The skill Enchanting, actually does not have a strong effect on the Undead.

Undead have no heart, this is something universally known.

Gu Xi wasn’t trying to hypnotize the enemy, just to cause a moment of distraction.

Sure enough, as Gu Xi made his move, the Abomination staggering under the concentrated fire of the Skeleton Shooters suddenly paused.

The speed at which he swung the Iron Rod was significantly slower, and right then the Skeleton Shooter Boss launched the second wave of concentrated fire.

This time, the Abomination couldn’t block these attacks, over a hundred arrows all stabbed into his face.

If it weren’t for the Abomination’s strong Life Force, he would’ve died from this alone.

Now the Abomination was enraged.

He no longer considered any ambushes, raised his Iron Rod, and charged towards Gu Xi.

Gu Xi pointed directly at the Abomination.

Wraith Whiskers!

A vast number of arms and Tentacles emerged from the ground, firmly grabbing the Abomination’s legs, preventing him from advancing.

Meanwhile, the ordinary Skeletons noticed the situation with the Abomination.

Previously, fighting and killing the Red-skinned dried corpses gave these Skeletons quite a bit of Experience and benefits.

Now seeing another opportunity, a large number of Skeletons swarmed forward.

These Skeletons leapt onto the Abomination, clawing and biting.

The Abomination was already angry due to being unable to move, and now things were getting worse.

The Abomination swung his Iron Rod, performing a Horizontal Sweep to fling away the Skeletons on him.

But more Skeletons continued to swarm the Abomination, just aiming to bite him or tear some flesh from him.

Seeing the situation, Gu Xi ignored the Abomination and pointed at the Red-skinned dried corpses rushing to save the Abomination. Bone Storm quickly took shape, blocking the Red-skinned corpses’ path of charge.

”Luna!”

Luna immediately knew what to do and swiftly led the Ghosts into the ranks of the Red-skinned dried corpses, drawing their attention.

Without the help of the Red-skinned dried corpses, the Abomination couldn’t withstand wave after wave of Skeletons.

After killing three waves of Skeletons, the Abomination finally couldn’t hold on.

His body was covered in wounds, the flesh originally stitched onto him was torn and scattered on the ground, only the pieced-together bones and organs remained on his body.

At this moment, it was visible that exceeding the normal quantity of organs were implanted on this Abomination, at his chest area not only were seven lungs but also four hearts of different sizes and treatment methods.

Additionally, on each side of his vertebrae, a row of brains soaked in liquid was installed.

It was obvious that this Abomination’s ability to be both a fighter and a scholar was inseparable from these organs.

But now the situation was different, since the Abomination’s flesh was torn, these organs lost their function.

Skeletons individually ripped these organs out, some even installed them on themselves.

The Abomination tried to reclaim the organs, but his flesh was exhausted, his Life was drained to the lowest point, and he remained standing only because his head hadn’t been severed.

Yet that was almost over, a powerless Abomination all over can’t stop someone from pulling his head off his body.

In the end, the Abomination’s bones were disassembled completely, leaving only the head with a string of brains delivered to Gu Xi.

Seeing the ordinary Skeletons delivering the items, Gu Xi couldn’t help but laugh: ”They actually know how to offer up?”

Then Gu Xi wanted to refuse, but as he peered at the items brought by the Skeletons, he had a change of heart.

”Let the Skeletons clean up the battlefield, they keep thirty percent of what’s snatched, the rest is recovered, Luna!”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s command, Luna looked toward Gu Xi and noticed he was pointing at the items the Skeletons captured from the Red-skinned dried corpses.

Luna and Gu Xi’s tacit understanding was quite high, she quickly understood Gu Xi’s intentions and promptly flew towards the City Gate to carve out a spot for the Skeletons to surrender this battle’s spoils.

As for whether it was right to have Skeletons surrender items, Luna never considered it.

Why should an Undead Mage care about the Undead’s thoughts?

Gu Xi was willing to give them thirty percent purely because they still had growth potential, Skeletons without potential wouldn’t even get a share from cleaning the battlefield.

As Luna was about to leave, Gu Xi added: ”Luna, take out all sorts of Armor from the city, after this battle ends, I’ll have 3rd-level and above Skeleton Soldiers from here come over to change armor.”

This battle revealed the enemy’s strength is no joke; we shouldn’t indiscriminately use Skeletons as cannon fodder, but select some with potential to nurture.”

Luna nodded to show she understood, then swiftly floated towards the City Gate.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi commanded the Skeleton Shooter Boss to fire directly at the more chaotic and difficult areas on the battlefield.

Under Gu Xi’s command, the battlefield was gradually controlled, and those Skeletons that just emerged from the Undead Calamity Array grew through the battle.

Some with particularly fierce combat styles even reached level 3, becoming formal Skeleton Soldiers.

But the weapons in their hands were still bone-crafted weapons, even after becoming Skeleton Soldiers, there was no specific weapon choice—they used whatever weapon was available.

This battle Gu Xi fought chaotically, realizing that if he hadn’t seized the chance to disrupt the enemy’s rhythm, the outcome would have been uncertain.

Thus, the Undead had to be reorganized.

Some ruthless tactics must be applied.

The combat style of Combat Squad 1’s Lancers must be learned by these Skeletons.

This Lancer combat style is the simplest, most practical, and most suitable for the fearless Skeleton Soldiers.

Besides, the Long Spear is the easiest weapon to craft; if lacking a proper Long Spear, even a rod can serve the purpose.

Additionally, ordinary Sword and Axe Warriors need to be equipped, to follow up and finish off once the Long Spears charge through.

Only with proper coordination can these Skeletons grow through repeated battles.

Otherwise, dying and summoning repeatedly, they’d remain mere cannon fodder.

For now, they could achieve victory with Gu Xi’s assistance, but what if there were more enemies later?

Who knows what kind of enemies Gu Xi will encounter next here, so he must consider his own interests.

When returning this time, any Skeleton that reaches level 3 will be re-equipped and retrained.

Then, they will become Gu Xi’s main fighting force.
