Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1200: Chapter 1198: Enemies at the Gates

In Poisonous Peach Mountain, Gu Xi was already sitting inside the Assembly Hall.

Compared to the completely toxic environment outside, the inside of the Assembly Hall was much better.

Although there was poison here, it was not like before where poisonous fog, gas, and smoke were everywhere.

The situation inside the Assembly Hall was quite similar to that of the outside world.

There was only one table, with a map of Poisonous Peach Mountain on it.

However, Gu Xi noticed that the map in front of him was clearly black in the background, with buildings composed of yellow-green aura.

It was clearly catered to the style of Poisonous Peach Mountain.

At the same time, Gu Xi noted that aside from Poisonous Peach Mountain itself, it also covered all the terrain within about fifty miles outside the mountain.

Gu Xi was somewhat surprised by this situation.

”Is Poisonous Peach Mountain planning to expand outwards by fifty miles next?”

Gu Xi thought for a moment, realizing the situation of Poisonous Peach Mountain was different from that of Kai Yalidu City and even the other cities under his command.

At least in his eyes, he couldn’t see many usable plots.

If Poisonous Peach Mountain wanted to expand, Gu Xi would not be surprised at all.

But Silia shook her head.

”No, Poisonous Peach Mountain is a war main city, it exists for war; war certainly cannot focus only on its own city range.

The distance within fifty miles from the city is already the shortest.

Our current control is not far enough; eventually, this range will expand to five hundred miles.”

Through these words, Silia’s attitude was evident.

He always remembered the Elf Gathering Point buried under volcanic ash by the Giant Dragon.

Perhaps it was because they didn’t control the situation around the city well that the Giant Dragon managed to ambush them successfully.

”What’s this?”

Just after these words, Gu Xi pointed at a blue arrow on the map and asked.

Silia immediately jumped up.

”Attack, we’re under attack!”

After Silia spoke, his body transformed into countless leaves and vanished before Gu Xi.

At that moment, Gu Xi felt somewhat helpless.

Poisonous Peach Mountain had just been built, and there were no troops here.

Faced with such a situation, Gu Xi could not ignore it.

Moreover, appearing at such a time, actively attacking Poisonous Peach Mountain, they must be the enemies Kro had encountered earlier.

This matter must be resolved; otherwise, even if Poisonous Peach Mountain is defended, someone will continue to pursue Gu Xi.

Thus, Gu Xi immediately walked out of the Assembly Hall and opened the main city gate of Kai Yalidu City.

Once Poisonous Peach Mountain was built, Gu Xi had already clearly communicated with Luna.

Gu Xi planned to return to Kai Yalidu City once the situation in Poisonous Peach Mountain was resolved, to perform summoning on the leader-level corpse and arrange it to guard Poisonous Peach Mountain.

He also intended to summon the corpses from the previous two battles, converting them into the undead to guard Poisonous Peach Mountain.

Right now, no soldiers came out when the main city gate opened at Kai Yalidu City.

It seemed they were all busy with Gu Xi’s orders.

After waiting for about seven or eight seconds, an undead peeked out from the main city gate.

Seeing Gu Xi’s appearance, he immediately sent a signal to the city.

Soon after, a lord from the Grand Princess Council rushed out from the main city gate.

”Sir, has something happened?”

”Poisonous Peach Mountain is under attack, and there are no troops defending inside the city; deploy the troops to guard the city.”

Under Gu Xi’s orders, Kai Yalidu City quickly took action.

A large number of undead heroes who heard the news rushed out from the main city gate.

Appearing in Poisonous Peach Mountain, Gu Xi noticed that his undead troops also got covered with poison from the mountain.

However, the undead were not afraid of the poison; even if covered in it, they didn’t care.

Instead, they felt stronger because of the poison on their bodies.

But Gu Xi was not someone who handed over his troops and ignored everything afterward.

Gu Xi knew that details played a very important role in battles.

Poison is a feature of Poisonous Peach Mountain.

When arranging the undead here, one cannot forget this feature.

Thus, Gu Xi turned his head to the lord from the Grand Princess Council and said, ”Control the undead coming out; prioritize zombies and ghosts, and arrange Skeleton Mages and Corpse Witches who wield poisonous power.

Additionally, arrange for Evil Bone Locusts and Bone-devouring Mud to come.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s orders, the lord immediately took action.

He sent back some undead clearly unfit for the conditions and began ordering suitable undead from the city to come out.

”Bring out that leader-level corpse now; there’s no time to go back for summoning, just summon onsite.”

This task was taken up by Luna upon receiving the order.

Soon, a Beastman corpse was quickly brought out, along with six human hero corpses and five Beastman hero corpses.

Besides their bodies, part of their equipment was also sent together.

Seeing lacking equipment, Gu Xi knew that some of it had been taken by the undead transformed by Double Death.

This matter could be understood, as the undead transformed by Double Death was part of these corpses.

Due to the potential compatibility in attributes, their chosen equipment was naturally suitable.

In Kai Yalidu City, leaders and heroes had priority in selecting weapons.

No one would interfere with them taking part of the equipment.

Gu Xi didn’t question much at that moment; when the corpses were sent out, he looked up and commanded, ”Silia, find me a place with the highest concentration of poison.”

Silia, who had gone out earlier to scout, quickly appeared before Gu Xi.

Seeing the corpses here, he naturally understood Gu Xi’s intention.

”Sir, please bring the corpses this way.”

”There are ghosts there; arrange ghosts to go to Pea Ghost Field, and have you figured out the enemy situation now?”

Gu Xi instructed his undead to carry the corpses to follow Silia while he asked from behind.

”It’s been figured out; it’s a Centaur troop, about a hundred or more in number, fully armored, wielding weapons like war axes. I wonder why they would attack us.

Currently, Poisonous Peach Mountain has neither city gate nor city wall; if they disregard everything, they will charge into the mountain in about two minutes.”

Silia had gone out to scout the enemy situation.

But he had kept an eye on all Gu Xi’s actions within Poisonous Peach Mountain.

Seeing Gu Xi mobilize such a large number of troops, Silia naturally revealed everything.

”Centaur? Heavy armor? Cavalry?”

Gu Xi’s mind sparked, swiftly issuing new orders.
