Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 799: Chapter 323: Human Nature Anchor Point

”Captain Suzi is a good person.”

In the empty office, Gao Gong suddenly said.

”Yes, from any angle, she is a good person, and a person with a steadfast will. This kind of determination, I have only seen in Minister Aramaki,” Miss Ke responded.

”Steadfast will, able to face any predicament, strong skills, able to perform various dangerous tasks, sharp intuition, even perceiving our schemes, remaining unflinching even faced with certain death.”

Gao Gong generously praised, then his tone changed, saying:

”How did you create such a good executor?”

”I don’t understand,” Miss Ke said.

”If you truly didn’t understand, you wouldn’t have granted me the highest authority of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division. I wondered how Old Man Aramaki knew so much about the Bionic Man Giant Corporation from the start, even reaching a cooperation with Sister Rose. He was already involved in the bionic human body experiments long ago.”

With the ministerial authority, Gao Gong opened one encrypted file after another, and the last filename was—

The Yagami Suuji Manufacturing Plan.

Various human experiments.

Tests of willpower between life and death.

Modification, testing, modification again, and further testing.

One Yagami Suuji after another was killed, disassembled, leaving behind the best components.

Finally, the experiment was frozen on No. 1314.

This is the best Yagami Suuji, also the current Yagami Suuji.

”The world is a flowing information aggregate, reading, manipulating, changing. Understanding this principle, no wonder Aramaki could discover the monsters in the starry sky.”

”He possesses the same kind of monstrous thinking.”

”Lose humanity, lose much; lose beastliness, lose everything. This was the last sentence the previous minister left me.”

”Do you think Yagami Suuji, after learning this, will continue to defend humanity and human nature?”

”I don’t know, but I must remind you that when Minister Aramaki executed the ’Kusanagi Plan’, the ’Bionic Human Bill’ had not yet begun to be promulgated, so from a legal standpoint, we have not harmed life.”

”Old Man Aramaki really left me with a thorny problem.”

For most people, a ’Memory Wave’ would cause memory loss, but for Yagami Suuji, ’Memory Recovery’ is highly probable.

Then, she will know that all of Aramaki’s schemes, the so-called ’free will’, the so-called human nature, are just tools for executing the plan. Whether this woman will become corrupted is unknown to anyone.

Aramaki didn’t know, so he threw this thorny problem to Gao Gong.

Gao Gong also wanted to pass the buck, but unfortunately, there was no suitable scapegoat at the moment.

In a sense, this Captain Suzi and Sister Rose are quite similar, both having experienced similar childhood events.

Only that one was originally a natural person, yet was forced to become a bionic man.

And the other was a bionic man, an experimental subject, yet Old Man Aramaki brainwashed her to be a natural person, instilling the so-called human nature.

From another dimension, this Captain Suzi is also quite similar to Gao Gong.

If the first time they crossed into the game world, Gao Gong naively thought it was random group selection.

Then the second time crossing, if he still thinks there is no mastermind behind it, then he truly has a damaged brain.

And the purpose of the mastermind letting him cross over may even be less noble than Old Man Aramaki’s, given the old man’s grand reason of defending the world.

However, Gao Gong didn’t feel he had any cognitive issues.

’Let me think, how did I resolve self-recognition and confirm my human nature anchor point, oh right, I figured it out in the embrace of a rich lady, with the affection of a rich lady, I can maintain my humanity.’

Gao Gong stroked his chin, seriously pondering:

’Why not introduce her to a couple of quality rich ladies?’

...

Minister Gao left, carrying the great spirit of helping the mature woman find a rich patron.

And when he appeared again, it was within Gao Yuanyuan’s encrypted node.

As soon as Gao Gong appeared, streams of neural light flickered, and figures flickering with electric light blocked his path.

”Are these Neural Flow Soldiers?”

Gao Gong murmured, performing a casual investigation, revealing the opponent’s attributes.

Name: Neural Flow Warrior

Race: Information Life

Level: 45

Information Energy: 550,000

Skills: Sword of Stagnation (Tier 2), Neural Flow Body Charge Kill (Tier 2), Spiritual Shock (Tier 2), Data Penetration (Tier 2)

Note: A mass-produced Information Defender, more dangerous compared to ordinary Antivirus Guardians.

”Interesting, was this thing already created?”

Looking at these flickering electric figures, Gao Gong’s avatar, the Rich Lady Love Prototype, became very interested. He flicked his hand, producing a Civilized Stick.

In a blink, the foremost Neural Flow Warrior appeared before him, the electric light in his hand transforming into a long sword, slashing down without mercy.

’It can even teleport?’

In a split second, Gao Gong’s cane blocked the opponent’s slash.

Then he raised an eyebrow, and the civilized stick in his hand swirled around his fingertips, its shadows striking out in all directions, deflecting the sword tips piercing out from the data layer.

For a moment, Gao Gong seemed to transform into Yip Man, effortlessly dodging instant slashes, sneak attacks like stealthy snakes, and even sudden spiritual shocks, moving with prophetic agility.

This seamless display relied heavily on a unique talent.

Advanced Information Virus Perception Organ (Solidified Talent) (Tier 3): Viruses in the Information Ocean are pervasive, including data viruses, neural signal viruses, personality viruses, and even human signal viruses. But as a Senior Information Inspector, you can always detect these viruses ahead of time, no matter how well-hidden they are.

With a flick of his wrist, the civilized stick shot through the head of a Neural Flow Warrior.

The opponent’s information energy was instantly depleted.

Virtual life doesn’t have blood volume; as long as there’s information energy, it can operate, but once that energy is drained, it perishes.

However, this time was an exception. As a powerful spiritual power surged forth from the void, countless neural nodes in the shattered head lit up, and soon new neural circuits began to form, refilling the opponent’s information energy.

Being unkillable is the biggest advantage of this kind of information soldier species.

”What about this?”

Gao Gong’s right hand entered ’Encrypted Killer’ mode and his figure instantaneously teleported, piercing through a back.

The opponent’s information energy not only didn’t decrease but increased by 50,000 points.

However, ’scattered’ snowflakes began to appear on its body surface, quickly covering it entirely.

’Encryption speed is twice as slow as antivirus software, after all, one is information, the other is data; the encryption difficulty varies.’

With a thought, Gao Gong entered the ’Edge Lone Wanderer’ state, and this time, the Neural Flow Warriors lost track of him.

Meanwhile, Gao Gong also gauged the opponent’s level.

Their melee abilities far surpassed Black Wing Killers, even reaching the level of Red Wing Killers.

But in terms of adaptability, they couldn’t even match the lowest-grade Cyber Killers.

They might be formidable against AI, virtual personalities, and digital life forms, but when faced with agile Cyber Hackers, they could easily be toyed with, like so—

Gao Gong directly entered the ’Neural Wanderer’ state and, with a neural jump, appeared before Gao Yuanyuan.

”Make sure to protect yourself well, or a hacker could easily trace back and hack into your little head,” Gao Gong said, patting the other’s head.

”I won’t be hacked that easily; it was because I sensed you, brother, that I let it happen,” Gao Yuanyuan retorted with a hint of defiance.

Gao Gong thought that made sense. After all, this person was indeed a master at thinking outside the box.

”You’re here too,” Gao Gong glanced at the two figures nearby, ”I figured someone was coaxing my sister into getting the Neural Flow Warriors to act.”

”Hehe, just a joke, boss,” Ahong winked playfully, ”I bet with my senior sister on how long you’d take to get here.”

Gao Gong didn’t inquire about the outcome; he turned to Paradise Bird, ”Looking for my sister?”

”Yes, we’re going to Virus Repository 0. I wanted to ask Yuanyuan for some information about the virus.”

”Perfect, take this along.” Gao Gong flicked his hand, tossing a small black box into the other’s palm.

”This is—”

”Your old man’s electronic ashes, you asked for it, didn’t you? I happened to bring it along.”

Paradise Bird and Ahong immediately showed excited expressions.

The data from a failed electronic ascension is more dangerous than the most perilous virus, so it is retrieved by a designated person and sealed within the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.

Theoretically, these two couldn’t possibly obtain their master’s ashes in their lifetime because the place where they are stored is in the Earth Core’s Shell Attack Center.

Not even a Tier 3 Hacker, and the same goes for Tier 4, would succeed.

But for Gao Gong, this was a simple task.

After dealing with the two hackers, Gao Gong nodded toward Gao Yuanyuan, who extended a delicate palm and gently wiped it, causing the white wall before them to swiftly vanish, replaced by a virus pool.

Gox had already absorbed one-third of the ’Golden Avalanche’ on her, which means she managed to digest a third of it in less than a month.

Looking at Gox, who still had a defiant look on her sleeping face, Gao Gong smacked his lips and went to drag another box.

”Brother, I sense a very dangerous aura from that box.”

”Hmm, it’s the corpse of a Punk Clan member, called ’Tearer’.”

”Are you planning to give it to Gox?” Gao Yuanyuan showed a worried expression, ”But she’s already digesting the ’Golden Avalanche’.”

Just as Gao Gong was about to speak, a sassy girl’s voice suddenly interrupted, ”What do you know? It’s all about mixing it up! Bro, feed me quickly! The more I eat, the stronger I get!!”

Both of them turned their heads and found that Gox had woken up at some point, her red eyes casting a sidelong glance at Gao Gong.

”You’re awake, why didn’t you tell me?” Gao Yuanyuan exclaimed with joy.

”What is there to talk to you about,” Gox rolled her eyes, ”It’s more fun chatting with my little bro.”

”That’s brother,” Gao Yuanyuan said with a stern face.

”Little brother.”

”Brother.”

”Little bro!”

”Hold on, big sister Gox, and little sister, you two don’t argue,” Gao Gong said, rubbing his ears, ”Since you agree, I’ll start now.”

Gao Gong gave a light kick, and the box sank into the water pool, opened, and a black shadow flashed by, causing Gox’s eyes to bulge, countless crimson mouths appearing on her body, from the soles upward, on her calves, thighs, abdomen, chest, face, eyes, and forehead.

Most of the mouths were chewing inwards, gnawing viciously until blood and flesh were everywhere, and bone fragments floated to the surface.

Gao Yuanyuan covered her mouth, not even having a chance to say anything before Gox opened her mouth again, letting out a sharp peal of laughter.

”Hahahaha, refreshing!!”
