Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 720: Chapter 245: Brain-Machine War

The existence of a high-tier informational creature is disgusting because it’s like it has mastered the ’Absorption Skill’.

As long as its tier is high enough, then everything belongs to it.

Kinetic energy weapons are information, energy weapons are information, human brain thoughts are information, artificial intelligence is information, and even physical rules are information.

It is said that a Tier 9 informational monster can be so powerful that it can modify ’Creation Parameters’—the so-called creation data, which is the singularity parameters of the Big Bang.

Fortunately, in the previous life, Gao Gong had never heard of a ’Tier 9 Informational Creature’ anywhere.

Only by building an ’Information Security House’ can we isolate the opponent’s pervasive information infiltration.

Moreover, the only material on this planet that can build a ’Safe House’ truly comes from the ’firewalls’ of the three Planet Hosts.

This means that Gao Gong must simultaneously fight against the bosses of two factions.

The Tier 3 Hell-level task of the ’Newbie Village’ is this against the heavens!

The planning of this game—if there really is one—at least must be a Level 10 idiot.

And no one believes that the ’Memory Mother’ would be so terrifying.

Not to mention others, even Gao Gong himself would not believe such a monster would appear in the Newbie Village if he hadn’t crossed over.

So, for his own people, the reason he gave was—

He was making trouble in the Southern Hemisphere, while his own people were supporting the ’Holy Brain Group’ to quickly break through the third stage.

As for the ’Virtual Helmet’, it’s just an excuse to participate in the ’Electronic Brain Plan’.

Now, this reason is somewhat standing on shaky ground.

”We are on the same side,” Ye the Big Lolita began to play the emotional card, ”There’s no need to use balanced tactics against our own.”

”The Holy Brain Group is also part of you now, what’s the benefit of helping them?”

Gao Gong snorted and said:

”Then talk about it after you have fully grasped the Holy Brain Group, don’t forget, some of the old guys in your group are very displeased with you.”

”I’ll deal with them!”

The meeting with President Ye ended on a sour note.

Soon, the communicator rang again, still a secure channel, and Gao Gong helplessly connected it, as a huge mechanical head wrapped in face armor approached.

”What are you doing!!” Gao Gong was startled.

This head was so big that the ’holographic face’ almost filled the entire room.

And the ’big guy’ was completely unaware of its own size and kept trying to push forward.

”Boss, I heard you bullied Little Ye Ye? You can’t bully her!” Xiao Yu said seriously.

”Sure sure sure.”

”Hehe, boss, look!”

The ’Doomsday Black Emperor’ began to back away, revealing a body over ten meters tall, with several connection lines coming out from her belly, plugged into Xiao Yu’s normal mechanical body.

And this short-haired girl seemed to be asleep, though still lifeless, she was breathing.

”You guys are pretty efficient,” Gao Gong said in surprise, ”How did you develop the ancient Top technology so quickly?”

This technology originated from the ancient empire, it was not just mecha piloting technology but man and armor joint combat technology.

This technology has a unique advantage, it can fully play out the combat power of two mechanical bodies—provided that both of your mechanical bodies are strong enough.

”I feel like I will recover soon, then, I will no longer be Xiao Yu, but Doomsday Black Armor Xiao Yu!”

The girl indeed had a carefree mind, after a few words, she started talking about something else.

Her communicator was soon snatched by someone else.

”Boss!”

The urban White Bone Spirit Qin Zhenzi, with ultra-long black silk legs, came online, smiling coquettishly.

”If you help your own people, I can consider giving you my private photo album.”

”Really? What level? Ahem, I’m not that kind of person!”

Gao Gong resolutely refused.

Then, his cheap disciple, the Female Mechanic Helli Wilde also approached, her face serious as she said:

”Old man, in this battle, we lost many comrades, you have to live up to them!”

Soon, the communicator was snatched away by the Little Woman, this old acquaintance was more straightforward, directly complaining:

”What the hell are you doing, you’re our big boss, helping outsiders not your own, is your brain fried? If the Holy Brain Group wins, don’t we also win, what’s the point of helping outsiders, I swear I’ll poke your eyeballs out!”

The communicator was again taken by General Quel, this bald female general said seriously:

”Cap, give me the coordinates of the 30 Federation bases, and I promise to deal with them within a day.”

...

In the ’Cyber Realm’, the NPCs are quite intelligent, even smarter than the players, if you can’t convince them with enough reason, they might not be willing to listen to you, especially after the ’Super War’, everyone has sacrificed a lot, now is the time with high momentum, ready to sweep through the planet, and at this critical juncture, some idiot suddenly jumps out and says, shall we just stop fighting here.

If that idiot wasn’t their own leader, Gao Gong could guarantee that these guys would beat him until he proves it.

”Tsk tsk, Ye the Big Lolita has gotten smarter too, knows to play the friendship card when the tough one doesn’t work.”

Gao Gong clicked his tongue in wonder, this was indeed a bit hard to handle, forcibly suppressing would hurt reputation.

But you have to tell them, in the not-too-distant future, probably in less than half a year, a super cosmic monster will invade this planet, and all three planet hosts will experience downtime. Who could believe this?

Furthermore, he couldn’t say it so directly. He was now one hundred percent sure that the ’Memory Mother’ had entered some sort of gestation mode, and he was a part of the ’placenta’.

If he said it outright, he would definitely be discovered by the other side, and then it would be over for him.

So, even to Du Zhaodi, he could only say that there is a very perilous crisis in the near future, and only he could resolve it.

Finally, Director Du came online. It had been a while since they last met, and Director Du’s hair had grown a bit, from chin-length short hair to collarbone length, and her bangs had grown too, covering a lot of the sharpness on her face.

After all, no matter how beautiful the features, paired with the aura of a head teacher, it would still be a bit intimidating.

Now it was just right.

Seeing Gao Gong’s helpless expression, Du Zhaodi smiled slightly.

”They sent me. They said you’re afraid of your wife, and only I can convince you.”

”Hmph, they sure know how to pick their battles,” Gao Gong said, stiff-necked, ”Me, Person G, afraid of anyone in this lifetime!”

”What about me?”

Gao Gong changed his tone and said, ”Well, of course, you can.”

He paused for a moment:

”So, will you persuade me?”

Du Zhaodi shook her head, ”I won’t.”

Gao Gong’s eyes lit up:

”So, you believe in that planetary crisis I talked about.”

Du Zhaodi nodded and then shook her head.

”I don’t know what will happen in the future, I just believe in you.”

A warm current surged in Gao Gong’s heart. As expected of a good rich lady from the Gu family, she even took care of her little wolfdog’s feelings.

”Don’t worry, in just half a year, those foolish women will thank me for everything I’ve done today.”

”Hmm, stay safe, eat well every day...”

Like Du Zhaodi’s personality, her words of comfort were plain and unobtrusive.

The two chatted on the phone for a while longer before Gao Gong reluctantly hung up.

This is the advantage of having a rich lady; not only can she support you, but she can also comfort you at critical moments, unlike a young girl who would just ask for candy every now and then and wouldn’t care.

...

With Director Du presiding, there would be no issue in his camp, and the only thing Gao Gong had to do now was stall.

Stall until the few giant enterprises of the Southern Hemisphere couldn’t hold on and had to negotiate.

This sounds difficult but also easy, because at this time point, anyone with a bit of ambition would be losing their mind.

He’s not attacking others, at least he can protect his own ’Peaceful Neutral Organization’, right?

And as expected by Gao Gong.

The very next day, alarms blared as the 30 companies belonging to the ’Research Association’, which controlled hundreds of Mechanical Cities, were simultaneously attacked, and the servers at their headquarters were almost burning up.

The Joint Operations Center was bustling, with network warfare deployments, special forces dispatches, and counterattack operations.

If the chairman isn’t reliable, then he had to stand by himself.

The 30 companies involved in the ’Electronic Brain Plan’, each had one or two tricks up their sleeves, and combined, they had quite a few deep-rooted techniques.

Thanks to someone’s dimensional reduction strike, this loose corporate alliance was forcibly shaped.

And due to external pressure, these ’members’ were unusually united without infighting, revealing all their skills.

That’s also why the ’Research Association’ could become one of the five ’Third Phase Candidates’ in the Southern Hemisphere.

Constantly, stretchers carried out from the operations room held Neural Encoders, and the Network Implantation Chambers emitted black smoke, even including Tier 2 Database Manipulators.

This indicated the opponent’s virtual firepower was quite strong.

Database Manipulators are a Tier 2 profession.

Level 10 Neural Encoders, Level 20 experienced Neural Encoders.

After the Second Transformation, this career path splits into two branches—

One is ’Database Manipulator’, capable of leveraging the power of the corporate data centers to counterattack in virtual space, very able to stack buffs, great at team battles, control master.

The other is ’AI Mentor’, which involves making oneself ’artificial intelligented’, gaining significant increases in intelligence and perception.

These two professions are on par with the Cyber Hacker’s ’King of Hackers’.

Basically, every super corporation would keep these network experts, otherwise relying solely on AI, it would be easy to suffer backlash.

And now, walking along, Gao Gong had already seen at least four ’Database Manipulators’ being carried out.

These ’Database Manipulators with white eyes’, temples were ’hissing’, not sure what artificial brainware had been burned.

”With such intense fighting and all mechanical cities are under comprehensive threat, does this mean that more than one company is attacking the Research Association?”

Gao Gong mused to himself.

”Even though I don’t participate in corporate wars, as the Chairman, protecting my own members is reasonable; after all, Master G is kind-hearted and can’t bear to see people suffer.”

With this thought, Gao Gong immediately switched to ’Virtual Mode’ and logged into his biological computer.
