I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1323: 18.161 First Grey Star - Before the end of the Land Calamity.

The Heavenly Guardians, including the medics led by Doctor Sen, Doctor Hei, and Doctor Guang, may now at last relax under Lu Shangʼs orders. Four days had passed since Heavenly Guardian Lu Wangleʼs fall, during which time they had engaged in such fierce combat. Their resistance against the waves of chaotic spatial creatures had been substantially aided by the Nirvana Flame.

That is why most of the fighters were taken aback when they lost their support. Some of them perished, and others suffered serious injuries. The commanders were stunned, and the monsters were able to overpower them in the few seconds of silence that followed.

Fortunately, Lu Ming, Su Jin, Mo Yuhan, Ji Yoonjun, and Lu Shang, under the leadership of Leica and Lu Shang, arrived at the battle zone in time to save everyone from certain death. There would be innumerable deaths if a commander faltered or committed even a single error. That is what would have happened if Lu Shang and the others had not arrived on schedule.

Until the next waves arrived, this massive wave of spatial monsters had been destroyed by the combined strength of six people. On the battlefield, many people suffered injuries, but more people lost their lives. The humanoid races withdrew to rest after the monster wave was destroyed.

Once more, the doctors would be treating patients into the night. Su Jin is a valuable member of the medical team because he developed the power to heal using his water components. Ji Yoonjun offered to assist with the medical care as well. After all, when it comes to healing among the special elements, wood comes in second only to light components. One could rank water as third.

Doctor Sen appeared in front of Su Jin and said, ”Can your water elements heal wounds?”

”I canʼt do anything to any wounds that are too fatal or regenerate limbs. At most, I can only cleanse negative states like poison, freezing, or burns,” Su Jin responded.

Doctor Guang said, ”Thatʼs enough. Come join my team. I focus on surgeries. Your ability would be a great help for avoiding infections.”

”I can regenerate limbs, but I canʼt revive a dead person,” Ji Yoonjun said.

The three doctors, including Su Jin, were stunned. They never expected this person, who doesnʼt emit any light elements, to be capable of regenerating limbs.

Doctor Hei exclaimed, ”Thatʼs right! Woof Elements is synonymous with life. Senior Hei, he is telling the truth. I will lead him to the patients with missing limbs.”

”Okay. Donʼt overdo it, young ones,” Doctor Sen said to Doctor Guang, Doctor Hei, and Su Jin. Then he lowered his head in front of Ji Yoonjun. ”Thank you for your mercy.”

It is clear that Doctor Sen can see right through individuals now that he is spent more time with the Heavenly Guardians, especially those with unique existences like gods and evil. Ji Yoonjunʼs vessel cannot entirely disguise his inner divinity. It is difficult to overlook his benevolent actions and apathy.

When it comes to the sight of life and death, only those who are accustomed to being elevated above all mankind would be so distant.

Ji Yoonjun was expressionless upon hearing Doctor Senʼs words. ”Your eyes are neat. Death is against my element. But regeneration of limbs is within the limit. Donʼt worry, I will make sure their limbs wonʼt be different from normal.” He grabbed Doctor Heiʼs back collar and walked away.

”Ah. I can walk. Please donʼt drag me.” Doctor Hei shouted while being pulled away by Ji Yoonjun.

Su Jin looked at Doctor Sen and asked, ”Since when did Grandpa know?” He was asking about Ji Yoonjunʼs identity as a god.

Doctor Sen smiled and said, ”When a person completely changes overnight, itʼs either a possession of a god, a devil, or a different soul.”

”If it were someone elseʼs soul, they would not only have a new personality but also have forgotten most of the originalʼs memories. They had loopholes in what they could remember. But Ji Yoonjun had all the memories needed, so he canʼt be an ordinary soul.”

”A devil would be calm, looking at the world and searching for some entertainment to avoid boredom. This type would treat everyone with hidden disdain while treating someone with a smile. Ji Yoonjun would be expressionless sometimes, but he only looked at me with clear eyes and talked with us.”

”A god will be indifferent to everything around them. This includes the life and death of others. I thought he might be one whose line of sight only has you, but there is no emotion within his eyes. He just looks as if watching over as an observer. He stopped caring about me as he never cared about others, but even so, he never ignored us.

I guess he changed that day Lu Ming ended up in your restaurant. His only intention was with you, and his eyes were pure and indifferent. So I guess that he must be a god or something. So I am correct.”

Such a detailed explanation is enough for Su Jin to realize that the old doctor who had been caring for them was such a sly fox. Nothing could escape his eyes.

Doctor Sen said, ”Iʼm going to rest for a bit. You guys take care of the rest until then. I need to check out the patients in the palace.”

Leica informed the Heavenly Guardians that Mo Xuejing had returned before them and had inquired about Lu Wangleʼs well-being. Such news pleased Mu Zang, Mo Xinyue, Xian Wu, and Lao Gu. This indicates that Mo Xuejing most likely saved their old colleague, who did not actually die.

---

At the tent where Lu Wangle rests...

The Heavenly Guardians had assembled. However, Mu Zang and the others were greeted by a massive reddish-gold egg. Well, at least half the size of an adult. Leica, Mo Yuhan, Lu Ming, and Lu Shang all happened to stop by and witness this ethereal spectacle. Hei Anjing was seated next to a lone table that held dessert and beverages not far from them. After saving Lu Wangle, he was savoring his tea.

The Nirvana Flame Fire Spirit in Lu Ming is the one among the arrivals who recognizes the egg. It can now take the form of a ghost or a tiny phoenix. It circles the egg and even lets forth a shocked cry.

{This is amazing. This is the first time Iʼve seen a mortal awaken a Phoenix bloodline. Though it wasnʼt pure, it is indeed phoenix blood. Boy, you said the one inside is your grandfather. This is surprising; you almost donʼt have any trace of this bloodline in your veins, though.}

Lu Ming asked the Phoenix spirit, ”How about my elder brother?”

{Youʼre brother is different. As the Venerable one resides in him, all other incomplete traces had been removed. He is now a pure wind element user. If he becomes a god in the future, he can become the God of Wind.}

Mo Yuhan looked amazed at the huge egg and walked around it multiple times.

”Wow~ such a huge egg!” He said but just as he was about to touch it, he felt a slight burning effect. Thankfully, his ice protected his hand or it would be burned to crisp.

Woah~

”It burns. How come there is fire on the egg?” Mo Yuhan mumbled.

Lu Shang hit the back of Mo Yuhanʼs head and said, ”Grandpa is inside that egg. You dare to touch it indiscriminately.”

”Hic! Really?” Mo Yuhan was terrified by Lu Shangʼs words.

Leica, with a gentlemanʼs smile, said, ”Itʼs true.”

The Heavenly Guardians assemble around Hei Anjing as the children are tending to the eggs, but nobody is brave enough to approach him. The two sides are separated by at least one meter. People who were unaware that Mo Xuejingʼs soul had been replaced believed he was apathetic toward them after he had returned to his true body.

Still, as long as they got close to them, Mo Xuejing would not turn a blind eye. It makes sense that there would be a gap between the times he had no recollection and the present, when he was able to recall all that was important to remember, given what had transpired in the past.

Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang said, ”Xiao Mo, how is your Grandpa Lu? Is he still alive? Is he alive?”

”Donʼt worry. He is still alive. Well, to be exact, he already died once and is in the process of rebirth,” Hei Anjing said.

Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue asked, ”Xueʼer, you mean that he will come out of the egg alive?”

”Hm. His special bloodline had been fully activated. Phoenixes are capable of rebirth after death. Donʼt worry about his memories. I made sure he retained those when I awakened his bloodline. But this kind of situation wonʼt happen to any other Lu Clan members.

The othersʼ bloodline is too weak compared to Grandpa Lu. Well, it might be possible for Lu Ming and my husband. Their bloodline is the purest and highest grade fire elemental compatibility. Lu Shangʼs bloodline is also strong, but his element is incompatible, so itʼs not possible for him to undergo such a situation,” Hei Anjing explained.

The celestial guardians were relieved yet also perplexed. They never would have guessed that Lu Wangleʼs ancestry would come to his aid in his current situation. Since he had already passed away, it cannot be said that he avoided death and then resurrected.

Heavenly Guardian Gu looked at the egg and said, ”I know Brother Lu would crook! Hahaha~”

”Iʼm more wanting to ask why the size of the egg doesnʼt seem to be big enough as an adult,” Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu said.

Hei Anjing said, ”Of course, after rebirth, one can be reborn as an adult. He would be reborn as a child. His bloodline is powerful enough to revert him to his adult form after his rebirth is completed.”

”Y-You mean...” Mu Zangʼs lips twitched.

Hei Anjing said, ”He will be reborn as a five-year-old child at the minimum or 10 at the maximum.”

These elderly men burst out laughing, picturing a 5- to 10-year-old LunWnagle emerging from the egg. They would be entertained and rather amused to see a youngster acting like an old man despite his youth.

Hahahahaha~

After laughing enough, the King who just arrived heard most of the important points and asked, ”Then when will Lord Lu hatch?”

”If you ask that phoenix fire spirit with that boy, he can hatch tomorrow morning,” Hei Anjing said as he pointed at the small flaming bird on Lu Mingʼs shoulder. For some unknown reason, the flame on the birdʼs body doesnʼt burn the young man.

Lu Ming, who overheard the words of Hei Anjing, also looked at the Phoenix fire spirit on his shoulder.

”You can do that? Hatching an egg?” Lu Ming asked.

{I can but it will take too much energy. I might fall asleep.}

Suddenly, Hei Anjing threw a small flame orb with the shade of black. Itʼs a fire stone created from the God of Voidʼs qi. His and the God of Voidʼs aura leak a lot and it would form into this small elemental stone which is piled up in their inventory. He took the smallest one.

{Thank you, Venerable Lord!}

”Use that to replenish your energy. It should be enough for your current state,” Hei Anjing said. ”Actually, you guys should get ready for the final stage of the Land Calamity tomorrow. Those who were stuck inside are coming out. There are more monsters tomorrow than today. I will only enter the battlefield once you guys can no longer hold on.

The restrictions of this world on me are much more powerful than what the other gods possessed. I can destroy this world once I make a move, so donʼt expect too much of me for tomorrowʼs fight.”

Everyone in the tent falls silent as a result of his sudden and unexpected declaration that he is a god. Those who know have said nothing. Those who made similar assumptions likewise remained silent. The Heavenly Guardians themselves had differing responses. Shock paint covered Xian Wuʼs and Lao Guʼs faces. Mo Xinyue and Mu Zang had an expression of expectation.

Heavenly Guardian Lao Gu was the one who broke the silence. He shouted in disbelief and incredulity.

”Youʼre a God. For real!?”

”Well, him helping Lao Lu awaken his ancestral bloodline is an impossible deed for a mortal. But a God... um, I canʼt say Iʼm not surprised.”

Despite his best efforts, Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu drank his drink. He saw that the other young people like Lu Shang and others were not taken aback. Given that they spend more time with the couple, it makes sense that they are already aware of this. However, he was unaware that the king was also aware of it.

He asked, ”Your Majesty doesnʼt seem surprised. Did you already know?”

”No, I didnʼt know. Itʼs just that Satan is already Godly himself. Of course, the spouse he had chosen would never be simple. Itʼs just a matter of fact,” Wang Xingmo said.

Everyone, as if agreeing to the kingʼs words, couldnʼt help but nod in agreement.

Hei Anjing squinted at the hidden man at the corner, peering over the human kingʼs shoulder and even giving him a sly smile. Knowing he had to be that being on the Tower of God, he snorted and ignored the stare directed at him.
