I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1338: 18.176 First Grey Star - Star Fall Garden

The Last Gift. This is the final favor that the Gods of Destruction and Void have left for us humans. Only the older guests who were able to identify them realized that the floating garden was a treasure trove and that it was the final gift their gods would bestow upon them. This implies that the gods will soon depart from mortal life and let humans to resume their lives without divine protection.

Ye Jieye said, ”Inside this garden are countless treasures you wouldnʼt find in the other danger zones. A treasure for extending longevity. An unbreakable artifact. An item that can revive someone. Inside anything is possible. Beware!

Inside the garden are not only opportunities but also dangers. Only the worthy can get the treasure.”

”By the way, this garden will disappear after a week. It would reappear every five years in this place, at the same time and day. Make sure to remember this day. Okay, you are free to go inside. The gate is now open!”

The majority of the villagers had gone straight to the floating island. Those with the ability to fly took off as soon as they received the all-clear. However, a few of you remain. The majority are Ye Jieyeʼs relatives and associates. Chief Warden Lou and Warden Yun Ming, their two deputies, are still with them. In actuality, they were awaiting their further orders.

Surprisingly, Wang Xingju, the vice president, and Heavenly Guardian Gu, the president, also stayed for their people; they permitted them to proceed instead. Ye Jieye was instructing Warden Yun and the Chief Warden to take care of his kids. They can let them play in the garden for as long as they like, but they have to come back for dinner.

”Wuye, you and Yun Ming can let these two do as they wish, but grab them back for meals, or Jingʼer will get angry if they miss their meals,” the God of Void said. ”For the others, you are forbidden from leading help; this is an equal opportunity for everyone. If someone kills to steal, you may execute it on the spot.”

”Yes, Milord!” Chief Warden Lou Wuye accepted his masterʼs orders.

The God of Void glanced at Yun Ming and said, ”You may discipline the children if they do wrong.”

”Please leave it to me, Lord God,” Yun Ming said.

Lu Ming and his entourage likewise greeted Ye Jieye intimately, with Lou Wuye and Yun Ming following the example of their young lord and small princess. Only the government official and the oldest members of his family were still alive.

Ye Jieye turned to face his parents, in-laws, and grandfathers.

Mu Zang said, ”You can speak with the government first. We will go and see Xiao Mo first.”

Ye Jieye nods and says, ”He should be awake by now. Do join him for breakfast.”

After giving his son a quick touch on the shoulder, Ye Jingli, Lu Weiʼs wife, follows him to the restaurant. Along with a smile and a few hellos, his in-laws entered the eatery.

The only people who stay outside with Ye Jieye are Wang Xingju and President Gu. Clearly, they have a question concerning the floating garden. President Gu greeted him and then inquired what he wanted to ask, remaining as direct as ever.

”Lord Satan, is it possible for me to ask if this ancient garden is the same as Star Fall Garden in outer space, or is it different?” President Gu asked.

Ye Jieye responded quickly and said, ”It is and yet not. The former Star Fall Garden had been destroyed in space. I found its fragments and just patched it up. When Iʼm bored, I throw a lot in it. Well, those toys are not useful for me, but they should be useful for you mortals. So it can be said that this is a different garden from before with the core from the original one.”

”Does Lord Satan know what destroyed the original Star Fall Garden?” President Gu asked.

Ye Jieye said, ”No. In space, in the land beyond this world sky, there are more existences that are unknown to you. Itʼs something the weak can know. Only those who become deities will be able to understand. Just like the invaders 9 years ago, they are just one of the trillions. There are more out there that you donʼt know.

I only made a move because the domain protector of your world hasnʼt been born yet. Normally, it is the authority and mission of the domain lord to protect his own star. Your former protector is greedy and kills his alter ego, leading to his own destruction. The three calamities are the result of his doing.”

”Venerable Lord, I would like to ask who this garden will be authorized to. If you donʼt have someone, the government can look after it,” Wang Xingju said.

The young guy, who had grown so much in the last few years, caught the God of Voidʼs eye. He is no longer the naive prince who agrees to give his soul to a malevolent deity. However, he is an amazing man who has the power to affect people just with words. He is obviously being groomed by the present president to be the next leader.

”This ancient garden can no longer be considered a part of this world. It has already become a small world that possesses its own laws. Iʼve already left a guardian to it. Old Gui (Turtle)...” An old man wearing ancient brown robes appeared from the earth and materialized behind Ye Jieye, immediately kneeling for him.

”This servant is here, Venerable Lord!”

With the assistance of Hei Anjing, this Old Gui—the Earth Turtle who lived in the heart of the Death Forest—was able to become a god, albeit unintentionally. He is now able to construct a human body clone in addition to his own since he attained godhood. This island is his turtle shell fragment and where Star Fall Garden currently stands.

After all, he had grown considerably larger to become a divine turtle.

Ye Jieye gestured for the old man to stand up and introduce him to the government. ”His name is Old Gui. He is a Divine Turtle God. The turtle race has been an animal synonymous with longevity. He is the right choice for the guardian of that Star Fall Garden. Every five years, at the same time and day, he will pull out this Ancient Garden from some space corridor.

He didnʼt need permission from anyone as he would just follow my order until all the treasures in the Ancient Garden were depleted.”

”The treasures can be depleted?” President Gu asked in surprise.

The God of Void said, ”All things have a lifespan unless you become an eternal being. Donʼt worry, it can last for at least a few Epochs.”

[A/n: Epoch is equivalent to 1,000,000 years.]

The two mortals were too shocked to contain their gasps. They have never heard the term ”Epoch” used in casual conversation before. However, an Epoch means nothing to a Sovereign God such as the God Void, especially as Sovereigns are immortal unless they are slain. The people who had been waiting outside had left the restaurant after their chat. Hei Anjing was with them this time.

He had just finished his breakfast. Hei Anjing yawned and walked straight over to embrace his hubby.

”Husband, Iʼm bored~” Hei Anjing said while hugging his beloved.

As predicted, the stifling air around Ye Xiajie only becomes less intense when Hei Anjing is there. A rare, kind smile emerged from the corner of his lips, and even the normally apathetic depths of his eyes were filled with gentleness.

”Does Baby want to go to the Ancient Garden or somewhere else with just the two of us?” The God of Void asked while helping his wife braid his long silver hair. As if he had done it multiple times, his movements were smooth and fast.

Hei Anjing smiled as well, ”Letʼs go to the orchard. I want to plant an herb garden in the center of the Death Forest.”

”Okay. After sending our family to the Ancient Garden, we can head to the Death Forest afterwards,” the God of Void said.

The sweet interaction between the couple is too sickeningly sweet, and everyone around at this moment feels like a melon-eating dog with so much dog food to eat.

In a while, Ye Xiajie and Hei Anjing accompanied their families at the gates of the Ancient Garden. President Gu and Wang Xingju didnʼt linger, as they knew it wasnʼt their position to stay behind with this big family.

The Star Fall Gardenʼs towering gates were in front of them, with a misty cloud covering the top of the gates. It seemed as though the gateʼs magnitude alone proved that large beings have always existed.

The others are set to enter the garden after saying goodbye and leaving. Hei Anjing spoke again.

”Dad, Father, Father Lu, and Daddy Ye, you guys should head to the center of the garden. There is a pond in that place full of ice lotus flowers with divinity. Eating a lotus seed would allow one to conceive children regardless of age. We might not be able to accompany you until the end, but I wonʼt allow you to remain without an heir who will take care of you in the future.”

”The Ice Lotus Seed is capable of cleansing the body and soul. It would help you reach at least Deity class and extend your life span longer. Grandfathers and Grandpas should also eat it as it also has longevity effects. Itʼs something only those who possess our bloodline can farm. Itʼs exclusive only for the four clans to use,” Hei Anjing said with a smile.

Xue Keiran and Ye Jingli find it unpleasant since he seems to be saying goodbye early. They were aware that Mo Xuejing would not survive into the ninth year and that Ye Jieye would probably die with him. Additionally, the mere thought of these two fathers losing their sole kid will shock them beyond belief. They nodded at their kids and remained silent despite their anguish.

Tears formed the corners of the two couplesʼ eyes as they walked into the old garden.

Heavenly Guardian Mo and his partner, as well as the other four elders, comforted them.

”Xueʼer, donʼt mind your dads too much. They will be able to accept it in the end. Just give them more time,” Mo Xinyue said.

Hei Anjing said, ”Itʼs okay. I know why they feel like that. Unfortunately, I am unable to change it anymore. Why donʼt I stay for a few more years even as a spirit?”

”No! I wonʼt allow you to compromise your soul state for this reason. Jingʼer, Iʼll get angry. Stop this talk.” The God of Void was the first one to reject these suggestions. Staying in spirit form makes one fragile and would greatly weaken the soul. For an incomplete soul like Jingʼer, that situation is deadly for him, and he will never agree to it.

Hei Anjing pouted and said, ”Hmp! Okay, I wonʼt. How can you scold me?”

”Baby, Iʼm not scolding you. Iʼm just worried about you,” the God of Void said, trying to coax his wife.

Hmp!

Their elders found amusement and solace in seeing the young couple interact. They will be OK until the very end if they can get along this nicely.

A week was spent exploring the Ancient Garden. The floating antique garden vanished instantly after seven days, and everyone inside was ejected from there, wherever they might have been. People began to descend to Numen Town from the skies. While some people perished within, others were given the chance to grow stronger. With whatever they had taken from the Star Fall Garden, everyone was content.

Everybody in this star would respect the Star Fall Garden as a treasure land even in the future, as it has evolved into a divine land that appears in their universe every five years since that day.
