Chapter 1511: Not a Human

”Congratulations on becoming the first spirit king after one thousand years, Grand Duke Ardagan.” The great protector, who assumed the rank of the adviser of the grand protector of the Atracaeca Kingdom, spread his arms with a wide smile.

”Thank you.” Noel nodded and shook his hand.

”You are the most amazing man in the world right now. I have-!”

Noel raised his hand, stopping him from continuing. ”Just get to the chase.”

The atmosphere became awkward, but he immediately continued, ”Understood, if you say so. We have come up with a proposal.”𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Noel looked at the document he had presented. It stated that the Atracaeca Kingdom would like to work with the Ardagan family regarding the airport and the airships.

Considering the Atracaeca Kingdom’s demography, it was natural for the airships to be the most suitable transport for them. Of course, trucks would be important as well, but the easiest one would definitely be the airship, especially for long travel.

Noel considered everything carefully. It looked like they focused too much on the airships due to the current popularity of the airships.

After several minutes, Noel raised two fingers. ”I do have two things I want you to correct.”

The advisor’s heart skipped a beat. He had carefully considered everything, but it looked like some clauses had been a bit too much for Noel.

”Yes? If you want, we can change it.”

”The first one is about the number of airships. From the looks of it, you are planning to create airships in all your major cities. That’s why the number of airships is a bit too high. At most, we can promise only 60% of the current number.”

The advisor nodded furiously. ”Understood. We are fine with it. As you can see, we are planning to develop the area around the big cities. As long as there are airports in big cities, we can build roads for trucks and other types of carriages.”

”Indeed. I don’t have a problem with the number you requested here. So, let’s move on to the next problem.

”I need you to pay at least 30% upfront. 10% is not enough for this scale.”

The advisor looked troubled. He carefully considered everything before nodding his head. ”I understand. We will change it this way.”

”In that case, let’s finalize the documents.” Noel nodded.

”Thank you very much. Happy cooperation.”

”Happy cooperation.” Noel smiled.

Noel didn’t do anything, but he could see how much the advisor was trying to maintain his composure. He knew the kind of pressure the advisor was feeling, but it stemmed from what had been ingrained in his brain.

As a result, it didn’t feel like a negotiation. It was more like coercion. If the advisor didn’t comply, the Atracaeca Kingdom might cease to exist.

Noel could only sigh helplessly. He might feel lonely soon because he wasn’t treated as a human anymore.

After the advisor left, Rose entered the room and informed, ”The prime minister of the Zaecuria Kingdom would like to meet you.”

”Alright.” Noel scratched the back of his head. ”Well, it looks like they’re scared of me. They don’t even treat me as human anymore.”

”Pfft.” Rose chuckled. ”Well, it can’t be helped. You are a spirit king in everyone’s eyes. Someone who hasn’t been seen for one thousand years. You have shown your strength in front of a lot of people, and the rumors about it have spread throughout the entire kingdom.

”Your power can destroy all four kingdoms even if they work together, so I don’t see any reason for them not to admire you.”

”At least, you still remain the same.” Noel sighed.

”Well, for me, you are still the same. You are the same boy who once walked into the Demon Banner Army and invited me to become your assistant. Unless you become someone different, why would I change?” Rose smiled.

Noel had a faint smile, but at the same time, it contained a bit of sadness. There would come a day when everyone would die. Even if he didn’t take into account the lifespan he got after becoming half spirit, he would still live longer than anyone else.

All the people who treated him like this would long be dead, and he would be finally lonely. His descendants or other followers wouldn’t treat him like this anymore.

Noel smiled. ”I will remain the same. You have to slap me if I suddenly become a tyrant. Do you dare?”

Rose chuckled. If he became a tyrant, she would probably die if that slap didn’t work. Yet, Rose simply said, ”Do you want it on the right or left?”

”Both?”

”Hahahaha.” They just laughed together.

”By the way, what is the situation, especially in our territory?”

”The morale is very high. After your strength is revealed, the people admire you even more. Though there is someone who is a bit annoying.”

”Hmm? A problem?”

”Not really a problem. You know that the Sherveana family is coming here, right?”

”For Incetta.”

”Yes. It looks like they’re besieging Incetta. Maybe pressuring her or guilt-tripping her to return.”

”I see. That must be annoying for Incetta.” Noel thought for a moment before raising one finger. ”In that case, should we push forward that plan?”

”That? Ah.” Rose fell silent for a moment. ”I do have a few candidates. Are you sure you want to go ahead with that plan?”

”Yes. It is already time. As long as the core of our strength remains, we will be fine. You should gather them now. To avoid making it look like we’re trying to target Incetta specifically, do it together and do it now. I will be meeting the Zaecuria Kingdom’s prime minister.”

”Got it.” Rose nodded with a serious expression. ”By the way, Rui will remain in the Lesen family for the time being. Anna is also staying with her brother for a bit.”

”They can take their time. Anyway, I will be meeting with the prime minister right now.” Noel waved his hand.

Rose waved back before walking away. Noel then opened the door. ”Good morning, Prime Minister Lart. I hope I haven’t made you wait too long.”
