”Damn, playing this big?”

Kro also saw the situation in front of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin for the first time.

However, he immediately grabbed Gu Xi’s hand.

”Don’t act recklessly. I know this troop. They are from the Doria Empire, one of the three nearby empires.

We have no conflict with them, so don’t act recklessly.”

Listening to Kro, Gu Xi’s expression tensed.

”Are you sure?

Once we stop, it will become relatively troublesome if we want to fight again.”

Gu Xi glanced at Kro.

”Don’t worry. I still have some connections on the Doria Empire side. Besides, this is a battle between the Doria Empire and the Daldo Empire. They’ve been fighting for who knows how many years. Everyone’s used to it, nothing will happen.”

Kro kept reassuring Gu Xi.

”Alright, I’ll trust you this time.

But if there’s danger, I’ll definitely take action.”

Gu Xi spoke as he quickly moved.

The Holy Silver Evil Coffin had stopped, but Gu Xi’s six Equipment Carriers gathered around him.

This way, it ensures Gu Xi won’t be instantly killed by anyone.

Meanwhile, Eldest Princess Anna also received orders from Gu Xi and swiftly organized various troops, preparing for battle at the Main City Gate, Steel City Gate, and Garrison Gate.

If there truly is any danger, as long as Gu Xi opens the gates, there will quickly be enough troops to protect him.

At this moment, Gu Xi’s expression tensed, recalling the previous scenes he had seen.

Although it was a moment when the Holy Silver Evil Coffin jumped out from the darkness, Gu Xi still saw at least thirty troop formations set up outside Rocovarlon City.

These formations are thousand-man battle arrays, meaning that just on Rocovarlon’s side, there were already thirty thousand soldiers surrounding it.

Moreover, the opponent has abilities like the Battlefield Teleportation Technique that can swiftly mobilize troops, so the troop estimate needs to be increased.

If it really turns into a fight, this could lead to another hundred thousand-level battle.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi held Kro back.

”Think it over, there’s still a chance now.”

Kro gave Gu Xi a look, ”Brother Gu, don’t worry. I’ve thought it through clearly. I’m familiar with the three nearby nations, nothing will happen.”

Only then did Gu Xi let go of his hand.

At this moment, Kro also took out something like a banner and kept waving it in his hand.

”Don’t approach, I have no hostility. I am archaeologist Kro.

I have the pass issued by your king.”

Upon hearing this, the troops blocking Gu Xi’s way also stopped in their tracks.

However, they didn’t put down their weapons yet.

Gu Xi noticed that this thousand-strong group consisted of crossbowmen wearing blue light armor and holding heavy crossbows.

All of them were in a half-crouch position, their eyes tightly fixed on Kro.

However, Gu Xi could sense that their peripheral vision was all focused on the Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

It seems the hero commanding the siege troops reacted quite swiftly.

He immediately estimated the movement speed of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin and locked it as a target.

These crossbowmen were sent to deal with the Holy Silver Evil Coffin to ensure it couldn’t escape even at its highest speed.

As for sending other troops over,

that hero probably didn’t think about it. For one, his forces weren’t ample enough to dispatch all troops for a Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

On the other hand, he was confident that even a dragon could be killed under the concentrated attack of a thousand crossbowmen. He didn’t believe Gu Xi could be tougher than a dragon.

Indeed, the Holy Silver Evil Coffin stopped as soon as it encountered the crossbowman troop. On top of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Kro was still holding up the banner of the Doria Empire to prove his identity.

When this troop before them was about to move, the crossbowman boss didn’t hesitate to raise his right hand, dispatching over thirty people to approach the Holy Silver Evil Coffin to control Gu Xi and the others first.

Whether Gu Xi and Kro were enemies or allies would be discussed after the siege battle ended.

However, whether they would eventually return the Holy Silver Evil Coffin to Gu Xi depended on how strong Gu Xi’s backing was.

”Get down, everyone jump down, and that elf shooter, hand over your bow, or you’ll face the attack of thousands of crossbow arrows.”

The crossbowmen cautiously approached the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, loudly shouting.

Gu Xi was quite displeased with this kind of taunt from mere soldiers.

He glared, giving the crossbowman a fright.

The advancing crossbowmen also got angry, ”What are you looking at? If you don’t get down, I’ll make a move.”

Gu Xi ignored the crossbowmen and instead looked at Kro.

His eyes questioned, is this the safety you mentioned?

Fortunately, the crossbowman boss was sensible enough.

”Alright, fall back.”

He then glanced at Gu Xi’s side, ”You can rest assured to come down. I can ensure your safety.”

Gu Xi gave Kro a look, preparing to say something when suddenly, there was a whooshing sound. An unknown crossbow arrow flew out and struck Kro.

Beside Gu Xi, the Extreme Sunlight Carrier immediately raised dual shields, blocking in front of him.

Seizing the moment of the Extreme Sunlight Carrier’s appearance, Gu Xi looked towards Kro.

At that moment, Kro was lying in a pool of blood, a crossbow arrow stuck in the middle of his forehead. Red blood, yellow fluid, and white brain matter flowed from the hole created by the crossbow arrow.

The hollow eyes had already lost their vitality.

Even without approaching, Gu Xi knew Kro was dead.

Yet, before Gu Xi could do anything, the crossbowman boss below shouted at once: ”Fire!”

Clearly, once the crossbowman boss realized something was wrong, his first choice was silencing.

And his choice matched Gu Xi’s suspicions.

With the Extreme Sunlight standing before him, Gu Xi knew this matter couldn’t be settled peacefully anymore.

He resolutely pressed his Fox Eye Ring, unleashing the killing move on it.

Mind Kill!

Simultaneously, the Holy Silver Evil Coffin decisively charged outward.

Within the range of Mind Kill, everything within a few kilometers was affected.

Though the influence wasn’t substantial, it was enough to induce suicidal thoughts through mental influence on everyone.

But for the battlefield at hand, it was absolutely fatal.

Because Gu Xi’s influence covered all the soldiers on the battlefield as well.

And most of these soldiers had their attention focused on Rocovarlon.

At such a critical time, if soldiers collectively exhibited suicidal tendencies,

it would be an absolute tragedy.

After unleashing Mind Kill, Gu Xi didn’t pause, raising his Illusion Magic Wand and pointing it at the crossbowman unit in front.

”Death Ripple!”
