So, the two Bird-type Pokemon followed right after it.

When they trailed behind Zapdos and passed through that mirror-like lake surface, in the next second, the scenery around them changed completely.

The original ranch vanished without a trace, replaced by a world filled with deathly silence and desolation!

Many shattered Sky Islands floated in the void, and some of them were covered in lush flowers, grass, and trees.

Where... is this place?

Articuno and Moltres were a bit flustered, because they could feel an extremely powerful presence here!

The owner of that presence was a being far beyond their reach!

Yet Zapdos acted as if it hadn’t sensed anything at all, and kept flying forward.

Articuno and Moltres hurried to catch up.

”Bushi~yi?” (Aren’t you scared?) Articuno asked.

Zapdos glanced at it, then answered, ”Chiu chiu.” (That’s Giratina, Naoki’s friend. It won’t hurt us. This is the road leading to the World Tree. Normally we’re free to pass through.)

Hearing this, Articuno wanted to say something more.

However, a green-glowing exit appeared ahead.

Zapdos: ”Chiu chiu!” (We’re here!)

The two Bird-type Pokemon followed behind Zapdos and passed through that light.

Right after, they arrived in a place filled with birdsong and the fragrance of flowers.

Thick forest, fertile grassland, heavy fruits hanging from the branches, many tender blossoms blooming among the trees, and a lake as clear as a mirror nestled within this beautiful forest.

The sky was reflected on the lake’s surface, golden sunlight filtering through mottled shadows of leaves and spilling into the woods, as if draping the whole forest in a gauzy, dreamlike veil.

Seeing this dreamlike land, Articuno and Moltres were stunned.

Such a rich breath of nature!

What on earth is this place?!

Zapdos turned to look at these two country-bumpkin Bird-type Pokemon, then said, ”Chiu chiu.” (This is the World Tree. It’s the tree Naoki planted for us.)

”Bushi~yi?!” Articuno was shocked.

This tree was actually planted by that human?

Moltres also widened its eyes: ”Ohoh?” (For you? He likes you that much?)

Zapdos: ”...”

It corrected, ”Chiu chiu.” (Not just for me, but for every Pokemon living in this tree.)

If Naoki were willing, Zapdos felt that every Pokemon living on this tree would gladly become his Pokemon.

However, Articuno misunderstood what it meant.

”Bushi~yi?!”

That human treated the Pokemon he’d caught so well...

He actually planted such a perfect giant tree just for them to live in.

With such a rich natural aura, this place was simply paradise for Pokemon!

Articuno and Moltres were incredibly envious.

If only they could too...

At this moment, Zapdos kept flying forward.

Articuno and Moltres followed behind, flying over the forest canopy.

On the way, they really did see some Pokemon below.

There were several Treecko, plus a Venusaur and a Tropius. They were picking Berries in the orchard and loading them onto a Rhyhorn’s back to be transported elsewhere.

Going further, Articuno and Moltres saw a vast field planted with crops.

Blastoise, Milotic, Vaporeon and other Water Type Pokemon were standing in the fields, using Water Gun and other Moves to water the crops.

Moltres, who had once dealt with humans, was utterly stunned.

”Ohoh?!” (These were planted by Naoki too?!)

Zapdos: ”Chiu chiu.” (No, Naoki taught us how to plant them. Everyone can use their own strength to grow crops, pick fruit, and fill their bellies.)

Moltres froze for a moment: ”Ohoh?” (Then does Naoki come over here?)

Zapdos: ”Chiu.” (Naoki said when he’s old he’ll come live here with everyone.)

As they spoke, the three Pokemon passed over the farmland area and officially arrived at the Pokemon Guild.

Here, Moltres and Articuno saw all sorts of Pokemon.

Pikachu, Meowth, Golduck, Ninetales, Wigglytuff, Vileplume, Sandslash, Nidoking...

Some they’d seen before, and many they hadn’t.

These Pokemon were leisurely running back and forth below. Some were running shops in human-style facilities, while others sat on benches by the park fountain, resting.

”Bushi~yi?!” (What exactly is this place?!) Articuno stared at the scene in disbelief.

Zapdos looked at the bustling scene below, then introduced, ”Chiu chiu.” (Welcome to the Heroic Expedition Team’s Guild headquarters.)

Naoki Ranch, 8:00 p.m.

The lights at the other ranches had already dimmed, but the ranch here was still brightly lit.

The Indeedee Sibling and Gholdengo had gone early to the Pokemon Tavern to host the Pokemon from town and any wild Pokemon passing through.

Naoki, on the other hand, stayed at home steaming buns made with Articuno feathers and Moltres feathers.

In the living room, Koraidon and Cyclizar were lying on the carpet, letting out Yawns.

Calyrex sat on the sofa, playing with a phone in high spirits.

Naoki was on a video call with Cynthia.

Seeing Cynthia suddenly contact him, Naoki was quite surprised.

He tapped accept, and Cynthia’s face appeared on the screen.

”Ms. Cynthia? What’s the matter, calling at this hour?” Naoki asked.
