”Temporary speed boost!”

Gu Xi tightly pressed himself against the coffin lid, gripping the iron chains with both hands, as the Evil Coffin sped forward at top speed.

The original speed of the Evil Coffin was already at 250 kilometers per hour, and now with the boost, Gu Xi was almost thrown off directly, but fortunately, he held onto the iron chains tightly, prevent himself from being left behind.

A few seconds later, Gu Xi was back under his city gate.

Before he could wake the entire Undead Corps and prepare for battle, a loud boom echoed behind him.

Gu Xi didn’t even think to turn around to see what had happened; he quickly let go of his grip and slid down from the Evil Coffin, dodging the shockwave of the explosion behind.

However, the shockwave Gu Xi imagined did not occur.

Other than the sound of the explosion, everything was silent behind him.

Curiously, Gu Xi poked his head out and realized that where he had previously placed the Farmer’s House, there was now a massive crater.

Apart from that, there was nothing left.

The castle was gone, and the Other Ghosts that came along with it were gone as well.

Everything in front of him was spotless, as if nothing had ever happened.

Only the large crater left by the explosion proved that something had occurred.

”So close, I almost died in there.”

Looking at the giant crater, Gu Xi swallowed hard and finally managed to utter these words.

If it weren’t for the Evil Coffin’s temporary speed boost, and if Gu Xi had been distracted by the notification that popped up, the explosion might have engulfed him as well.

Unlike now, he could still stand at the edge of the crater and watch everything from here.

Looking down at the crater in front of him, Gu Xi actually wanted to ask what happened during the explosion.

But the Undead couldn’t communicate with Gu Xi, so he could only push this matter to the back of his mind for now.

With the attack halted, things finally quieted down on Gu Xi’s side.

The Pirate Ship and the castle couldn’t capture the node Gu Xi was guarding, and the Other Ghosts knew that the situation here wasn’t easy to deal with. They were pondering how to deploy their troops next.

Meanwhile, at the very core of the Undead Calamity Ritual Array, the Mage Leader was holding his Magic Staff and chanting spells continuously, surrounded by over sixty undead mage players.

Unlike the Undead Mages guarding the outside, these players mainly focused on Poison Attribute or Cold Attribute paths.

They weren’t very good at commanding the Undead Corps in battle, but they were strong when it came to using poison or ice-based attacks.

Currently, they were drawing on their mana continuously, transforming it into one green or ice-blue Mana Ball after another, injecting them into the Undead Calamity Ritual Array.

With each injection, the Mage Leader’s face changed color, from green to white, then from white to red.

It was evident that he was adjusting the mana input each time.

Outside these undead mages, there were others preparing for the next phase.

Should anyone run out of mana, they would immediately step forward to replace them.

They all knew what the situation was.

The pressure from the Other Ghosts’ attack was intense, and almost all of the one hundred Array nodes on the periphery had fallen.

Now they had this last chance. If they couldn’t withstand it, everyone here would be doomed.

At this moment, a dozen Stone Golems flew in.

Before they even got close, several undead mage players discovered them.

They quickly dispatched their subordinates to intercept them.

After all, in the current time, even the Undead might not be trusted, let alone a group of Stone Golems.

And at this moment, the Stone Golems descended from the sky, handing over a letter from Gu Xi to one of the Undead Mages.

After reading the letter, this Undead Mage looked at his companion beside him.

”There’s still someone alive at the front line array node, how is that possible?”

”Who?” another Undead Mage asked curiously.

”Gu Xi, also nicknamed ’Breath of the Dead’? I’ve never heard of him, is he a member of the Guild?”

The Undead Mage holding the letter took a careful look at Gu Xi’s signature below and asked with some confusion.

”He sure is, remember the one whom the Mage Leader called away individually? That’s Gu Xi. I heard he mastered one of the Three Divine Skills.”

”The Three Divine Skills, now that you mention it, I remember. It’s Death Incarnation, right? No wonder he’s holding on, with one of the Three Divine Skills, his survival rate is indeed high.”

”No, I heard it’s Death City. Only with such a skill can one hold on the front line.”

”No, it’s Death Incarnation. I saw his Bone Dragon before.”

”Death City.”

Seeing several Undead Mages about to argue over this, an elderly Undead Mage quickly stepped forward to stop them.

”Gentlemen, gentlemen, stop arguing. Do you think it’s possible that this Gu Xi possesses two of the Three Divine Skills?”

”How is that possible?”

”Exactly, having one is incredible fortune already, two would be cheating, right?”

But the elderly Undead Mage said, ”Don’t forget, he had his own title in the Academy, and judging from the title, it must have been bestowed by their dean.

What does this mean? It means he possessed such talent in the Academy.

Some people are, well, born in Rome.

Can’t compare, really can’t compare.”

”Now is not the time to discuss this. What we should be concerned about is what to do with his request for aid. Should we support him?”

”Support him? Do we have any troops? Do we have any mana? We have nothing. How can we support him, stop the final ritual of the Undead Calamity Array?

That’s all impossible. Now he has to hold on by himself.”

Finished, the elderly Undead Mage player shook his head helplessly.

”I’ve seen a lot of things like this. Only those who survive have the chance to be valued by others. Let’s just continue to be the workhorses we are.”

The Undead Mage player spoke, while also stepping aside, leaving the one holding Gu Xi’s request letter standing there, neither able to advance nor retreat.

”What are you standing there for? Hurry and recover your energy and mana. This matter is not up to us to decide. Just put the letter aside until the Mage Leader has time to deal with it. As for the few Stone Golems, let them return.

Although there are only a few, at least they’ll provide some combat power when they return.”

A companion, seeing the Undead Mage still holding the request letter, stepped forward and said.

It was only then that this Undead Mage came back to his senses. He was about to send the request letter to the information gathering center nearby when Liu Kai suddenly walked over.

”I just heard you talking about Gu Xi, right? What happened? Can I see that letter?”
