Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 730: Chapter 255: New Minister of Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division

Even the normally approachable Deep Net remained silent.

The last person who dared to negotiate with the Mother City—there’s no such person in their database.

Gao Gong saw the awkward pause and smiled, saying, ”On this planet, there’s a saying that danger equals opportunity, and high danger means high technology. I believe the three of you understand this principle.”

”But your kind of danger might destroy the entire experiment!”

”Well, you can stop it, can’t you?”

As soon as he said this, all three Planet Hosts fell into a deep silence.

It seems that these three ’risk management’ measures do not include ’Intelligent Particles.’

Otherwise, they would have sealed this technology route long ago.

The so-called ’Intelligent Particles’, or these types of microscopic weapons, are locked down by sealing off the ’law of microscopic particles,’ directly sealing a technology tree.

And ever since the ’war’ began to create chaos, Gao Gong vaguely understood that the advanced civilization provided few means for ’limiting risk.’

Or perhaps, the higher-ups never intended to limit it at all.

After this little probe, Gao Gong’s confidence grew stronger.

The other side does not have it, but he does!

Finally, Deep Net chuckled softly:

”It seems our Mr. G is also aware that in certain respects, even the Planet Host has great limitations.”

”So, what conditions does Mr. G need to ensure that such a ’danger’ will not descend upon the planet again?”

Gao Gong fell into a thoughtful expression.

From the current perspective, he really had nothing lacking.

Speaking of power, he is the most prominent mercenary group founder on this planet.

In terms of technology, his ’equipment’ is not lacking.

Now the only thing he lacks is the foundational knowledge of the three kinds of civilizations on this planet.

But trading this, would he be discovered by the other party?

Just as Gao Gong was pondering, ’Deep Net’ glanced at the other two.

”If Mr. G does not particularly have anything in mind, here, I have a very good position that can be entrusted to Mr. G. I believe Mr. G will be satisfied.”

Several words suddenly rang in Gao Gong’s ears.

And Gao Gong’s pupils suddenly widened.

Is there really such a good thing?!

...

Ten minutes later

Gao Gong was sent out.

Fortress also left this temporary data space.

The giant data shadow formed by General Cybertron looked somewhat apprehensively at the position of ’Fortress.’

”This old thing is getting more and more closed off, I’m worried he will directly take action against the Destruction Form.”

”He wouldn’t do that, the cost of merging the Cosmic Relics unsuccessfully is not something a small host like him can bear. According to the memorandum of the upper civilization, the natural synthesis of all relics’ sub-bodies has the highest success rate.”

Deep Net lightly chuckled:

”It seems that Mr. G has also seen this point, which is why he dares to negotiate with us, right.”

”Hehe, then you wouldn’t need to give away that important position.”

General Cybertron still unwillingly said, ”Even the Six Ministries have only veto power, not the right to propose.”

”The Planet Host and the Planet Host, the Six Ministries and the Mother City, the Super Corporation and the Mechanical City System, these are the few balances in this Cyber Test Field.”

Deep Net slowly said:

”With a proposition from the former Minister of Shell Mobile Division Aramaki, multiple group leaders signed, nominating Mr. G from Du Gao Group as the new Minister of Shell Mobile Division, this is within the procedure.”

”And we, by going with the flow, can solve a problem, why not.”

General Cybertron snorted coldly, saying:

”Is it that simple? Fortress has always wanted to awaken the ’first Cyber Killer in history’ and propose him as the Minister of Shell Mobile Division, you should be very clear on this.”

”Or say, if the underlying protocol of Cyber Space were still in your hands, you’d be happy to do the same, wouldn’t you?”

However, Deep Net expressed a completely opposite view:

”No, in fact, even if I still managed ’Cyber Space,’ I wouldn’t propose ’Zero.’ His thinking is too dangerous, and I don’t want the Shell Mobile Division to be transformed by him into a second ’Punk Group.’”

”But he is still the strongest ’Cyber Killer,’ this point is something all three of us agree on. In the backup plan, at a necessary juncture, it’s up to him to take action and hunt all the Destruction Forms.”

”Since this is the case, why did you agree to let Mr. G become the Minister of Shell Mobile Division?” Deep Net retorted, ”He has caused you no small trouble.”

The three Planet Hosts meant that it must be a two-to-one vote to pass in the ’Mother City internal.’

Yet just now, Cybertron did not oppose the proposal.

”I absolutely hate this carbon-based little ant that repeatedly provokes me. If the time is right, I will crush it without hesitation!”

The massive mechanical body of Cybertron flickered in and out of view, its hands gripping two satellites, seemingly ready to crush them at any moment.

”But there’s one thing I agree with you on: premature ’ripening’ would only result in backlash, and I’ve come to distrust that old man at the fortress; although that kid is bold and reckless, being a Destruction Form influenced in secret by the highest will of the ’Modifier,’ he won’t go to extremes.”

General Cybertron stood up, and the entire data space seemed about to burst apart. Step by step, he walked into the starry universe.

”I’m going back to deal with those parasitic insects. ’War,’ huh, even among Planet Hosts, there are ranks; it won’t be arrogant for long.”

Suddenly, Cybertron paused, a cruel sense of satisfaction creeping into his tone:

”They still don’t know, all Destruction Forms are offerings. Once the ’Cosmic Relic’ completes its synthesis and the ultimate destruction begins, they all must die!!”

Deep Net remained silent, watching until the other party completely vanished.

...

Gao Gong returned to the headquarters of the Research Association.

Then, he closed his doors to visitors.

Honestly, from the very beginning, Gao Gong had discussed with Director Du to showcase the military might of the Du Gao Group through a ’fewer versus many’ war, aiming to subdue the enemy without fighting.

Everyone, including Gao Gong himself, only anticipated the beginning, not the ending, as an SSS+ level Radiation Tree rose from the ground, shocking everyone.

On a planet teeming with Radiation Beasts, every major power basically has its own biological energy detection device, which is how the levels of Radiation Beasts are categorized; A-Level is a million, S-Level is ten million. S-Level Mutants or Biological Transformers are slightly lower, around five to six million.

Million, ten million, though powerful, they are still under the suppression of the planet’s weapon systems, especially S-Level Mutants, though powerful in ability, have limited blood volume, and can be potentially one-shot in high-intensity battlefields.

According to some biologists’ research, there exists the possibility of an SS-level bloodline on this planet, with power capable of destroying a continent.

Gao Gong proved with facts that he truly could destroy a continent.

This is also why he could suppress this Research Association, with countless members crying out, ”If the gentleman does not issue orders, what can the world do?”

However, that ’Tree of Life Totems’ refreshed the limit once more.

Though it existed for only a few seconds, all biological energy detection institutions recorded numbers not in millions or tens of millions, but in a new unit of measurement, ’billion.’

And not even just one or two billion, but forty billion!

By a stroke of luck, this ’strategic deterrence’ was extraordinarily effective, even a little frighteningly so!

”Compared to the old-era ’nuclear deterrence,’ I prefer to call it ’tree deterrence!’”

”No matter how strong that tree is, the Chairman still has the power to control it.”

”If the Chairman can truly control that tree, we would be invincible!”

”However, it seems that tree is developed by Du Gao Technology, if used against us—”

”New information, confidential electronics and Planet Energy, along with Soul Recognition Technology, have jointly issued us an invitation to talks.”

”But the Chairman sees no visitors!”

...

Gao Gong paid no mind to the outside commotion.

Since his conversation with the three Planet Hosts, he had plunged into a state of both excitement and slight apprehension.

The system panel indicated a +2% change in the historical line, which said everything.

Although becoming a Destruction Form caused more changes to the historical line, in his previous life on the Mechanical Split Star, he had never heard of the term Destruction Form, and had always treated it as a hidden task with no sense of reality.

But the position of ’Minister of Shell Mobile Division’ did indeed surprise him.

He absolutely didn’t expect to become the next Minister of Shell Mobile Division, a role one level below the leader, yet above ten thousand others.

No.

The Six Ministries and the three Mother Cities are different systems.

Even the three Planet Hosts cannot directly control the ’Six Ministries,’ they can only draw ministers into their camp through the identity of the ’Favored.’

The previous Minister of Shell Mobile Division, Aramaki, was the ’Favored’ of the Deep Net.

The other five departments, the ministers of the Memory Supervision Department and the Humanity Experiment Department are the Favored of the Fortress, the minister of the Machine Consciousness Department is the Favored of Cybertron, while the Electronic Network Department and the Prosthetic Registration Department remain neutral.

Therefore, within the Six Ministries, there are still departments not ’controlled’ by the Mother City.

Undoubtedly, Gao Gong’s rise is related to the ’death’ of ’Minister Aramaki’ and surely involves a more complex, likely Mother City-involved, interest game. If it wasn’t for his subtle threats today towards these three, this good fortune probably wouldn’t have come his way.

After all, he is an outsider.

And this position has even more glory than the leader of a Super Corporation.

It also offers easier access to the ’internal data’ of major corporations.

The only slight apprehension is that, in his memory, up until the end, the minister of the Shell Mobile Division was always ’Aramaki.’

And Aramaki’s end was tragic, directly devoured by the Memory Mother, dead beyond dead.

Of course, the people of this planet were miserable too.

Because the Memory Mother’s attack on Mechanical Split Star, this Cyber Test Field, directly triggered a defense retaliation by that advanced civilization, and their means of retaliation was simple: Black Hole Weapon.

To be precise, it was a Cosmic Monument - Black Hole Great Wall.
