Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1172: Chapter 1170: Level Up to 11 (Requesting Subscription)

Leveling up on the spot.

This was something Gu Xi had planned from the very beginning.

When preparing to start Creation, Gu Xi had considered what he wanted to achieve this time.

Without discussing other matters, improving his level was at the top of the list.

Gu Xi had already decided to keep a portion of experience that could be used for leveling up as the final guarantee, and use the remaining experience to level up immediately once it reached the threshold, without any delay.

This time, on his way to deliver someone, Gu Xi actually experienced two battles in a row.

Each battle involved at least forty or fifty thousand people.

Even if all the enemies were defeated by Gu Xi’s Undead underlings,

the experience he could allocate to himself was only 1 point.

But no matter what, there were simply too many enemy casualties.

Thus, Gu Xi managed to gain over a hundred thousand experience points at once.

After Level 10, every level-up required approximately 110,000 experience points.

Now Gu Xi estimated that with this experience, combined with the experience previously saved, he had about 250,000.

After reaching Level 11, the experience for leveling up to Level 12 would be almost fully accumulated.

Gu Xi wasn’t worried about not having enough saved experience.

At this moment, Gu Xi actually hoped for more battles like this.

A few more times, and he might be able to reach Level 20 in one go.

As soon as Gu Xi made his selection, the corresponding information immediately popped up.

[Level Up Successful!]

[Your level has increased to Level 11, your life and mana are fully restored, all negative statuses are cleared, Intelligence +1, and you can choose two of the following five skills as a reward.]

[Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression: Lord of the Underworld exclusive skill, upgradeable, consumes 300 mana points to convert all undead within a radius of five kilometers into your own undead (effect can be enhanced with Death Lord skill).]

[Witch Demon Enhancement: Death Witch Lord exclusive skill, upgradeable, consumes 100 mana points to enhance 20 Necromancers, transforming them into Witch Demons. If the Necromancers are already Witch Demons, their level can temporarily increase by 5 levels.]

[Powerful Corpse Burst: Combined Skill, upgradeable, requires Corpse Burst Level 4 or above, one Fire Element and one Ice Element spell Level 3 or above, consumes 30 mana points, to perform a corpse burst in an area, with power at least five times that of a normal Corpse Burst.]

[Blood Pool Skill: Professional Skill, upgradeable, consumes 1 mana point to create a blood pool at a designated location, which can be used as a corpse or as a foundation for other undead magic.]

[Corpse Wall Skill: Professional Skill, upgradeable, consumes 1 mana point to create a three-meter-high, two-meter-wide wall of corpses in a designated area, which has self-attack capabilities and can devour corpses.]

Looking at the information that popped up in front of him,

Gu Xi immediately chose the Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression skill.

Not to mention, exclusive skills of the Lord of the Underworld were never subpar.

Last time, the Ghost Gate Opening was a simplified version of the Undead Calamity.

Now Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression is an enhanced version of the Death Lord.

Once this skill is used, all undead within its range would be subjugated by Gu Xi.

Unlike with the Death Lord skill, where Gu Xi needed to negotiate and communicate, ending up subjugating only half.

If mastering the Death Lord skill allowed Gu Xi to navigate the Undead World unchallenged and without safety concerns,

then mastering the Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression skill allowed him to occupy the entire Undead World, converting all undead, hostile or not, to his own.

It could be said that with sufficient mana, Gu Xi could turn areas of the Yellow Springs or Netherworld into his own domain.

If Gu Xi were ruthless enough, he might even suppress and subjugate the Netherworld King.

Of course, there must be limitations, but is Gu Xi afraid of those?

In Gu Xi’s view, this skill is basically a divine skill, an enhanced version of one of the Three Divine Skills, so why hesitate to choose it? He selected Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression without a doubt.

Under Peach Mountain Ghost Suppression, Gu Xi didn’t even consider Blood Pool Skill and Corpse Wall Skill.

Gu Xi knew very well that those two skills were essentially for shaping the battlefield terrain to his advantage.

For some Undead Mages, once they reached Level 11, the number of undead troops they commanded could reach tens of thousands.

At that point, Undead Mages needed to consider large-scale battlefield combat.

But for Gu Xi, he had already surpassed this stage.

With three thousand undead, Gu Xi had already had such a force when he just joined the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

Currently, every battle Gu Xi engaged in started with tens of thousands.

A small battlefield of three thousand people required little consideration from Gu Xi; he could simply charge with a battalion.

Thus, spells for altering battlefield terrain were of no use to Gu Xi.

Instead, the Witch Demon Enhancement and Powerful Corpse Burst skills caught Gu Xi’s eye.

Powerful Corpse Burst is an enhanced version of Corpse Burst, incorporating elemental attributes.

Its power is five times that of a normal Corpse Burst, while Gu Xi’s current Corpse Burst, upgraded from the Secondary Corpse Burst, is about twice as powerful as the Secondary Corpse Burst.

By comparison, the power of such a Powerful Corpse Burst is approximately ten times that of the Secondary Corpse Burst.

This means that a single corpse, when exploded, can achieve much more now.

However, for Gu Xi, this seemed to be somewhat lackluster.

After all, he sometimes felt that this move wasn’t worth the cost.

If Witch Demon Enhancement wasn’t available, Gu Xi might have grit his teeth and chosen it.

Now that Witch Demon Enhancement appeared, Gu Xi naturally hesitated.

And the hesitation wasn’t because Witch Demon Enhancement was subpar.

It was because, after reaching Level 10, the Necromancers summoned by the Death Witch Summoning had already turned into Witch Demons on their own.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, he no longer needed to consider transforming Necromancers into Witch Demons.

Although mentioned in the skill description, it can increase Witch Demons’ levels by 5.

To Gu Xi, the significance wasn’t that great.

But now faced with choosing between the two, Gu Xi considered which would be more beneficial to him: Witch Demon Enhancement or Powerful Corpse Burst.

After much deliberation, Gu Xi ultimately chose Witch Demon Enhancement.

Gu Xi now hoped that this skill could bring something different to him.

Just like this time, when preparing the Resurrection Skill, the previously summoned Witch Demons struggled to keep up.

If these new Witch Demons’ capabilities can keep pace, using Resurrection Skill in the future could become simpler.

Additionally, in places that require cooperation from Witch Demons, it remains to be seen if they can perform more tasks.

It must be noted that Necromancers and Witch Demons summoned by Gu Xi through Death Witch Summoning can all assist with basic undead magic.

If their levels could indeed be five levels higher than Gu Xi’s, it would be greatly beneficial to Gu Xi.

Thus, after much deliberation, the final spell Gu Xi chose was Witch Demon Enhancement.
