Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1156: Chapter 1154: Ambush and Counterattack

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Holy Silver Evil Coffin accelerated to full speed, heading straight forward.

The ambushing enemies didn’t anticipate such decisiveness from Gu Xi. To prevent the Holy Silver Evil Coffin from breaking through, the ambushing troops immediately charged out from nearby.

Seeing the troops rushing out, Gu Xi couldn’t help but mutter.

”What kind of messed-up combination is this.”

The situation of the troops before him was even more complex than that of Dominic’s subordinates.

Griffins, Stone Golems, and Golden Eagles soared in the sky, while groups of green-skinned Beastmen charged out on the ground.

These Beastmen varied in height, the tallest being around two meters, clad in thick Iron Armor and wielding War Axes or Sword and Shield type weapons.

The shorter ones were only about a meter tall, holding a 1.2-meter Long Spear, falling short even compared to Dominic’s Cave Dwellers.

Additionally, cavalry units riding massive Mammoths and Tyrannosauruses appeared; all sorts of entities seemed to be gathered here.

Once Gu Xi pushed Kro into the rear room of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Kro peeked out.

He immediately saw the surrounding troops charging out and shouted out.

”Where did these bastards come from?”

”How would I know who you’ve offended.”

Gu Xi rolled his eyes; luckily, he had already prepared everything before coming here.

The number of enemies before him wasn’t beyond Gu Xi’s expectations.

”Aurora Knight Order clears the path; Black Spear Camp kills the enemies.”

Gu Xi immediately deployed the Garrison Gate onto the battlefield.

Two troops charged out from inside.

As soon as they appeared on the battlefield, Amirka immediately grasped the situation Gu Xi was in.

At the same time, he understood the meaning behind Gu Xi’s orders.

Gu Xi didn’t want to get entangled with these guys.

He hoped the Aurora Knight Order could break through, allowing the Holy Silver Evil Coffin to charge out of the encirclement.

As for the enemies here, they were all handed over to the Black Spear Camp for processing.

As for how the battle would turn out, it depended on the choices made by the Black Spear Camp.

However, at this moment, the Black Spear Camp could be considered as having swapped their inferior weapons for powerful ones.

In the train station of Ancestor City, besides obtaining twelve Purple Long Spears, Gu Xi also acquired several Blue Quality schematics.

Among these were weapons like Two-Handed Swords and Long Spears.

So Gu Xi simply took advantage of this opportunity to perform a gear swap for the Bone-Slaying Camp and the Black Spear Camp.

The newly equipped Long Spears of the Black Spear Camp, although lacking the large troop support of the Phalanx Spear, had their own unique purposes.

Now these Blue spears, besides being higher in attack power, carried a relatively special attribute.

After an attack, they sometimes possessed a spontaneous explosive effect.

If this was given to others, surely they would think these spears are impractical.

But for the soldiers in the Black Spear Camp, this was the best Long Spear.

The greatest issue of the Black Spear Camp was their lack of attack power.

Originally in their battles, as long as three to five soldiers struck, one spear could pierce through the enemy.

But the situation is different now.

The new Long Spears not only increased attack power but also carried an explosive effect.

This not only improved the Black Spear Camp soldiers’ attack power, but most importantly, they no longer needed to pull the spears out after killing the enemies.

They were accustomed to four or five soldiers simultaneously attacking one enemy.

And the spears had a thirty percent chance of causing an explosion.

Which meant among the attacks from four or five soldiers, there would surely be one that caused an explosion.

Once an enemy died and their body exploded, what’s the need to retrieve a spear?

The body was blown to bits; there was no need to retrieve the weapon; just charge ahead.

It could be said that this was the fundamental improvement of the Black Spear Camp.

Under Gu Xi’s command, Black Spear Camp immediately focused on the nearby charging Beastmen.

Excellent materials.

Arroyo instantly raised the War Axe in his hand.

”Prepare, attack clockwise using the Garrison Gate as the center point.”

As Arroyo charged out, Amirka also immediately led the Aurora Knight Order charging ahead.

Although the Aurora Knight Order was still primarily composed of Cyan Knights, Amirka hadn’t been idle during this period.

Besides Cyan Knights, Amirka also supplemented his forces with a variety of different units.

Not to mention, Hellhounds were now fully integrated into the Aurora Knight Order.

Additionally integrated were Gu Xi’s newly added Flying Team, Stone Golems.

These Stone Golems weren’t the ones Gu Xi originally used as Scouts.

They belonged to Eve’s newly crafted Stone Golems.

Compared to the Netherworld Stone Giants, these Stone Golems were more suited to the style of the Undead.

Though their bodies were still stone-colored, their appearance had changed from typical Stone Golems.

Previously, Stone Golems had a demonic aspect.

But these current Stone Golems looked more like actual Skeleton Soldiers.

They also carried weapons that could be thrown, similar to the Spear type weapons.

With such weapons present, it indicated these Stone Golems transformed from melee units to airborne ranged troops.

They would become more difficult to combat.

Furthermore, their flying speed could match the charging speed of Cyan Knights.

This time, as soon as Amirka initiated the charge, these Stone Golems instantly rushed towards the enemy Flying Team.

On the Beastman’s side, Griffins emerged, something Gu Xi hadn’t anticipated.

But as long as they didn’t deploy Dragons or similar Flying Teams, Gu Xi didn’t plan to prematurely deploy the Bone Dragon Corps.

As the Stone Golems charged towards these Flying Teams, Gu Xi merely glanced and didn’t pay further attention.

These Stone Golems were obviously battle units; despite being around Level 6, their aerial combat ability greatly surprised Gu Xi.

Most importantly, their flying speed and coordination in the air, didn’t resemble something that Amirka, who only knew how to command cavalry charges, could bring forth.

But now wasn’t the time to dwell on such matters; Amirka’s troops were already colliding with the enemy’s foremost cavalry units.

The Beastman cavalry had several types: some rode wolves, others wild boars, and some mounted giant rodents.

During the charge of these green creatures, these cavalry units were at the rear of the formation.

But after just a few strides, they had already rushed to the front.

As they confronted these Beastmen, Amirka’s eyes gleamed.

This was the battle he desired, raising his Long Spear, Amirka commanded loudly.

”Focus the attack, prepare to break through!”

In Amirka’s orders, a Level 31 Cyan Knight who had always been among the Cyan Knight Corps, clamped his Long Spear tightly, activated the combat aura to its full extent, and became the core of the Cyan Knight’s charge, leading them like a Blue tidal wave, crashing into the enemy units.
