Chapter 2910: Chapter 2911: Resurrection

After killing the ”Jealous Poisonous Woman,” all the story backgrounds of Helen’s Dream were revealed.

However, these are not the main focus for now; the key issue remains the current exploration degree.

Laplace turned her gaze towards the two remaining human head roses at the scene.

These two human head roses had their eyes closed from the beginning, showing no inclination to attack, as if they were asleep, with an air of tranquility about them.

Laplace stood before these two human head roses, motionless for a long time.

”Should we kill them?” Angel asked.

Should we kill them? The implication was that these were different from the previous human head roses; they might have reasons not to die.

Why would Angel say this? The reason was simple, because Angel recognized their faces.

In the previously flipped book with illustrations in the study, these two individuals were clearly depicted. They were the former masters of the Fan Family... the true noble couple murdered by the conspiratorial chef and head maid.

In other words, they were Helen’s biological parents.

Angel didn’t know why Helen’s biological parents also appeared inside Bella, but anyway, from the information they had gathered, this noble couple seemed less abhorrent than the others.

Since there wasn’t deeper information about them, it couldn’t be said they were not bad; just that compared to the other usurpers, jealous black-hearted, greedy and arrogant individuals, they appeared much more amiable.

Moreover, their human head roses didn’t launch an attack on Laplace, showing less malice.

That’s why Angel asked this question: Should we kill them?

Standing before these two human head roses for a long time, Laplace was also pondering this question.

It wasn’t moral hesitation, but rather considering whether killing them would affect the exploration degree.

Unable to make a decision, Laplace turned her gaze to Glaipnir.

Glaipnir didn’t answer immediately, but closed her eyes and fell silent. Her sagging, aged face trembled continuously, while her silvery-scaled robe shimmered with a faint starlight. The starlight emanated from countless scales, converging and finally rushing into Glaipnir’s brow, as if the starlight was giving her a new revelation.

Seconds later, the abnormal phenomenon surrounding Glaipnir returned to calm, and she slowly opened her eyes.

”They are already dead themselves, so their final outcome will definitely still be death. However, whether we need to do it is still debatable.” Glaipnir’s words were heard by everyone.

After listening, Angel was still puzzled: What does that mean? They are already dead, so they will surely die?

What on earth is she saying?

Moreover, discussing whose hands they die at... they are already dead, what is there to discuss?

Why can’t you just answer whether to act or not?

Angel sighed silently in his heart. As expected, Dororo is the best, giving whatever is obtained, interpreting it if understandable, otherwise just showing an image for others to understand.

While Angel was lamenting, Laplace gently nodded: ”I understand.”

Angel was stunned for half a second, and asked subconsciously: ”What do you understand?”

Laplace: ”For now, leave them alone; just set them aside. Whether to kill them depends on their choices. Whether I do it or not depends on my future discoveries.”

Angel: ”... You mean if they attack you, you’ll kill them? If they choose to be a vase, you’ll pretend not to see them?”

Laplace nodded: ”That’s roughly the meaning.”

Angel: ”And what do you mean by your future discoveries?”

Laplace didn’t speak but gestured with the scales in her hand and then put her gaze on Bella beside.

At this time, Bella had been dissected through three layers of peritoneum, and her form had changed from a giant meat demon king to an ordinary meat mound. Now, looking at Laplace’s gesture, could it mean she planned to dissect the fourth layer of Bella’s abdomen?

Angel’s guess was correct, as after tossing aside the two human head roses, Laplace prepared to pick up the scales and continue dissecting Bella’s belly.

Seeing this scene, Angel finally couldn’t help but ask: ”I’ve always been curious, why do you need to dissect Bella’s belly?”

Facing Angel’s inquiry, Laplace paused for a moment, then spoke: ”Because the answer lies in her belly.”

Angel was still puzzled: ”The answer is in her belly? How... how do you know that?”

Laplace said lightly: ”Do you still remember the name of this Special Dreamland?”

With this question, Laplace slowly revealed her thoughts...

In terms of the name of this Special Dreamland, whether ”Greed Feast” or ”Glutton’s Banquet,” the main theme is greed.

The meaning of glutton is self-evident—a creature of greedy appetite.

And it has been proven that the glutton is Bella.

Since Bella has been dominated by her appetite, then why are there no other creatures in this Special Dreamland? The answer naturally emerged: they were all eaten by Bella.

This speculation is not baseless.

”The reason I entered this Special Dreamland was precisely because I was on her prey list.”

It was a prey list, not a kill list. Although Bella was indeed hunting Laplace, her goal was not simply to kill, but to ”hunt and devour.”

This meant that being on the prey list was equivalent to being written into Bella’s menu.

This indirectly proved that Bella’s food was not just ordinary food, but included intelligent life as well.

After reaching this conclusion, recalling Glaipnir’s words: Helen’s Dream, Bira’s Beautiful Dream, and Glutton’s Banquet actually all occurred in the same space.

And it was known that Laplace killed Helen in Helen’s Dream, but Helen’s corpse was not in the house, the only possibility was it was inside Bella’s belly.

So Laplace dissected Bella’s belly to search for Helen.

No one expected, though Helen was yet to be found, there was the unexpected discovery of human head roses.

Hearing this, Angel somewhat understood Laplace’s action of dissecting Bella’s belly, but he still didn’t get it, is it really possible to find the answer this way?

”Does finding Helen’s body really mean reaching 100% exploration?”

Laplace said calmly: ”Is Helen really dead?”

Angel: ”... Ah?”

Laplace: ”What if... Helen is still alive?”

Angel was somewhat stunned, clearly witnessing Laplace kill the masked person, who was Helen, yet why was Laplace now saying, ”What if Helen is still alive?”

As Angel felt more and more unable to understand Laplace, she continued: ”If I killed him, does it mean he will surely die? Previously in Helen’s Dream, I also killed Bella, and after killing Bella, my exploration degree directly reached 99%, which indicates Bella was indeed killed by me.”

”But you’ve seen with your own eyes the process of Bella’s resurrection. Since Bella can resurrect, why can’t Helen resurrect?”

At this time, Glaipnir also interjected: ”Resurrection may be difficult to achieve in reality, but don’t forget, this is a dreamland, not reality.”

Laplace also nodded and said, ”Moreover, Bella and Helen were killed in ’Helen’s Dream,’ but not in ’Bella’s Beautiful Dream.’

”So, it’s highly possible that Helen also resurrected with Bella, but he didn’t resurrect in ’Helen’s Dream,’ but rather in this new Special Dreamland, ’Bella’s Beautiful Dream.’

”Bella’s Beautiful Dream is naturally Bella’s domain. Even though Helen resurrected, he had no home court advantage and was devoured by Bella immediately.”

”But is Helen really dead?” Laplace asked herself rhetorically, ”Not necessarily.”

The reason Laplace thought Helen was not dead was due to a prophecy by Glaipnir.

—To achieve a hundred percent exploration degree, both life and death are necessary.

This prophecy was also the source of Glaipnir’s past confusion.

Laplace had previously not understood the meaning of this prophecy, but at this moment, she had a guess.

The ’need for life and death’ here certainly doesn’t mean for her and Glaipnir to experience life and death. Since it’s not them, who could it refer to?

Bella? Not entirely.

Because Bella alone cannot achieve the conditions of keeping one alive and causing them to die.

Life and death are two completely separate states that cannot coexist.

Since they cannot coexist, there’s only one possibility left, which is that there must be someone else alive in this Special Dreamland, aside from Bella.

In other places, Laplace and Glaipnir had used ”horizontal pushing” to thoroughly investigate, confirming no other living souls.

So, combining previous deductions, the only possibility is that the devoured Helen by Bella is indeed not dead, he’s still alive!

Therefore, life and death, this prophecy does not refer to one person but to both Helen and Bella!

...

Laplace hesitated no longer, waved the scale, proceeding with the fourth layer dissection of Bella’s peritoneum.

As this layer of peritoneum was cut open, a vine-wrapped cocoon fell out of Bella’s stomach.

Meanwhile, Bella’s body shrank down from a mountain of flesh back to normal size once again.

Nobody cared about Bella’s body transformation; all attention focused on that vine cocoon.

This was a human-form vine cocoon, and most importantly, it was continuously struggling as if someone was trapped inside trying to break free.

Laplace cautiously used the scale to slice a small opening in the vine cocoon.

Perhaps internal inflation caused a huge internal-external pressure difference, or maybe the person inside struggled fiercely, even though Laplace only made a less than five centimeters cut, it soon burst open to several tens of centimeters.

Then, a large amount of stinking acidic liquid gushed out from inside the cocoon.

As the acid liquid washed through, the opening grew larger, until finally, a person fully corroded came out with the acid.

This person, exposed fully with blood and flesh from corrosion, even washed out externally, continued struggling desperately, seemingly oblivious to the changing surrounding environment.

Angel noticed that his face still had a slightly corroded mask.

This mask was identical to the masker seen previously in Helen’s Dream!

So, this is the masker? He is truly Helen?!

Angel, lost in thought, saw Laplace picking up the scale, aiming at the masker on the ground with chilling killing intent.

The masker, intimidated by this killing intent, originally struggling, had confusing eyes, but now slowly regained consciousness.

”Is he really Helen?” Angel asked softly.

He wasn’t dumb; Laplace aimed the scale at the masker, not to truly kill him but to hear an ”execution” prompt.

Laplace paused for a moment, nodded: ”Yes.”

As she spoke, Laplace withdrew the scale, approached the masker, and reached out, covering his mask.

Under the masker’s astonished gaze, Laplace fiercely tore off his mask.

With the mask removed, something strange happened.

The masker’s body, just like Bella previously, began shrinking rapidly.

In no time, the masker, from a corroded muscular man, shrank into a frail, chick-like little boy.

The little boy shed the outer layer of corroded skin, as though the corroded skin was merely clothing, revealing his original skin underneath.

Though the corroded skin was hideously ugly and terrifying, the little boy’s true skin wasn’t pleasing either.

Covered entirely with whip scars, blue-purple bruises, and numerous varying aged blood holes.

These marks were evidently not caused within the dream... they might represent the real-life condition of the little boy.

Because the little boy was treated unfairly in real life, weakly small, he fantasized about being a strong muscular man.

The real him, timid and humble as he was.

He saw Laplace, saw Glaipnir afar, saw the floating human head balloon, shaken to a cold tremor.

This was his true nature.

Not the strong masker in ’Helen’s Dream,’ but the embittered yet powerless to resist timid boy in ’Bella’s Beautiful Dream’ and reality: Villaf Van Helen.

Young Helen stared blankly around, only feeling everything around terrifying.

Including Laplace.

Young Helen seemed to recognize Laplace, maybe the memories of being killed in Helen’s Dream still lingered in his mind.

However, when young Helen turned his head and saw two blooming human-headed roses not far away, he froze entirely.

”Ah... ah...”

Young Helen seemed saying something, but unfortunately, once spoken became indistinct mumblings.

For the reason, when he opened his mouth, everyone understood... he had no teeth, his tongue blistered with burns.

Young Helen couldn’t have done such harm to himself; clearly, this was by Bella or her family.

Though he couldn’t articulate a full sentence, everyone could guess what young Helen meant.

He was calling out to his parents, filled with deep emotion.

While calling, young Helen’s eyes filled with tears, though he did not cry, with moist eyes, crawled step by step beside the human head roses, incessantly calling with baby-like murmurs.

Incoherently calling, the previously closed eyes of the two human heads finally opened...
