Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1168: Chapter 1166: The New Leader Strikes

When Gu Xi released all three city gates, the commander of the Doria Empire’s forces was indeed startled.

The commander immediately understood what was happening.

But regretting it now was useless.

Who would have thought a mere passerby would cause such an incident?

Luckily, he had already signaled the troops on the other sides of the city walls.

Very soon, the forces from the other city walls would come to support.

He must remove Gu Xi.

He couldn’t let Gu Xi escape just like that.

But the subsequent situation made the commander increasingly uneasy.

He realized that Gu Xi wasn’t planning to run away; Gu Xi wanted to annihilate the Doria Empire’s forces right there.

Especially when Amirka charged at him with the Aurora Knight Order, he understood that Gu Xi was also a battlefield expert who had immediately pinpointed the battle’s key point.

He couldn’t let the enemy get close.

The commander immediately activated the Battlefield Teleportation Technique.

However, this time the Battlefield Teleportation Technique wasn’t aimed at his own forces.

It was targeted at Amirka’s troops charging towards him.

After the Battlefield Teleportation Technique, Amirka was immediately sent to the farthest position from the Doria Empire’s commander.

At the same time, the Doria Empire forces quickly rushed towards Amirka’s troops to prepare to eliminate Amirka’s Aurora Knight Order.

However, the level difference between the Doria Empire’s forces and Amirka’s knights was too great.

The Cyan Knight leading the charge directly was Level 31.

This individual was considered one of the top existences even in this world.

Ordinary lancers, halberd soldiers, and swordsmen couldn’t possibly withstand the cavalry’s impact.

The most crucial aspect was that the Doria Empire’s forces moved in formations of a thousand.

In such a battlefield, trying to maintain formation was practically suicidal.

Their movements were inconsistent, and their leaders varied in strength, with each formation having different circumstances.

On the surface, they appeared to jointly block the Aurora Knight Order’s charge.

But in reality, they resembled scattered tactics, incapable of stopping the cavalry as imagined.

If they couldn’t stall the cavalry’s advance, everything would fall apart.

The situation was now like this; once the White Robed Iron Cavalry’s luck ability was triggered, the knights’ condition became even stronger.

Various knights concentrated together, charging straight towards the enemy.

The infantry battalions of a thousand didn’t stand a chance; they were overturned in a single encounter.

Seeing the situation unfold, the Doria Empire’s commander understood he couldn’t let Amirka’s troops charge at him again.

At this rate, he didn’t have enough forces to manage.

So he promptly pushed his swordsman troops forward.

Preparing to hold the enemy outside.

But just then, Gu Xi’s other unit charged forward wielding war axes.

This unit had just been influenced by Gu Xi’s Double Death, transformed into the beastman troops within Yalidu City.

The leader was previously the beastman chieftain.

Jamie!

[Jamie (Level 8, Summoned Creatures, Undead Leader): Experience (0/15000), Attack 8, Defense 0, Life 225, Mana 60, Talent: Charge and Kill (for every level up, all troops’ movement speed increases by 5%), Skills: Offensive Skill Level 3, Defense Skill Level 3, Logistics Skill Level 2, Pathfinding Skill Level 3, Leader (can simultaneously command 5000 soldiers + 3 heroes + 14 boss units).]

The attributes clearly showed Jamie’s focus was on movement speed.

With each level up, speed increased by 5%.

At Level 8, speed increased by 40%.

In this situation, even if accompanied by zombies, they could outrun skeleton soldiers.

Though this unit couldn’t charge directly like Amirka, its ability to swiftly move and seize positions was exceptionally strong.

Upon exiting the gates, Jamie immediately identified the enemy commander’s location.

However, at that moment, Amirka had already charged ahead, so Jamie refrained from leading his troops in that direction.

But as Amirka was teleported away by a Battlefield Teleportation Technique, Jamie realized his opportunity had arrived.

He promptly led his forces towards the enemy commander.

Jamie’s movement truly activated his talent.

The troops’ movement speed soared multiple times.

The heroes under his command also knew his fighting style, and immediately led their troops forward; the beastmen, even transformed into skeleton soldiers, had weaponry and armor distinct from other skeleton soldiers.

The weapons held by these skeleton soldiers were heavy ones like war axes, charging forward, resembling Frenzied Beast Skeleton Soldiers; the only difference being Frenzied Beast Skeleton Soldiers were less controllable, while these skeleton soldiers followed orders.

Following these skeleton soldiers were the zombies originally never brought to the battlefield.

Zombies were considered a more orthodox undead unit, but their slow movement was always a major issue.

Such units were typically used for defense battles.

Otherwise, few used zombies for combat.

In Jamie’s hands, however, the increased 40% movement speed allowed them to nearly keep pace with skeleton soldiers.

Thus, Jamie didn’t resist deploying zombies in battle.

These zombies charged out and precisely occupied several strategic positions nearby.

The zombies understood that despite their enhanced speed, they couldn’t quickly reach the commander.

So they directly secured positions, blocking enemy reinforcements, ensuring no enemy troops could aid, leaving the rest to Jamie.

Hence, Jamie led the skeleton soldiers and Ghost Corps, charging straight towards the commander.

At this moment, the commander was contemplating repeating his tactic to teleport Jamie’s troops to a distant position; when an undead accompanying Jamie struck.

This undead was the former Beastman Chief.

He wasn’t a leader nor a player, but his status was higher than a leader.

Under Gu Xi’s Double Death transformation, he transferred into Yalidu City.

Simultaneously, his status transitioned as well.

Though beside Jamie, he wasn’t Jamie’s subordinate, rather like an independent undead.

Upon witnessing the enemy commander about to act, this undead promptly made his move.
