Chapter 2913: Chapter 2914: Sunshine Circus

After Angel went offline, he immediately looked around.

After a while, he finally saw the rabbit girl crouching silently in the shadow beneath a huge branch.

The rabbit girl looked a bit lost, her eyes lacking any sparkle, as if all her thoughts were hidden in her little world.

It was not until Glaipnir, leaning on a crutch, walked in front of the rabbit girl that she raised her head blankly.

Against the backlight, her eyes focused slowly, and only after finally succeeding did she see Glaipnir’s figure, which brought her back to her senses in shock.

Two minutes later, under Glaipnir’s guidance, the rabbit girl finally left the shadowed corner and came to Angel and Laplace’s side.

Perhaps because Angel was nearby, the rabbit girl still appeared very timid, looking shy and afraid of strangers.

This made it hard for Angel to associate her with the loli War God he had seen at the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

Perhaps, this is what they call contrast?

Angel shook his head, dismissing irrelevant thoughts, just as Laplace’s gaze fell upon him, as if she had something to say.

She hesitated for a moment, exchanged a glance with Glaipnir, and then said to Angel, ”I’ve already communicated with Laplace, and she encountered some... unexpected situation over there.”

While saying this, atypically, Laplace’s usually calm expression showed some subtle emotions.

They had actually been offline for less than three minutes, and Laplace hadn’t even moved, yet she said she had already communicated. An outsider might have questions, but Angel didn’t find it surprising.

During the time at the Crystal Origin of Dreams, they were separate entities, making mental communication difficult. But returning to the Mirror World, they all belonged to Laplace’s temporal body, and since everyone was nearby, mental communication was as easy as drinking water.

The speed of mental communication is much faster than speaking directly.

Clearly, they had already exchanged thoughts mentally.

The rabbit girl must have shared her experiences... Judging by Laplace’s subtle expression, the rabbit girl’s experience seemed somewhat unusual?

Could it be that she really encountered a magic monster that endangered her life? Or did she make a mistake during battle?

”What unexpected situation?” Angel didn’t continue to speculate but asked directly.

Laplace, with a hint of apology, said, ”She accidentally fell into... a special dreamland.”

”Huh?” Angel was momentarily stunned, instinctively casting a glance at the rabbit girl hiding beside Glaipnir: ”She fell into a special dreamland? How is that possible?”

Angel was stunned because he had seen the rabbit girl treating the crystal creations around her as if they were nothing.

She was almost wholeheartedly focused on killing monsters, so how could she fall into a special dreamland?

No, it’s not entirely impossible.

Perhaps she killed a magic monster, and a crystal creation just happened to appear around her, and she was inadvertently drawn into the special dreamland?

Angel shared his guess, and after hearing it, Laplace shook her head.

”No, she approached the crystal creation voluntarily. Because that crystal creation had a very special design...”

Even Laplace found this matter somewhat ridiculous, but it was the truth. The rabbit girl, who had no interest in any other crystal creations, ended up making a huge mistake because of a rabbit ear headband.

Laplace recounted the situation at that time in detail, and at the end, she sighed softly, ”This incident was my fault.”

Under Angel’s puzzled gaze, Laplace didn’t continue to speak but directly transmitted a message to Angel: ”This event is indeed my fault. She integrated into my childhood memories. I once experienced a disaster as a child. When I injected my memories into her, I erased that segment and replaced it with an experience of transforming into a rabbit. Thus, she has always held a great fondness for little animals like rabbits. That’s precisely why, when she saw a rabbit headband, she instinctively let her guard down... All of this was caused by the replacement of the memories, which is my fault.”

Laplace, through mental transmission, told Angel why the rabbit girl couldn’t resist the temptation of the rabbit headband.

But more than that, Angel was more intrigued by the secrets Laplace mentioned.

What kind of disaster did Laplace experience to make her replace her memories even when injecting them into her temporal body?

Though very curious, Angel knew it was definitely Laplace’s private matter. If she wanted to hide it from her temporal body, even less would she share it with an outsider like him.

So, Angel didn’t pursue it further and nodded, ”I understand. This matter isn’t that big of a deal.”

Laplace: ”I promised you earlier that she would eliminate all the remnants of the Eliminators when she went in, but this unexpected situation occurred, which is my fault. I will take responsibility for killing the remaining Eliminator remnants.”

Angel waved his hand: ”It’s not a problem. Those magic monsters can’t cause much trouble now; dealing with them sooner or later makes no difference. More than that, I’m actually very curious about what kind of special dreamland she encountered... With her combat power, why choose to go offline?”

Angel had seen the rabbit girl’s explosive combat power with his own eyes; with such strength, she could sweep through a special dreamland.

Just like the ”Glutton’s Banquet” Laplace entered this time, there was no need to think much; she could just bulldoze through it.

The rabbit girl definitely had the ability to bulldoze through; if she could, why wouldn’t she do it and instead go offline?

Laplace: ”The special dreamland she experienced was completely different from the one I encountered before. All her abilities, including the Bloodline Power, couldn’t be used in that dreamland...”

Laplace explained in a few words the special dreamland that the rabbit girl encountered and her current situation.

Simply put, the rabbit girl entered a special dreamland called the ”Sunshine Circus.”

After the rabbit girl entered this special dreamland, she was directly covered in a rabbit doll costume, which was very cumbersome and thick, making movement very inconvenient. The most important thing was that this costume couldn’t be removed, and no abilities could be used inside it.

No matter how strong the martial power, without the Bloodline Power and a nimble body, it was all in vain.

In other words, the rabbit girl was reverted to her original form in the ”Sunshine Circus.”

The only consolation was that the ”Sunshine Circus” special dreamland didn’t require combat. Or rather, there might be combat, but the rabbit girl hadn’t encountered it yet.

The ”Sunshine Circus” didn’t require solving puzzles; it directly presented a goal at the start—

Rush to the finish line!

Yes, it’s just rushing to the finish line.

It sounds a bit like a race, and in reality... it indeed is no different from a race. However, the track is an obstacle course.

According to the rabbit girl, there are five tracks in total, and clearing all five tracks is considered passing through this special dreamland.

The difficulty of the tracks wasn’t clear to the rabbit girl either because she hadn’t even cleared the first track herself.

The rabbit girl was thrown into the first track called the Knife Mountain Track.

The entire track was a super long aerial ropeway, and the ground below was filled with knife mountains. If you fell from the ropeway, you would be directly pierced by knives.

It looked dangerous, but given the rabbit girl’s balance, it was difficult for her to fall.

The only challenging aspect of this track was the time limit.

The time limit for the Knife Mountain track is thirty seconds, and the approximate length of the cableway, according to the Rabbit Girl’s estimation, is about a thousand meters.

The Rabbit Girl could not use her Bloodline Power and was wearing a cumbersome doll costume. Given the physical fitness of the Crystal Origin of her Dream body, completing a thousand meters in thirty seconds was quite a challenge.

With just one opportunity, the Rabbit Girl failed.

At the moment the time expired, the Rabbit Girl felt a change in her surroundings. She was suddenly inside a circus cage, transformed into a little rabbit that the spectators were booing.

Soon after, the Rabbit Girl received information about this Special Dreamland.

”Challenger codename determined: Black Rabbit.”

”Challenger Black Rabbit has launched a solo challenge in the Special Dreamland ’Sunshine Circus.’”

”Challenger Black Rabbit failed the challenge, current progress is ’Knife Mountain Track.’”

”Tracks completed by Challenger Black Rabbit: 0/5, exploration degree: 0%.”

”Since Challenger Black Rabbit did not meet the settlement conditions, ’Sunshine Circus’ will continue to operate.”

”Due to Challenging Black Rabbit’s failure, a forced confinement state is imposed.”

”While in a confinement state, the Challenger cannot leave the Sunshine Circus.”

This was all the information the Rabbit Girl received.

Thanks to the enhancement provided by this information, the Rabbit Girl realized there were five tracks, and she had to complete all five to clear the challenge. But now she hadn’t even completed one.

Since the Rabbit Girl failed and was unable to move, she had no choice but to go offline.

”Can the punishment for failing a challenge be lifted?” Angel asked after hearing the information provided by Laplace.

If it cannot be lifted, wouldn’t the Rabbit Girl always be in confinement?

Laplace was silent for a moment, then nodded: ”It can be lifted, but currently there are only two ways to do so.”

The first method is for the Rabbit Girl to initiate the challenge again. Once she succeeds, she will gain freedom; but only once per day, and she has already challenged today, so she cannot challenge again today.

The second method is for someone else to touch the rabbit ear headband, enter the Rabbit Girl’s track progress, and restart the challenge. If the challenge is successful, both the Rabbit Girl and the new challenger can leave.

This was the method the Rabbit Girl received to lift the confinement. Currently, it seems only the second method can quickly rescue the Rabbit Girl.

As for letting the Rabbit Girl challenge once a day by herself, who knows how long it will take for her to get out.

But even the second method is uncertain—who can successfully rescue the Rabbit Girl is hard to say.

”Didn’t expect the Special Dreamland could restrict abilities...” Glaipnir sighed lightly, ”Indeed, we still underestimated the Authority of Wonderland of Dreams.”

When Glaipnir previously completed the ’Glutton’s Banquet,’ he felt this Special Dreamland was not much, but now it seems they underestimated Wonderland of Dreams.

Special Dreamlands that allow using external items might be easily conquered. But for dreamlands where external items can’t be used, solely relying on the physical fitness within the Crystal Origin of Dreams to clear them isn’t easy.

”What should we do now?” Angel asked Laplace, ”If it really doesn’t work, why don’t I...”

Before Angel finished speaking, Laplace interrupted: ”No need, I’ll go.”

Angel opened his mouth to say something, but ultimately did not... Clearly, Laplace misunderstood, thinking he was going to rescue the Rabbit Girl, but Angel had no intention of taking the lead. He was considering trying to interfere with the Wonderland of Dreams using the Ability Tree to see if he could release the Rabbit Girl.

Since this misunderstanding was ”beautiful” enough, Angel decided not to express his incomplete thought.

After Laplace made her decision, she instructed the Rabbit Girl to go online first, and soon she would attempt the ’Sunshine Circus’ challenge.

Before that, Laplace still planned to claim the reward given for completing the ’Glutton’s Banquet’ first.

Soon, everyone went back online.

This time, they appeared near the Beautiful Dream Mountain, and Luigi was lingering nearby.

Luigi was startled when everyone appeared at his side.

”A beautiful dream is soothing my heart, who knew...” After being startled, Luigi immediately started a lyrical recital.

However, Laplace didn’t give him time to recite and interrupted without hesitation: ”Less nonsense, let’s talk business.”

Laplace didn’t hesitate and directly explained her situation.

After speaking, Laplace stared at Luigi, waiting for him to use intuition to give an answer.

However, while Luigi’s intuition worked, it didn’t apply to reward choices but focused on something off about everyone’s emotions.

”Did something happen? Why does it feel like your emotions are off?”

Laplace initially hesitated to say more, but after thinking, she decided to tell Luigi about the Rabbit Girl’s situation.

Luigi listened and fell into silence for a while.

No one spoke, silently waiting for Luigi.

Angel didn’t know what others were thinking at this moment, but he himself had quite a few reflections.

He reflected on two things: first, the strength of the Authority of Wonderland of Dreams.

He chose to reflect at this time because when he entered the Crystal Origin of Dreams, he tried to use the Gate of Dreams to locate the Rabbit Girl, wanting to forcibly transfer her out of the Special Dreamland.

But the final result was in vain.

The weight of Wonderland of Dreams clearly surpassed the Gate of Dreams, making the two incompatible.

Even mobilizing the Gate of Dreams failed to transfer the Rabbit Girl from the Special Dreamland.

This showed the strength of Wonderland of Dreams’ Authority.

The second reflection was on Luigi.

At first, he believed Luigi couldn’t resist temptation and thought he would soon ascend the Beautiful Dream Mountain; whereas he had no concern about the Rabbit Girl.

He even shared his judgment with Laplace.

Yet it backfired.

Despite Luigi’s desire to climb the mountain, he ultimately restrained himself; it was the Rabbit Girl, thought to steadfastly expel demons, who unexpectedly took the bait and entered the Special Dreamland.

Truly, you can’t take things at face value...
