Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 179: Chapter 177: Purple Equipment - Shield (47/149)

”Comrades, thanks to our joint efforts, we’ve repelled the second wave of enemy attacks. Victory is within reach, let’s raise our weapons and cheer!”

From afar, the sound from the token could be heard.

It was then Gu Xi realized that the battle on his side was actually the last battle of the Other Ghosts’ second wave of attacks.

Moreover, his fight dragged on a bit, otherwise, the Mage Leader on the token’s side would also have immediately announced the end of the second wave of attacks without even leaving time to clean up the battlefield once his battle was over.

Faced with such a situation, Gu Xi could only shake his head.

His battlefield was still outside the Undead Calamity Ritual Array, and without retreating the troops, the lost undead soldiers couldn’t be replenished.

If the bodies weren’t brought back, they couldn’t be transformed into new undead under the effects of the Undead Calamity Ritual Array.

Now, with the token offering a second round of rewards, if he missed it, he would lose quite a bit of combat power.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but shake his head, ”Forget it, let’s clean the battlefield. Just like before, send the equipment and materials to the city gates of Yalidu City, and send the bodies to the Undead Calamity Array. Replenish as much as we can.

The second wave is over like this, who knows how strong the third wave will be.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he waved his hand, directing his troops to go clean the battlefield.

He then approached the spot where the Otherworldly Ghost Boss had been killed by the Death Dragon Breath.

The Ghost Face Shield had been attracting Gu Xi’s attention all this time.

He wanted to see if the shield had survived the previous attack.

But just then, a skeleton unexpectedly approached holding something.

It was the white baboon hide package that the Otherworldly Ghost Boss had been holding, which had been blown to bits in the Death Incarnation explosion.

This surprised Gu Xi a bit, and he reached out to take the white baboon hide. It turned out to be the first time Gu Xi encountered white baboon hide crafted into equipment.

[You have obtained: White Baboon Hide Package (Green)]

[White Baboon Hide Package (Green, Identification, Disassemble): A cloak from a special Other Ghost organization, which has been made into a package. It can be disassembled into a 24-slot standard package.]

Gu Xi was rather surprised by this disassemblable white baboon hide, but a package was something that could be used.

So Gu Xi got an idea, he didn’t hurry to disassemble the [White Baboon Hide Package], but first reached his hand inside to feel around.

Sure enough, Gu Xi pulled out some unused balloons.

[Flying Balloon (White): When inflated, allows the user to fly at a floating speed for 3 hours.]

[Standard Balloon (White): This is a very standard balloon, please use it in a standard setting, do not inflate it randomly.]

[Explosive Balloon (Green): When inflated and thrown at the enemy, it explodes. Each size increase of the balloon doubles the explosion’s power, but be careful not to let the balloon explode in your hand.]

[Water Balloon (Green): Once inflated and tied, you can see some liquid inside. As for what kind of liquid it is, you can try it yourself.]

[...]

Looking at these odd balloons, Gu Xi really didn’t know what to say.

If you call them garbage, they are all higher than white-quality items, and each has attributes.

If you say they are good things, their attributes and effects aren’t that impressive.

After emptying out the package, Gu Xi finally put his hand to the [White Baboon Hide Package] and tore it apart vigorously.

With Gu Xi’s actions, the package made of white baboon hide was torn open by Gu Xi.

It turned into a roll of gray-quality [Broken White Baboon Hide] and a fist-sized pocket [Damaged Package].

[Damaged Package (White): A regular package that comes with 24 slots, capable of storing various weapons, equipment, and materials or food not exceeding 300 kg.]

Holding these two items, Gu Xi thought carefully and then casually wrapped the fist-sized pocket around his left wrist.

Then he stuffed the [Broken White Baboon Hide] inside, while he had the skeleton soldiers take the balloons to the city gate of Yalidu City.

Such items, Gu Xi truly didn’t plan to have occupy space in his package or backpack.

While Gu Xi was dealing with the [White Baboon Hide Package], on the other side, a skeleton also found and brought over the Ghost Face Shield that the Otherworldly Ghost Boss was holding.

The presence of this shield surprised Gu Xi as well.

He already knew the Ghost Face Shield was very strong, but never expected it to be a purple shield.

Holding this shield in his hands, the ghost face on the shield grinned at Gu Xi.

[Ghost Face (Purple, Shield)]

[Defense: 18]

[After equipping: Constitution +8]

[Equipment Requirements: Power 6, Agility 4, Constitution 3]

[Special 1: Extreme Ghost Face, an ever-changing ghost face, will automatically taunt enemies who see the ghost face when aimed at them (this taunt effect has a relatively high priority, and also has some seductive allure effects).]

[Special Impact 1: After equipping and activating the Extreme Ghost Face effect once, an unhealable wound will appear on the user’s face. As usage increases, wounds on the face will multiply until the face is completely torn apart.]

[Special 2: Blood Hair, can release 40 to 200 strands of hair from the shield, falling on nearby companions or soldiers, all attack damage is shared by companions or soldiers with blood hair.]

[Special Impact 2: After equipping and activating the Blood Hair effect once, the user will suffer special damage, automatically deducting 10% of total life per hour.]

[Special 3: Ghost Face Game, when faced with a fatal blow, the ghost face will change automatically. If the ghost face is smiling, the fatal blow will be dodged, and the user will be immune to this attack.]

[Special Impact 3: After equipping and activating the Ghost Face Game effect once, the user will face the Ghost Face Game once a day. If encountering a crying face, the user will automatically lose half of total life.]

[Note: Want to play a game with me? Play with your own ghost, oh.]

”Ghost Face, Deceitful Immortal Hand? These are all tank items, seems like it’s trying to push me towards being a tank.”

Looking at the Ghost Face in his hand, Gu Xi was a bit speechless.

However, these items were not something Gu Xi could just wish for and have.

Gu Xi’s thoughts turned, and he began contemplating what he could trade this shield for.
