Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 737: Chapter 262: Soulless

Skull Society is a special organization.

Their distinctiveness lies in their complete acceptance of the worldview of the Cyber Test Field—experimenting, evolving, controlling, losing control.

Most corporate executives merely utilize others, experiment on others, whereas the members of Skull Society often experiment on themselves, modifying themselves first.

Life, in their eyes, is dispensable.

Humanity, almost nonexistent.

Thus, under the suppression of a group of super corporations, they not only survived but established the Skull Society, starting to conspire against the world ruled by the super corporations.

In the later stages of the Planet Plot, they indeed succeeded, but only with the help of the Memory Mother.

The members of Skull Society do not recognize whether you are the Planet Host or a Cosmic Monster; whoever evolves faster, they will acknowledge.

In a way, the Mother City was also hoist by its own petard; it created a group of corporate monsters but in the end, it could not control them.

At this point in time, the members of Skull Society were not as inflated as in the later stages; but they were already beginning to emerge, for instance, ’Soul Recognition Technology’ had already made it into the second stage of the Corporate War.

This time’s Skull Society meeting was convened by ’Skull,’ the founder of ’Soul Recognition Technology.’

The founders of Mas Sharpness, Deep Sea Biotechnology, Dark Realm, Metal Slug, and Fairy Tale Land all projected in attendance.

”Haha, I didn’t expect you, Skull, to have a day where you ask us for help. Promise me one thing: become my toy and I will help you, how about it?”

The founder of Fairy Tale Land, Bandai, chuckled.

On the surface, he’s a kind-hearted big fat man, but his body bore various suture scars.

”You already have enough toys,” ’Skull’ said coldly, ”For example, the little bear you sold to Ms. Ye was your opening move, wasn’t it.”

”Boss Ma, what do you say, after all, your Mas Sharpness is a partner of Du Gao Technology, if I recall correctly, you once tried to bring ’Du Gao Technology’ into our Skull Society, right?” A black shadow turned its head to look at ’Boss Ma.’

”Hehe, how could I forget, but I’ve already withdrawn the application. I’ve dealt with those two bosses, they are not of the same kind as us,” ’Boss Ma’ said with a smile.

”But their development is far better than ours,” said Metal Slug’s ’General’ calmly.

Speaking of this, the members of Skull Society have some inexplicable feelings.

They have ’progressed’ very quickly, even conducting various forbidden modifications for ’progress,’ cutting their own consciousness, absorbing ’scientists’ brains, and unrestricted self-biomimicry.

The ’founders’ here, some have ’reformulated consciousnesses’ of unknown generations, some have forgotten their original names, some have even lost their true bodies, directly merging with the ’Corporate Will.’

It can be said, for corporate evolution, they fear nothing.

Yet even so, they still can’t surpass ’Du Gao Technology.’

This is a company even younger than them, now being the brightest jewel in the military market.

’The General’ felt this most deeply because his Metal Slug was also a military contractor, but in terms of fame and strength, it had been left far behind by the other party.

Emerging talents and overshadowing others.

Everyone present feels a bit of this sentiment.

If Gao Gong knew these ’corporate monsters’ thought this way, he would feel a touch of honor.

After all, not everyone is familiar with the plot, not everyone has an Alliance Panel.

More importantly, Gao Gong’s insights and experience from the past played a crucial role.

Without him, who knows that modifying military machines from ancient times could transform into the mech tactics now sweeping the battlefield.

As for the Super Transformation of the Fusion Route, it’s a craft Person G sneaked to learn from the most powerful Level 9 Civilization in the universe, going utterly beyond the syllabus.

”Do they know that your Mas Sharpness is secretly conducting human weapon experiments, including their Biological Hunters?” The black shadow continued to target ’Boss Ma.’

”There’s no need to notify our partners about everything,” ’Boss Ma’ said with a smile, ”After all, they haven’t shared their trade secrets with me.”

’Skull’ tapped the table, his voice icy:

”How come I don’t remember Skull Society becoming so bureaucratic and sluggish? My purpose is clear; I need help.”

”How much benefit are you planning to give us?” asked the shadow.

”Ten thousand souls for each person!”

”Not enough,” said ’General.’

”Yes, not even enough as a snack,” the Deep Sea Biotechnology’s holographic projection seemed to not be in any room, but in the deep sea, it was a massive shadow.

”I remember you needing an immense amount of ’information food’ to maintain your physique, fatso?” ’Skull’ said coldly.

”It used to be like that, but recently, I found a very excellent food provider,” a huge crimson-yellow eyeball filled the projection and quickly retreated.

”Twelve thousand souls, that’s my limit. You should know, a living person cannot produce a single soul.”

The other members of Skull Society began to ponder, after all, they were aware of the value of a ’soul.’

”Okay.”

”No problem.”

”I’m in.”

”I’m out.”

Everyone’s eyes turned to ’Boss Ma’, who had no intention of explaining and simply said with a smile:

”I won’t participate in this deal, we’ll meet next time.”

The next moment, his holographic projection disappeared.

”He’s not someone who would back down easily,” ’General’ stated matter-of-factly, ”so I think he’s planning something bigger.”

’Skull’ looked at the founder of Fairy Tale Land, who hadn’t spoken just now.

”I have some unfortunate news to tell you,” Bandai said softly, ”my toys just informed me that the hired armies of the Research Association, Confidential Electronics, and Planet Energy are already attacking your side of the Mechanical City.”

’So fast!’

This was the common thought among Skull Society members.

The next moment, ’Skull’s projection vanished.

”Confidential Electronics and Planet Energy are giants in their respective fields, how could they surrender so quickly?”

Both are super corporations, even considered among the potential winners of the Electronic Brain War, and not only did they surrender, they did so swiftly, becoming vassals of the Research Association in less than three days since the ’Splendid Scenery’ occurred, which is indeed baffling.

In their view, these two joining forces to resist the Research Association seemed more likely than what is happening now.

The Black Shadow said nothing, but moved a finger and unfolded a series of surveillance images.

In the images, the sky darkened, with all kinds of flying devices, Sky Fortresses, Sky Carriers, drones, Mechanical Bees, Mechanical Octopuses, densely covering the entire sky, darker than the radiation layer.

”We always overlooked one point, which is that the Research Association is not a single company, but a federation of 30 companies, merely overshadowed by Mr. G’s immense power, causing others to neglect these companies, and at a stage where weapons and ammunition are only at 30%, 40%, these ’ordinary companies’ remain in peak state.”

’General’ objectively analyzed.

In the images, countless light spots suddenly shot towards the dark sky, but almost simultaneously, more ’stars’ emerged from the sky, the ground, and soon, the light spots vanished.

”I remember, your ’Assassin Type IV’ can simultaneously break through ten anti-missile mechanisms?” the Black Shadow asked.

”But these are not ten, they’re at least a hundred,” ’General’ stated coldly, ”and the number of missiles from the other side is a hundred times that of ’Skull’.”

After the first counterattack failed, soon, numerous virtual illusions appeared across various continents, causing many flying devices to suffer downtime and crash on the spot.

”Ten thousand ’advanced local area networks’, ’Skull’ is really putting in the big bucks this time.”

Soon, two fleets emerged in the sky.

The first was truly extravagant, composed of 20 Sky Carriers and 20 Mechanical Fortresses, after their appearance, the light connected into one piece again; these lights resembled a mist, and wherever the mist went, all material existence was destroyed, including hardware hidden everywhere by ’Soul Recognition Technology.’

As the Cyber Space began integrating into reality, with the Electronic Brain Plan not yet fully launched, any virtual level attack requires hardware support, but they even saw a colossal ’Military Base’ last only 3 seconds before disappearing in the light mist.

Gaseous laser fog, a form of Tier 3 Civilization Architecture, also a form of attack against Interstellar Fortresses in Interstellar Wars.

Even Interstellar Fortresses might not withstand it, let alone just a Military Base.

And seeing ’Planet Energy’ flare up, the other ’Confidential Electronics’ was not to be outdone, its flying devices were quite unique, with ’graphics cards’ all over the surface, quite flashy, and their attack was also unique, emitting powerful searchlights from the ’flying devices’, this light was not a laser weapon, not even a weapon, but beams of high-density data streams.

Whenever there’s resistance, they shone the ’light’ over, whether it be weapon systems or those ’virtual skulls’, anything touched would explode after a few hits, some exploded were chips in the weapon systems, others were virtual monsters created by ’Soul Recognition Technology.’

No one knows where the light shone, but the Skull Society’s meeting channel exploded directly, making it impossible for anyone to communicate for a short time.

From Gao Gong’s perspective, this thing has already shown signs of being an ’information weapon’, though still quite rough, merely using ’high-intensity information streams’ to blow up all hardware, not yet developing other ways to play.

But just creating ’high-intensity information streams’, at least on this planet, no one plays it this well.

”So, Mr. G, how do you find our little trick interesting?”

A bald man filled with graphics cards chuckled.

And next to him, Manhattan snorted coldly, clearly not wanting to deal with the other party.

As they say, speed is the essence of war, Gao Gong even temporarily stopped doing Hell-level Tasks, just to wipe out this Skull Society member first, then finish this Corporate War.

Giant Corporations can compromise, but Skull Society members absolutely cannot, if they did compromise, they wouldn’t be those monsters.

The reason Confidential Electronics and Planet Energy surrendered so quickly is because Gao Gong leaked a secret to them.

That is, someone is about to become the ’Minister of Shell Mobile Division.’

As a department specifically targeting Giant Corporations, Gao Gong amiably expressed that if they don’t cooperate with him, once that person becomes a minister, he’ll inspect them three times a day, big inspections, small inspections, fire safety checks in the middle of the night, and inspect them to death!

Each super giant has people in the Mother City, upon inquiring a little bit, they immediately chose cooperation happily, without any reluctance.

This is also why the three acted so quickly.

When you have enough military strength, and it’s mobilized quickly enough, the benefits are huge, with over a dozen Mechanical Cities controlled by ’Soul Recognition Technology’ quickly flipped over in half, and some Forbidden Technologies eradicated before being used on a large scale.

Today’s Skull Society members are not yet those true monsters after the Cyber Tide launched, compared to the old hands of Giant Corporations, they still seem a bit raw.

”It’s about time to completely resolve the opponent.”
