Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 718: Chapter 243: Northern Hemisphere Overlord

”Avalanche?”

Paradise Bird caught the disc with a flip, scrutinizing it up and down.

”Is there anything wrong with this software?”

”Hard to say if there’s anything wrong.”

Cyber hackers have developed countless bizarre things.

But the ’name’ indeed seems a bit odd.

It easily reminds one of that dangerous information weapon from the ’Destruction Form Contest.’

If someone is spreading it in secret, that’s troublesome.

Paradise Bird shot a sidelong glance at Ahong, the implication was clear, this thing came from your territory, and you have no idea?

Ahong’s knees went weak; he most loved lolis and feared queenly women, especially senior sisters, forcing a smile as he said:

”So many hackers, who knows who was the first to spread it, but I agreed with them not to distribute ’electronic viruses.’

”If it really is an ’electronic virus,’ my bar will expel him.”

Under Gao Gong’s guidance, Ahong inherited an ’ancient database,’ which has a function for ’electronic scanning.’

If it’s truly an electronic virus, it’s highly likely to be detected.

”So it’s really some kind of pleasure software?”

Following Gao Gong’s gesture, the male secretary quickly brought in an old projector.

Ahong inserted the disc and played it.

All four present, even Ahong, who had the lowest hacker level, were managers of a ’database,’ naturally not worried about the danger of this thing.

Unexpectedly, as the play button was pressed, the screen made a ’buzzing’ sound, showing only large amounts of ’white snow dots.’

No inappropriate content, and nothing uplifting.

”Huh?”

Paradise Bird was the first to notice something amiss.

”It’s deleting my memory.”

”Deleting what memory?” Gao Gong asked.

”The memory of watching this screen, meaning if I were hit, I would keep watching.”

In the hacker profession, no one knows themselves better than their peers.

”If you continue watching, it’s highly likely other memories will also be deleted.”

”So this is a ’deletion software’ packaged as ’pleasure software’?”

Gao Gong glanced at the time; ten minutes had already passed.

But just now, Gao Gong felt as if only ’three or four seconds’ had passed.

Of course, that was without Gao Gong actively resisting.

As Paradise Bird snorted coldly, a flash of red light flickered across her body.

In the next moment, raging fires ignited on the snowy screen, turning the code into charred remnants, and then a loud explosion sounded, shattering the entire screen.

”Have you found anything?” Gao Gong asked.

”This code structure isn’t difficult to break; give me a day, and I’ll identify the culprit.”

Gao Gong nodded.

As long as it’s not the real ’Avalanche,’ it’s fine.

But the ’memory loss’ did remind Gao Gong of some bad things.

The ’memory loss’ wave in the Cyber Wave.

Tier 5 Information Monster, the Memory Mother secretes a large number of ’memory ants,’ spreading globally, feeding on memories.

Causing global ’memory loss incidents.’

Quite vexing.

Hopefully, the two are not connected.

Gao Gong looked at Gao Yuanyuan and said, ”Take it out.”

”Take out what, brother?” Gao Yuanyuan blinked her big eyes innocently.

Gao Gong snorted.

”You used my ’biological computer’ for ’data recovery,’ did you think I didn’t know.”

”Hehe, just teasing brother.”

Gao Yuanyuan’s eyes instantly turned white as if a portal of light appeared.

The sound of a door closing echoed.

Only then did Paradise Bird and Ahong realize that at some point, they had been pulled into a hospital.

”This kind of ability—”

Paradise Bird’s expression changed.

As for Ahong, he looked at the hospital sign, feeling an inexplicable sense of awe.

At this moment, a middle-aged pervert with gold-rimmed glasses appeared.

This pervert had a nameplate with ’Dean’ on his chest and looked strikingly similar to Person G.

Gao Gong felt an egg pain.

Ancient Information ’Dean’

Ancient Information ’Ward’

With control over two high-tier pieces of information, Gao Yuanyuan, in a certain sense, mastered the power of ’rules.’

’Dean G’ led the way, guiding the four to a ward door.

Opening the door, an elderly man with severe injuries sat on the bed, expressionless.

”Xuanyuan X!”

Paradise Bird and Ahong were shocked.

The elderly man wrapped in bandages before them was one of the three Electronic Ascenders, the last National Preceptor of the Great Xia Empire, the Leader of the West Lin Void Mechanism Faction, Xuanyuan X.

”Wasn’t he dead?!” Paradise Bird exclaimed in shock.

Gao Yuanyuan did not answer but looked at Gao Gong, ”When did you find out that I had saved him, brother?”

”Back when ’war’ borrowed the Planet Host’s Authority to blow up this old fellow’s nine data clouds,” Gao Gong paused, ”at that time, you went missing for a while, and I guessed that you most likely had a Saint’s heart attack and went to rescue him.”

”Hmph!” Gao Yuanyuan wrinkled her small nose, displeased with the term ”Saint Heart.”

Gao Gong refreshed the screen once.

Name: Xuanyuan X (Seriously Injured) (Information Locked)

Total Level: 87

Profession: Hacker Leader, Virtual Mechanism Controller, Mechanical Party Member

Life Value: 1151/140,000

Information Energy: 13 million

Skills: Hacker Empire (Tier 2 - Master), Virtual Mechanism (Tier 2 - Master)...

Template: Imperial Tutor (Canceled), Half-Mechanical Leader, Void Mechanic Tutor, Shipboard Master

Previously, even with Mother City permissions, Gao Gong couldn’t reveal the opponent’s attributes.

But now, with a simple scan, everything was laid bare.

’Tsk tsk, level 87, this is quite a privilege.’

The upper limit of a Planet Civilization is level 60; beyond that, it can’t be upgraded.

However, as a Tier 3 large information construct, the ”Planet Host” has the ability to bestow ”Favored” the capability to upgrade.

But once Xuanyuan X lost the ”GM” permissions, he became ”Information Locked,” meaning he couldn’t level up anymore.

Apart from that, the four boss panels made Gao Gong stare for quite a while.

No wonder he’s the ”Grandmaster” of the Ancient Empire, second only to one person, lording over countless others. He actually had four boss panels, each one with absurd strength increases.

It’s a pity the Empire has fallen; one of the boss panels became utterly useless.

Gao Gong stared enviously for a while before finally looking away.

The two hackers present were more shocked than delighted.

”He’s not dead?” Ahong swallowed and asked.

”No, but he probably doesn’t remember anything,” Gao Gong shook his head.

”War,” as the main host of the Ancient Empire, must have some grudge with this person. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have struck him down the moment it ascended as the ”Planet Host.”

After all, as a ”Ghost Host,” it has limited opportunities to act in reality.

Nine data clouds were all wiped out.

Truly too tragic.

”How much power does he still have?” Paradise Bird’s eyes lit up as he asked.

This time, without consulting Gao Yuanyuan, Gao Gong already knew the answer.

After all, nothing is as direct as a ”panel.”

Gao Gong rubbed his chin, pondered for a moment, and said: ”If there’s no major accident, once he recovers, he’d probably match ’Ye the Big Lolita’ who completed the Electronic Brain Plan.”

Even Gao Yuanyuan was surprised to hear this, not expecting her brother to give such a high evaluation.

Gao Gong rolled his eyes.

What are you thinking? The man is level 87. Even though he was struck down from the state of ”Electronic Ascension,” just the level boost alone is an exaggerated number.

Paradise Bird was delighted; he had witnessed the power of that figure from the Holy Brain Group and said, ”So we have yet another trustworthy ally?”

Gao Gong nodded.

He had always instructed Paradise Bird to secretly plan a team.

The members of this team must all be trustworthy hackers.

The target was clear: to bring down Arasaka Tower.

Now, with this wise elder at hand, the selection pool widened considerably.

At least, some famous yet dubious hackers could be excluded from the choices.

The reason for all this planning was simple.

The fall of Arasaka Tower, as a ”symbolic event,” signified the descent of the ”Cyber Tide.”

If this task is completed.

The rewards are bound to be immense, potentially even achieving the ”modify historical line” feat.

From Paradise Bird’s viewpoint, it’s even simpler.

Cyber hackers naturally harbor animosity towards super corporations.

...

Three days later—

In the Northern Hemisphere, with the last Mechanical City under the control of the Eternal Life Conglomerate conquered,

the voice of the Mother City rang out.

”Eternal Life Conglomerate’s ’artificial data’ is insufficient, automatically disqualifying from the ’Electronic Brain Plan.’

”Upon judgment, ’Holy Brain Group’ has acquired 50.4% of artificial data in the Northern Hemisphere, thereby automatically winning.”

”Artificial data integrating, resources integrating, ’Holy Brain Group,’ the ’Biological Brain Machine Plan’ will be the sole plan for the ’Northern Hemisphere,’ approval granted.”

”Holy Brain Group gains offensive privileges.”

The so-called offensive privileges are the qualification to participate in the third stage.

With this qualification, the Holy Brain Group can cross the dividing line between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres to attack the super corporations in the Southern Hemisphere.

Conversely, the ”Electronic Brain Plan participants” in the Southern Hemisphere cannot launch a counterattack across hemispheres.

Because the Southern Hemisphere’s ”Corporate War” is not yet over.

Based on analyses of past Corporate Wars, players who first gain entry to the third stage have a 78.6% probability of becoming the true victors of the Corporate War.

Upon hearing these ”electronic mechanical sounds,” whether it was Ye the Big Lolita or the members of Du Gao Technology in combat, they all smiled.

”We won!!”

Large mechas were like a tide, shouting, roaring.

And Ye the Big Lolita, whose presence was now at least five times stronger than before, floated in the air, watching the awe-inspiring scene, her smile tinged with an inexplicable meaning.

This electronic sound was not just for the Holy Brain Group; all the ”upper management” heard this bad news.

Gao Gong’s ears caught two more messages.

”As a mercenary force, your Du Gao Group, which assisted the Holy Brain Group in completing the Northern Hemisphere’s ’Electronic Brain Plan,’ has enhanced Du Gao Group’s underwriting priority.”

”You have earned 50,000 Mother City Trading Points.”
