Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 776: Chapter 300: Arrangements

Xiao Yu doesn’t need to be mentioned, half of the carrier of the ’Doomsday Armor’.

His betrayal of the Xiao Family is indeed quite surprising.

But even more shocking is that the ’Eye of Peeping’ is dead.

This Big Data Conceptual Body, Gao Gong has dealt with before. Back in Nightless City, he dealt with an underground cult funded by the Turing Sect, which openly worshiped this ’Eye of Peeping’.

The essence of this Big Data Conceptual Body is actually all the surveillance equipment on this planet.

In short, the ’Camera Spirit’.

And its death, or ’version update’, isn’t really such a covert matter.

By casually opening a piece of news, you can see today’s headline, ’Large-scale surveillance equipment failure worldwide’, ’Disappearances of corporate surveillance footage, suspected large-scale hacker invasion’, ’Earth-shaking, issues in Virtual Reality integration, disappearance of surveillance systems, will your eyes be the next to go?’

”Miss Ke, will the disappearance of the ’Eye of Peeping’ affect the ’Electronic Eye’?” Gao Gong suddenly asked.

”If the new version of the ’Eye of Peeping’ is launched soon, there won’t be a problem. If it’s not launched in time, based on previous data, there will be an impact.”

’Then there definitely will be an impact,’ Gao Gong thought silently.

The demise of the ’Eye of Peeping’ is most likely a sign of the beginning of ’Turing’s Eastern Expedition’. Following this, the remaining Big Data Conceptual Bodies will fall one after another.

And their reincarnation will be captured by the Turing Sect followers to become offerings to the Turing God.

To weaken the No. 3 Destruction Form, efforts must be made in this aspect.

”Connect me with the section heads of Section 4 and Section 6, and have them come over.”

”Alright.”

With a thought from Gao Gong, the Electronic Eye in his left eye popped out from its socket, landing on his finger. With a squeeze, a slight spark emerged with a whiff of smoke from between his fingers.

”Such human behavior surprises me, Minister Gao.”

”Watch more human absurd behavior commentaries, and you’ll get used to it.”

Gao Gong thought to himself, I don’t want my mind to be constantly looping ’Namshabu’ like a horror loop, its terror level is close to Tang Monk chanting scriptures.

With a thought, Gao Gong logged into an alternate account on the forum and posted a message—’There’s a rare mission, Turing Cultists should contact me.’

He then switched to his main account and pinned it using the administrator account.

The forum was still lively, and soon a group of counterfeits flocked over.

’I’ll contact first, I’ll contact first’

’Why was the OP’s post pinned by the admin, there’s something fishy!’

’Last night, the OP silently crawled into the admin’s bed, with shy and coy eyes, the thin clothes on their body becoming less and less, finally revealing a beautiful body... (5000 words omitted here)’

’Omit what? Write it out for me!’

’Is the OP female? Let’s be friends!’

’The OP is male’

’Whoa, then it must be pinned!’

...

Sometimes, looking at these silly nonsense can be quite amusing.

Soon, Miss Ke’s voice sounded again.

”Minister, the two section heads have arrived.”

Gao Gong looked up to see two seemingly ordinary middle-aged men appear at the doorway. They were silent upon seeing him and bowed slightly.

The divisions within the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division are structured as ’Ten Shells, Ten Divisions’. ’Shells’ refer to sections, notably ten sections, mainly responsible for intelligence investigation, analysis, and search, possessing numerous business investigators and spies under their command.

As for ’Division’, it’s ten mobile divisions, with the heads of each called ’Team Leaders’, and Yagami Suuji is the team leader of the First Mobile Division.

Gao Gong’s faking of death offended all the ’Mobile Division’ members, but it seemed to not affect the people of the ten sections.

At least when Gao Gong inquired about the Xiao Family’s matters, the Section 4 head earnestly reported a series of recent events concerning the Xiao Family without insincerity.

Notably, the Fourth Section is known as the ’Organization Investigation Section’, investigating large families, private clubs, investment clubs, and hired gangs within their scope.

”...A month ago, there was a riot in the Xiao Family’s prison, and the clan convicts ’Xiao Nian’, ’Xiao Heitong’ escaped.”

”25 days ago, there was military unrest at the Xiao Family’s stronghold, the Ocean Fortress.”

”And we gathered some conversations among the Xiao Family’s high-level...”

Gao Gong signaled to play the audio.

’Did that kid really escape like that?’

’Yeah, who would have believed it, he was the family’s most gifted genius.’

’Apparently the clan leader wants to strip the ’Omen Machine’ from him.’

’Is it necessary? To drive away such a genius for something like that?’

’You don’t understand, Xiao Yu was injured, sustaining irreparable damage, and the clan leader had no choice but to employ such desperate measures. It’s said that another ’Xiao Yu’ has already been cloned but was unfortunately discovered by that kid ahead of time, who killed the clone while making off with many family treasures.’

’So what do we do now?’

’The kid won’t get far. The clan leader is mobilizing the Legion, preparing to capture him.’

’Zz’ ’Zz’ ’Zz’ ——

This audio segment ended.

There are other indirect pieces of evidence, all suggesting that this was an internal conflict within the Xiao Family.

In Gao Gong’s view, the most interesting thing is that Xiao Yuanjun and Xiao Yu are actually both ’Memory Mother’ infected, and these two infected ended up killing each other.

This at least indicates one thing: that the Memory Mother has not yet entered the ’Conscious Stage’.

The infected have their own consciousness, their own interests, and do not care about each other’s identity.

”A symp’s self-destruction,” Gao Gong concluded.

”Chief of the 6th Division, tell me about your investigation.”

The full name of the 6th Division is the ’Data Crime Department’. As the name implies, ’Big Data Conceptual Bodies’ are also within their scope of investigation.

In fact, in the history of the ’Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division’, several generations of ’Big Data Conceptual Bodies’ caused trouble, and they were the ones who suppressed them.

Just like when Xiuyue suppressed Eliza, without his interference, maybe it would have succeeded.

”How long will it take to track ’Xiao Yu’s’ whereabouts?”

”Half a month,” the chief of the 4th Division replied with certainty.

Looking at the chief of the 6th Division, Gao Gong pondered for a moment and said, ”Confirm the coordinates of the remaining Big Data Conceptual Bodies, and simultaneously, notify the other Big Data Conceptual Bodies in secret in the name of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.”

”What exactly should be said?”

”No need to say much, just send four words: Be wary of Turing.”

The chief of the 6th Division nodded, showing no desire for insight on his silent face.

The Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division is a giant, and only when you truly grasp its power can you feel how terrifying it is.

...

The efficiency of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division is also very high. Very soon, through various secret channels, the four words ’Be wary of Turing’ were delivered to the ears of most Big Data Conceptual Bodies.

In the fragmented Cyber Space, the Sea of Data had long been drained, but at the bottom of the sea, where the silt accumulates, there were still countless barrel-sized pipes, like an endless ball of snakes slowly creeping.

One of the pipes suddenly sucked in, and a phantom data human figure was absorbed into it, unable to even scream, disappearing instantly.

...

And on the Black and White River separating the Deep Net and the Other Shore of Freedom, a virtual bridge appeared, known as the ’Deep Web Bridge’.

Very few people know that everyone entering the Mother City must pass this virtual bridge and leave their identity imprint.

And if this ’Big Data Conceptual Body’ does not guide you, what you face is not the Mother City, but rather a planet-level firewall.

”I understand, thank you for the kindness of the Minister of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, I will be cautious.”

A steady male voice came from the bridge.

...

”Does our little cutie mean we will face risks?”

In a bizarre red-light district, the ten-meter-tall Sensory Queen, while enjoying the spectacle of men and women copulating, spoke nonchalantly. A black cat with a human head perched on her voluptuous thighs, its head constantly changing, finally freezing into the form of the Rich Lady Love Prototype.

The Sensory Queen, while stroking ’someone’s’ small head, laughed charmingly and said, ”I understand, thank that little cutie for me.”

”However, we have signed our names on the Golden Rule, and the Fortress will protect us. Convey this message back to my little cutie.”

After the messenger left, a hint of worry appeared on the Sensory Queen’s fair face.

”Could it be, as Eliza said, that an eternally unupdated version, an eternal lifespan, is merely bait? If betrayed by the Fortress, no matter where we hide, we cannot evade our pursuers; in my dreams, I saw the bright-eyed go blind, pipes shatter, bridges collapse, and data devoured by a giant maw. Are these omens real?”

...

Meanwhile, in Database 0, Eliza, having somehow succeeded in slimming down and appearing quite charming, gazed at the dark sky, talking to herself.

”Time is up; we should leave here.”

Opposite her, a huge white coffin suddenly shook a few times.

”I know you’re not full yet, but my little crawler informed me that information about the ’Punk Clan’ has already appeared on the Virtual Level. If we don’t leave quickly, once that person comes to reclaim his body, we will find it hard to escape.”

The coffin shook a few more times.

”You say you want to meet your little brother, but that’s not possible; I need to take you to meet someone else, someone you are very familiar with, or rather, more familiar with than anyone else.”

The coffin stopped moving; obviously, Gox did not want to meet that person.

Eliza tenderly patted the coffin.

”Just for me, okay? You know I’ve always had a longing, and only she can help me achieve it.”

The coffin lightly shook, begrudgingly agreeing.

In the darkness, traces of electronic viruses seemed to appear again, and the coffin shot out suddenly, diving into the dark, and soon, the sound of loud chewing could be heard.

”Alright, I’ll take that as your agreement.”

Other Big Data Conceptual Bodies, after receiving the ’reminder’, had their own plans; some didn’t care, some couldn’t find it, and some even intended to tidy up that underground cult leader.

Turing, just hearing the name sounds ominous.
