I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1337: 18.175 First Grey Star - Last Gift

As more time went by, people began to forget the tragedy that the three tragedies had brought about. The mortals began to move on and live peacefully again. They even began to lose faith in the reality of heavenly beings who had assisted them throughout the dreadful catastrophe.

It was the ninth year, almost the tenth, since the D-Day invasion by extraterrestrial invaders. This world began to change from a semi-fantasy-modern one after incorporating the technologies left behind by the broken golems in the gray star. From the world of E-class to that of D+-class. The advancement of civilization on Earth has been aided by the involvement of numerous gods.

Modern technology artifacts are being used by hunters to improve their elemental energy-wielding skills. Despite their usefulness, these gadgets would prevent one from progressing toward increasing their affinity for elements. However, this artifact represents a new extension of life for people with average compatibility with elements.

Ye Xiajie and Hei Anjing observe directly the advancement of the mortals. By then, the only thing that has not changed is their little treehouse restaurant.

Hei Anjing said, ”Humans are truly smart creatures. They enhanced their strength and started to fight against the odds without any help from their elementals or divinity. If this continues, this world will no longer possess natural beings after being suppressed by the progression of technology. In the end, they will be the ones destroying their own.

After all, the source of this world is nature, and without it, it will slowly die.”

”Itʼs alright. Among the Heavenly Guardians, the Mo, Ye, Lu, and Mu remained unaffected by the technology. They instead increased their affinity with their elementals, making them real elementalists when that time came. At least this world wouldnʼt completely die. Humans are greedy, and without it, they wouldnʼt be called humans,” Ye Jieye said.

Hei Anjing mumbled, ”Desires bring forth greed. Itʼs the source of human strength and also their weakness. As long as everything remains balanced, they should be alright. It seems that stupid fish is about to wake up, and when he does, it will be the time for us to leave.”

”Indeed, even though we havenʼt stayed that long in this world, spending time with you is my greatest happiness,” Ye Jieye said as he hugged his wife from behind.

Right now, the two were standing on the second-floor balcony of their treehouse, gazing up at the nighttime sky and the dazzling light far off. Neither elementals nor spells are necessary for humans to live in a light environment at night in the modern period. Their home was dim until they turned on the electricity.

The two sovereign gods continue to be observers of this worldʼs development and do not participate in it. Had it not been for the prearranged catastrophes a decade prior, they would never have come to light. Simply put, since their primary souls, Mo Xuejing and Ye Jieye had too much karma in this realm, which they could only atone for once they combined.

They were therefore forced to assist the mortal inhabitants of this planet in surviving the disasters.

Abruptly, the God of Void recalled the Star Fall Garden—a hazardous area he had unintentionally consumed. Since it is one of this planetʼs supplies for materials needed to keep this world running, he had to bring it back.

Ye Xiajie extended his right hand, and a powerful aura of greed and evil collected there. Though a little taken aback, Hei Anjing maintained his composure in the comfort of his beliefs. He saw as his spouse extended this force beyond the community, nearly engulfing an eighth of the entire planet. An ancient island with glimpses of divinity emerged in the sky as the black aura subsided.

Hei Anjing asked, ”What is this, AʼXia?”

”Do you remember that one time when I totally lost control over the power of devouring? To keep my mind sane, I had to eat anything within the vicinity. Above the Tornado Mountain Ranges is this danger zone, the Star Fall Garden. I accidentally ate it. But it seems that the real reason I lost control was because of that bastard controlling this fragment of gluttony from the shadows.

He truly made countless traps to annoy me!” Ye Xiajie said as he kept thinking about that bastard that possessed his real face. He is annoyed by how he was fooled by that bastard many times in this world.

Hei Anjing frowned. ”Maybe you should stay away from him. I feel that his malice towards you is too strong.”

”I know. He is jealous of me. After all, among all of us, it was me who you have chosen,” the God of Void said as he tightened his embrace to the slightly cool body of his wife.

Because his sweetheart had a low body temperature from birth, he was typically chilly than others with normal body temperatures. His brother informed him that all people of Mo Bloodline have this type of body. Perhaps because their physical body temperature is affected by the ice elementalsʼ intense love for them.

He was not concerned about it because the only negative effect was a little lowered body temperature.

Hei Anjing smiled and allowed himself to be hugged. ”Of course, there is no one else but you.”

Everyone in the vicinity was confused by the unexpected arrival of the Star Fall Garden while the pair flirted on their own balcony. Many individuals even leave their homes to gaze at the garden that floats overhead. Gradually, the floating island with the old garden on top of it rises above and even beyond the sky.

There are experts who know exactly what this garden-filled island is. With a reverent, old aura emanating from their mansionʼs roof, Heavenly Guardian Mu and his spouse Ye Jingya gazed out over the garden.

Mu Zang mumbled, ”Isnʼt this the Star Fall Garden danger zone that disappeared before? How come it would appear above Numen Town like this?”

”Instead of asking how itʼs better to ask the one who brought it out, it seems it had something to do with our grandson,” Ye Jingya said as he looked at the silhouette of the couple flirting on the treehouse balcony.

Ye Jieye gazed at them and nodded their heads, as though nothing had changed in their expressions. By making this gesture, he is indicating that he was the one who brought the island out and that they would get the remainder. They are unable to intervene in this matter and can only watch as the couple enters their home again.

Mu Zangʼs head began to pound upon seeing this scene. He could not help but wonder why he brought it now, how and when his pious grandchild took this hazardous zone.

”Sigh~, why do I feel these kids are doing us a favor? After all, among all the current clans, only our four clans will benefit greatly in this danger zone,” Mu Zang said.

Ye Jingya frowned as he understood something: ”Right now is almost the end of the ninth year after the three great calamities. We are about to enter the tenth year, which is considered a decade.”

The current state of affairs with Mo Xuejing was previously known to the Ye, Mu, Mo, and Lu clans. It was reported that after giving them prophecy and defying the heavens to buy them some time, his physical form was severely damaged by divine retribution. Mo Xuejing gave them one year of rest before the last disaster struck, in return for his long life.

Consequently, he has lived a significantly shorter life while being healthy for all these years. That was the divine retribution he got for lending them a hand. Since this is a punishment that even God fears, not even Ye Jieye can stop it. Punishments imposed by the laws of divinity, this is a rule that even Gods had to follow.

Over the previous nine years, the four clans have consistently spent time with the Ye Family, realizing the limited amount of time Mo Xuejing had. since they were aware that this family would only live for a limited time in this world. After the world is saved, the Ye family truly has the option to reside in this star, but they decide to stay here until Mo Xuejingʼs vessel naturally ends.

Mu Zangʼs mood turned helpless and sad, realizing the state of the situation. ”I see. Itʼs already time for them to leave. I guess as gods from the other realm, they arenʼt meant to stay here forever.”

”Donʼt be sad. I at least will be with you until the end. I promise you, my wife,” Ye Jingya said as he held Mu Zangʼs hand tight within his.

The nation was rocked by the uproar that the island of Star Fall had reappeared. That day, a large number of hunters and experts congregated in Numen Town. Sadly, Ye Jieye built a wall to keep strangers out of the village as soon as he released the Star Fall Garden, so they were unable to enter.

Thus, the guests—which include Wang Xingju, the vice president, and Lao Gu, the president at the moment—can only wait outside the town.

Many hunters from the town had been to the floating garden since the sun had risen the following morning, but they were unable to pass through the closed gates. All of the hunters and experts from their town are gathered by Mu Zang and Ye Jingya in the middle of their territory. They described the circumstances there.

Everyone discovered that Satan had given them this island and that they had to wait for him to awaken in order to set foot on it.

Additionally, this information was disseminated to others outside the town. As time went on, many of them lost track of Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejingʼs divine identities. Some people do know, but nobody is brave enough to tell others. So many of them whined when they learned they would have to wait for Ye Jieye to wake up.

Those who had spoken were hushed by the president and other senior authorities who were aware of Satan and his wifeʼs true identities. Most of the hunters outside the village have silenced themselves since the president has endorsed Satan.

When the clock strikes 6 a.m. At last, Ye Jieye had come out. Chief Warden and Warden Yun brought over Lu Ming and his entourage, which also included Lu Shang and Leica. Along with them were his two children, their dog Oreo, and the two mythological beings reduced to small sizes. A gorgeous chicken and a black snake are currently perched on Ye Jieyeʼs shoulder.

Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia, meanwhile, cheerfully followed in their fatherʼs footsteps while donning relaxed attire reminiscent of medieval robes.

Ye Jingxia was wearing a light blue robe and shorts on his body. Making it look like a little ancient immortal. On the other hand, Ye Anxia is wearing a knee-length, fluffy white robe with wide sleeves. With her hair tied up in a bun with white butterflies, she now looks like a little fairy. Everyone couldnʼt help but gasp at these cute clothes.

The chief warden had given Lu Ming, Su Jin, and Mo Yuhan warden robes to wear. This time, they received it after receiving the Lord Godʼs approval. Now that it was theirs, the three could do with the black robe as they pleased, even dying it a different color. Lu Ming so dyed his a rich red-god hue and wore it carelessly over his hunting attire, exposing most of his chest.

Regarding Mo Yuhan, he altered his robe to a pale gray color with a cloud design. He only dyed it with a few motifs without making any other changes. He now has the appearance of a young farmer lost in the contemporary world. Su Jinʼs robe was changed to a blue-green color and resembled Lu Mingʼs, but unlike the latter, he wore it appropriately, covering his neck like a devout young master.

The same robe was also provided to Lu Shang and Leica, but they modified it to become a combat uniform with a contemporary look. Therefore, it is still modern style apparel, save for the materials. For this reason, unlike the other three young men, they did not draw much notice.

Yun Ming and Chief Warden Lou, on the other hand, were dressed in pure black robes with an ancient style and similar color. With Lou Wuye donning an armored helmet and Yun Ming donning a veil, they concealed the majority of their features. They even had a jade token on their waists, shaped like a drop of blood.

People only felt suppressed by the jade itself because of the word ʼNetherʼ inscribed on it. As soon as Ye Jieye appeared, these two saluted properly.

Looking indifferent, Ye Jieye peered at the crowd in front of him and said, ”Youʼve gathered faster than I expected. Thatʼs good. After all, this is our last gift for you mortals.”
