is all incomprehensible to him.

On the contrary, Angel can understand parts of the specialized research Sanders wrote... As for the other parts, with Sanders’ explanation, Angel can also comprehend them.

Thus, having the Ability Tree does not inherently mean Angel can understand all authorities; it still depends on affinity and knowledge foundation.

However, it is possible not to understand the core operational mechanism. As for the operational manifestation, namely the external manifestation effects, Angel can comprehend that.

This time, the information Angel received is mainly related to these external manifestation effects.

After quietly reading for a moment, Angel roughly understood the manifestation effects and basic principles of the ”Wonderland of Dreams,” and most of the questions in his mind were answered.

”How did the special dreamland come about?”

Actually, the name itself hints at the basic construction of special dreamland: memory and dream.

The Eliminators of the Dream Realm are, to put it bluntly, transformed dream creatures from different races. Their existence originates from a dream. So, after they die, their ”dream” is captured by the authority of ”Wonderland of Dreams,” creating the special dreamland.

The previous Tooth Bone Staff, unrelated to dreams, was transformed after the strongest combat elder from the Tooth Fairy Elders Council died. It contains part of the combat elder’s memory inside. This memory might only be a fragment, but as long as the authority of ”Wonderland of Dreams” captures it, even fragment memory can construct a corresponding special dreamland.

As for the Love Heart Pillow he saw before, originating from a Sweet Dream, Angel guesses it was also constructed based on a ”dream”. But he doesn’t know the specific dream yet.

”Are there other conditions for constructing special dreamlands?”

Of course, if it’s just memory and dream, it’s too broad. Like many indigenous people in the Wilderness of Dreams, essentially they are memory entities; if this is the only condition, all these indigenous people would be captured by ”Wonderland of Dreams” and transformed into special dreamlands.

The second condition for constructing a special dreamland is: having a transcendent object as a carrier.

After Eliminators die, their corpses are the best carriers.

The Tooth Bone Staff itself is a powerful transcendent weapon; there’s no disagreement about it being a carrier.

What’s still strange is that Sweet Dream, without form, even within the Crystal Origin of Dreams, logically speaking should also have no form—why can it be made into a special dreamland? Angel hasn’t found an answer to this yet and can only let it rest for now.

”What are Crystal Creations?”

Crystal Creations are carriers of special dreamlands. They contain authority operation rules, and these rules... as of now, Angel cannot comprehend them.

”What determines the shape of the Crystal Creations?”

The shape is determined by the core of the special dreamland.

It can be understood as: the core item of a story, the most frequently appearing prop in a play, the key clue in a novel.

Like, if the fairy tale ”The Little Match Girl” were made into a special dreamland, the shape of its Crystal Creation would very likely be: matchsticks.

Or, if ”Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” were made into a special dreamland, the shape of its Crystal Creation would probably be: an apple or a magic mirror.

Specifically, which one depends on the perspective of the story. Told from the Queen’s perspective, it’s the magic mirror; told from Snow White’s perspective, it might be an apple.

These two items are key clues to the story’s progress.

Thus, a simple inference can be made—

The shape of Crystal Creations might be the core clue of special dreamlands. To achieve 100% exploration of a special dreamland, one must not only progress within the story; exploration may need to start the moment Crystal Creations are seen.

”Why do Crystal Creations conceal themselves, and where do they hide after concealment?”

Regarding this question, Angel obtained quite a bit of information, but much of it comprises formulas Angel cannot understand, and these formulas reveal the answer to the problem. However, Angel neither has the time nor the knowledge foundation to decode the formulas, so he doesn’t really understand the situation.

Still, setting aside the complex formulas related to operation mechanisms, Angel did get an answer: Crystal Creations are one of the constitutive elements of ”Immortal Realm,” and generally do not leave ”Immortal Realm” unless you have a ”fate” with them.

Yet how this ”fate” becomes a ”fate” also belongs to operational mechanism issues that Angel still doesn’t have answers to.

As for where they hide?—previously mentioned, that place is called the ”Immortal Realm.”

Because Angel named this authority ”Wonderland of Dreams,” the hidden place for Crystal Creations is called ”Immortal Realm”; if Angel called this authority ”Wonderland of Magic,” the hidden place could also be called ”Magic Realm.”

The name of this place is not important; what matters is where it is.

Based on the information Angel received, the ”Immortal Realm” is located at Beautiful Dream Mountain.

Beautiful Dream Mountain is the only Crystal Mountain not concealed in form, and by following the only mountain path of Crystal Mountain upwards, one eventually reaches the ”Immortal Realm.”

Nonetheless, ascending Beautiful Dream Mountain is not so easy. Beautiful Dream Mountain comprises tens of thousands of special dreamlands. Climbing to the Immortal Realm means traversing these countless special dreamlands.

And these dreamlands will undergo drastic changes due to the level of exploration, causing the passageways of the mountain path to also change, making reaching the summit not easy. Angel thinks it seems difficult; even if Rhein challenges it, he probably won’t reach the end. With myriad dreamlands, even if just one dreamland undergoes changes, the entire Beautiful Dream Mountain can change swiftly and massively. Conquering thousands of dreamlands at once is very, very tough.

This made Angel think of the ”Reincarnation Casket of the Undead,” where one must conquer small spaces one by one to come out of the Reincarnation Casket.

The special dreamlands of Beautiful Dream Mountain are certainly not as difficult as the individual small spaces within the Reincarnation Casket, but they are numerous and change significantly; a slight error can cause tectonic shifts across all the dreamlands of Beautiful Dream Mountain.

Still, all the above only apply to outsiders.

If Angel wants to go to the ”Immortal Realm,” he has a way, because he controls the Ability Tree, which indirectly means controlling the ”Wonderland of Dreams.”

Yet, while reaching the Immortal Realm is easy, Angel still has to explore personally if he wants a special dreamland to reach 100% exploration...

Because every special dreamland’s operation rules vary. ”Wonderland of Dreams” is merely the pusher behind these special dreamlands, whereas the operational rules are still based on dreams and memories. And dreams and memories do not originate from the authority of Wonderland of Dreams, so Angel has no means to alter them.

Thinking of this, Angel couldn’t help but sigh. This means that no matter what, he has to explore that crystal creation styled after the Love Heart Pillow. He couldn’t cheat using out-of-discussion methods.

”If an external transcendent object aligns with the ’Wonderland of Dreams’ authority, will it be taken away? Is there a way to interrupt this?”

This question is rather critical and is the main reason Angel is proactively enduring the information flood this time.

And the answer is: there is a way.

For others, there’s certainly no way. But Angel can indirectly operate the ’Wonderland of Dreams’ authority, so interruption is possible.

In other words, future external transcendent objects entering the Crystal Origin of Dreams, as long as they are under Angel’s protection, won’t be taken by the ’Wonderland of Dreams’, even if they contain memories and dreams.

Including this Tooth Bone Staff, Angel has already ruled out the ’Wonderland of Dreams’ interception, and once Glaipnir enters the Crystal Origin of Dreams, it can be used directly.

This is undoubtedly good news.

However... there is one situation excluded from this.

That is to say, Angel parsed out a ”proviso” from the related information flood!

——Some special memories or special dreams, if they activate the identification mechanism of the ’Wonderland of Dreams’, cannot be interrupted.

The ”cannot be interrupted” here is not due to ’Wonderland of Dreams’ rebellion, but because ”special memories or special dreams” activated the underlying operational rules of Wonderland of Dreams.

And this layer of operational rules, Angel doesn’t understand and naturally can’t interrupt.

Seeing this, Angel finally understood why the Dream Conch caused a tremor in the Ability Tree when it pulled certain elements from the Sweet Dream into the Crystal Origin of Dreams; it was a sign of the full operation of Wonderland of Dreams authority!

The quick seizure of the Love Heart Pillow and its rapid crystallization fall into the category of ”special memories or special dreams”.

The foundation rules of the Wonderland of Dreams were triggered, so Angel had no time nor ability to intercept them.

...

After browsing through this information, Angel had a general understanding of the external effects of the ’Wonderland of Dreams’.

What he didn’t expect was that the Love Heart Pillow intelligence he was most concerned about fell into an exception category, with currently scarce information.

To understand the internal situation, he still needs to explore the special dream within the Love Heart Pillow personally.

However, putting aside the Love Heart Pillow, other situations have been resolved.

Angel settled his thoughts a bit, then looked up towards the distant Laplace: ”Basically fine now. Are you ready to enter the Crystal Origin of Dreams?”

Laplace: ”Basically fine? Meaning there was a problem just now?”

Angel didn’t hide it and nodded: ”The Tooth Bone Staff was almost intercepted by the Wonderland of Dreams when entering the Crystal Origin of Dreams just now. But, through interference with other authority, there’s no need to worry now... such interceptions won’t occur anymore.”

Laplace didn’t ask how Angel intervened, instead glancing at the nearby Sweet Dream: ”What about it? Have you solved its situation?”

Angel shook his head with a bitter smile: ”No. It’s already been intercepted. I currently can’t find a way to make the Wonderland of Dreams spit it out. To understand the specific situation, I also need to explore inside the Love Heart Pillow.”

”However, this issue is not urgent now; let’s solve your problem first.”

Angel said this, then looked at Laplace: ”The Hunt Time should not be far off, right?”

Laplace: ”If the internal and external time are synchronized, then this so-called Hunt Time is in 30 minutes, 15 seconds, 14 seconds, 13 seconds...”

”No need to keep counting, I understand.” Angel quickly interrupted as he saw Laplace continuing the countdown, ”The Hunt Time is near now. We should prepare to enter. Also, give others some time to adapt.”

”As a genius, I never need adaptation time wherever I go.” Luigi’s melodious voice sounded at the right time.

Angel didn’t turn around: ”I wasn’t talking about you; I was talking about letting Glaipnir adjust to the Tooth Bone Staff and the Silver Scale Robe, to avoid any issues when it matters.”

Glaipnir nodded silently and then said, ”Thank you, while I’ve seen others use the Tooth Bone Staff before, I haven’t used it myself. I indeed need to adapt, especially seeing the strength when used to the fullest.”

”However, I need to slightly remind you, this is not a Silver Scale Robe; it’s called the Second Shedding Astrological Disk.”

Angel: ”... I understand.”

This name is quite straightforward. Second Shedding Astrological Disk, meaning a disk made from the second shedding of scales.

Angel couldn’t help but criticize silently; with such naming ability, how dare they question his naming of the ’Crystal Origin of Dreams’?

However, Angel only dared to think this in his heart and didn’t show it on his face. He still smiled and said, ”Shall I send you on your way now?”

Luigi: ”Your words sound so harsh, you should say ’send us to another world’.”

Angel: ”Isn’t that still harsh?”

Luigi plucked a string, and though it was the sound of a harp, it resembled the clash of war drums.

”No, still harsh. But if you say it like that, I can have Laplace send you on your way.”

When Luigi said this, he glanced at the Rabbit Girl behind him. Clearly, the Laplace he referred to was the Rabbit Girl, not the avatar.

Angel: ”...”

After this small interlude, Angel sent each of them into the Crystal Origin of Dreams, along with the tools Laplace requested and some potions and Magic Rune Scrolls Angel prepared himself into the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

The landing points of the people and tools were all set by Angel in a safe zone.

After all, the so-called ”Hunt Time” is the Glutton coming for Laplace, not Laplace seeking out the Glutton, so placing them anywhere is fine.

After settling everyone, Angel also prepared to enter the Crystal Origin of Dreams himself.

Just as he was about to step onto the Dream Bridge, a gentle force suddenly squeezed his shoulder.
