Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 196: Chapter 194: Unit Skins and Trading

[You have acquired the Zombie Skin - Ice Ghost. You can transform a squad of the Zombie Corps into the appearance of an Ice Ghost.]

With the appearance of this sound, a card appeared in Gu Xi’s hand.

The front of the card showed a zombie with greenish skin holding a kitchen knife. When flipped over, the back depicted an Ice Ghost with blue skin, eyes glowing blue, chest pierced with an ice crystal, and white hair covered with frost.

With just one glance, Gu Xi understood how to use this type of skin.

All he needed to do was wave this skin card at a Zombie, and it would transform the Zombie’s appearance into that of an Ice Ghost.

No requirements, no restrictions, just a simple fool-proof operation.

The only issue is, if you don’t want your entire Zombie horde to turn into this form, you should specify the skin’s coverage beforehand.

This range needs to be a regimented unit with a battle banner.

Gu Xi considered his resources and raised the skin card.

”Zombie Skin to Ice Ghost, looking to trade for a Skeleton Skin. Anyone up for it?”

”I have one here, got a Skeleton Skin - Hell Knight. Wanna trade?”

”I also have one, Skeleton Skin to Mechanical Skeleton, full of tech vibe.”

”Skeleton Skin, transforms to Lady White Bone; I’m open to a trade...”

”I have a Ghost Skin, the black-haired ghost from the well. It’s too creepy for me. Anyone want to trade for a less scary Skeleton Skin?”

Gu Xi’s one comment suddenly sparked a lively atmosphere.

Gu Xi noticed he wasn’t the only one dissatisfied with their drawn skin.

Turns out, many skins were quite unreliable.

The diverse styles of skins overwhelmed Gu Xi, until he finally found a player.

This player offered to trade a skin: [Skeleton Skin - Curse of Night].

The front of this skin was of Skeleton Soldiers with sword and shield, while the back depicted a skeleton covered in red patterns, skull topped with a candle, wax flowing into the eye sockets.

This kind of Skeleton Soldier looked more eerie than the original, the image alone could send shivers down one’s spine.

But this Skeleton Skin had a presence to it, and Gu Xi wanted such skeletons.

So, after a brief chat, Gu Xi and the player agreed to trade, exchanging [Zombie Skin - Ice Ghost] for [Skeleton Skin - Curse of Night].

Having completed the trade, Gu Xi was about to leave when he saw Liu Kai also preparing to trade with his own skin.

Remembering the troops Liu Kai sent during the final battle, Gu Xi approached to greet him.

”Liu Kai.”

”Comrade Gu, you’re still alive, that’s great! I saw your Stone Golem send a message and thought you might not make it.”

”Thanks to the Corpse Poison Fly you sent. Oh, most of them are still alive; I’ll give them back to you later.”

”No need, you can keep the Corpse Poison Flies. I gained a lot this time; those troops are insignificant.”

Liu Kai said with a smirk.

Despite the exhaustion, they had gained many benefits: various potions, formulas, materials, and enhanced forces.

Every Undead Mage player made a tidy profit from this battle.

Liu Kai had summoned a two-thousand strong force, paying little heed to a hundred Corpse Poison Flies.

Gu Xi thought for a moment, then handed something to Liu Kai.

”The Corpse Poison Flies were a kind gesture; I can’t take them for free. This is something I came across in frontline battles, something I can’t use, so I’ll give it to you.”

Gu Xi handed over some herbs he collected from the battle with the giant Other Ghost Boss.

It was the last time Gu Xi had time to clear the battlefield, gaining many valuable items from the deceased Other Ghost Bosses of various attributes.

Among them were many herbs, and Gu Xi couldn’t remember exactly what kind of Other Ghost Boss they came from or where the herbs originated.

Except for the portion he set aside with Kane, he carried the rest with him.

Since Liu Kai didn’t want the Corpse Poison Flies, Gu Xi immediately thought of these herbs and handed them to Liu Kai.

Looking at the herbs Gu Xi presented, a faint smile appeared on Liu Kai’s face.

”You’re too kind, really too much.”

”It’s nothing. By the way, Comrade Liu, you’ve been in the Scattered Immortal Garden for some time, right? Do you know which Death Knight there is strong enough to handle a full set of superb Tank gear?”

Gu Xi considered before asking.

Liu Kai’s eyes lit up.

”What’s this superb gear?”

”Purple Armor.”

Gu Xi casually replied, ”Superb Purple Armor, better than regular, and it’s Tank Armor. You understand its value, there’s also a Blue decoration.

The two combined have a synergistic effect greater than the sum.”

”I know someone who’s been suppressing his Level to improve himself, aiming to join the Sun Knight Order.

His path is Main Tank, needs Tank Armor.

If you’ve got something good, I can introduce you.”

”How are his finances?”

Liu Kai grinned, ”He’s from three generations in the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, his grandpa is a guild high-up, and his father is the Sun Knight Order’s third Main Tank.

You can imagine his wealth.

The important thing is that your gear must be genuinely good, not just any Purple Equipment. Effects can make lower-grade Blue Equipment superior at times.”

”Don’t worry, this is solid stuff. I’ll be frank, I found a Purple Shield fighting an Other Ghost. If I weren’t an Undead Mage, I’d use it myself.”

”A Purple Shield? Then it’s settled.”

Hearing this, Liu Kai clapped his hands, confident they were on track.

He quickly penned a note and sent it with a Raven.

Gu Xi noticed Liu Kai’s Raven had green eyes, exuding a green aura, clearly a poisonous breed.

Not knowing how Liu Kai raised such Ravens.

Writing mid-note, Liu Kai turned to Gu Xi.

”What do you want in return?”
