Chapter 1539: Deciding Factor

”Thunder Godʼs Possession, Second Form!”

Annaʼs form changed. Previously, the moment she activated this power, her body would turn into lightning, and her appearance had no change other than a horn on her head.

This time, not only did her body turn into lightning, but a pair of horns also emerged on her forehead. A black tail that looked like a cat tail emerged. All her teeth turned into fangs. Last but not least, nine lightning balls hovered around her back with a chain of lightning connecting all of them.

Now that she had made an agreement with the original Anna, she could do what she couldnʼt previously do due to her lack of mastery.

ʼReady?ʼ the original Anna asked. ʼI will control the lightning. Just blast everything you have at the opponent. If you donʼt trust me, it wonʼt work with your current control.ʼ

ʼNo worries. I wonʼt even use it if I donʼt trust you. Our goals align this time. We want to help Noel. Thatʼs why we have to defeat the land demon king as quickly as possible.ʼ

Anna and the original Anna smiled.

Anna leaped forth, using a speed that was much faster than even the fastest one Noel had ever seen.

”!!!” Even the land demon king was shocked by this speed. He moved purely on instinct to be able to react to her speed.

Their swords clashed at the very last moment. What happened earlier was that the original Anna controlled two aspects of the lightning.

She was able to control the violent power of the lightning. Hence, she first controlled the lightning around Annaʼs feet, which allowed Anna to move faster than she could if she were the one in control.

The second aspect was the lightning in her body. Once Anna swung her sword, the original Anna discharged the violent power of the lightning forward.

”Kh…” The demon king failed to repel all of them as the lightning just passed through his body. That powerful lightning sparked and flew like a beam before destroying the entire foot of the hill.

This was the kind of power that had just gone through him. The land demon king couldnʼt help but spit out a mouthful of blood.

This was the first time he had experienced this kind of power. ”This is…”

He could feel that this power was equal to the True Spirit Body. And it was clear Anna hadnʼt used her True Spirit Body.

In other words, she could go one step further by using it. The demon king couldnʼt hold back his power anymore.

”Haaaa!” The demon king wasnʼt holding back either. This was the difference between him and the supreme devil.

It was true that the supreme devil had become a demonic human, but he only had an ancient demon in his body.

On the other hand, the original demon in his body was at the demon king level. In addition, he could combine that power with his king path.

After receiving the attack, the demon king managed to support his body and even swung his sword at Anna.

With the help of the original Anna, Anna was not scared of the demon kingʼs power. She stopped his blade with her own, but the power within that blade was much more powerful than she originally thought.

It overpowered her and pushed her back. The original Anna managed to use the violent lightning to disperse that extraordinary force, but the impact was not small.

The extraordinary power of that strike casually destroyed everything in a fan-shaped area with a 100-meter radius.

”...” Anna couldnʼt help but furrow her eyebrows.

ʼOi. Anna. This guyʼs power…ʼ The original Anna suspected something.

ʼYeah. Itʼs not the same as the one Noel once described. Before, he was able to use the king path and the demon power, but this time…ʼ

ʼHe might have integrated both powers into a single power system.ʼ

In other words, the demon king in front of them was stronger than the demon king Noel faced in the previous battle.

”To think that a demon can use this kind of power…” Anna muttered.

”Do you think you humans are the only ones who can use it?” The land demon king snorted.

”Of course. Take a look at yourself in the mirror before saying such a thing.” Anna snorted.

The land demon king was just replying on the spur of the moment, but she had a point. The demon king just hid his shame by charging toward Anna.

Now that Anna had known his power, she knew how to approach the battle.

Both of them exchanged blow after blow. Their battle could be said to be messier than other battles.

The first factor was the fact that they were at the same level, which was second only to Noel and a cut above the rest.

The second factor was that they were aware the deciding factor of this war was the two of them.

If the demon king defeated Anna, the former could help the sky demon king to defeat Noel. If Anna won, she would help Noel and overturn this battle.

In other words, whether they could win or not depended on who defeated the other.

Noel, on the other hand, was having a hard time against the sky demon king. It was true that their power output was similar.

However, this kind of output could only be maintained for a while. Fortunately, Ardagan had been the one maintaining the current conflict between the two elements, but it wasnʼt going to last forever.

[Master. I donʼt see any way of defeating them. I think itʼs best to change our strategy or consider a retreat. While itʼs true that a retreat in this situation will cause a devastating blow to our morale, itʼs better to preserve our numbers. While you still have the power, it will be a good idea to go back.]

ʼYou seem to be misunderstanding something, Ardagan. Do you know who the deciding factor in this war is?ʼ

[Yes, itʼs Anna.]

ʼWrong.ʼ Noel smiled. ʼI can trust people, but I have never held back against anyone. The deciding factor in this war is still… me.ʼ
