I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1329: 18.167 First Grey Star - From I to Us.

The elders managed the disturbance after Hei Anjing left, even telling everyone that Mo Xuejing had gone to find Ye Jieye personally. Many see Mo Xuejing as a god, particularly in the wake of that night when they slept soundly for the first time and saw the mound of monstrous corpses that was higher than a real hill.

What is more, he has this phenomenon where he summons doors that resemble the dungeon entrance.

Numerous worlds opened up for them to behold in this ethereal vision, and with them, the man in complete control. Mo Xuejing and Ye Jieye are genuine gods to the inhabitants of this realm. They think Lord Mo is capable of bringing Lord Ye back.

After watching Lord Hei leave, Ji Yoonjun asked his seniors about some confusion in his mind. ”Seniors, why didnʼt the Venerable Lord kill that person just now? Didnʼt he cause the Lord God to be trapped?”

Lu Shang and Leica had some guesses, but they werenʼt sure if what they thought was correct or not.

Zhi Yue was the one who responded to Ji Yoonjunʼs question. ”Didnʼt you see how he looks? That face... is a mixture of Ye Jieye and the Lord Godʼs features. That person must be connected to the Lord God in some other way. If so, itʼs understandable that Lord Hei wouldnʼt kill him, as he isnʼt sure whether that manʼs death will also affect the Lord God.”

”I see.”

Ji Yoonjun agreed with this interpretation, stating that coincidence does not exist in the eyes of God. Nearly everything is in their hands. It is therefore difficult for someone to appear to like someone else and not be in a relationship with him. Ultimately, Chaos bears a striking resemblance to Hei Anjingʼs previous incarnation, Snow. People with comparable features will always be connected.

Because a godʼs appearance is distinct from everyone elseʼs, other than family, only something related to them will have a like appearance.

Leica said, ”There is no need to worry about Lord Hei. He wouldnʼt have left if he wasnʼt sure where he was going. We should focus on preparing for the Last Calamity.”

”Since it involves the sky, it would most likely be something coming from space. It might be a dimensional invasion that involves this world and another. This time there are no limitations in space as the sky is everywhere. Those who were weak could no longer just hide. We should at least prepare for the worst,” Lu Shang said.

Ji Yoonjun asked, ”What should we do then?”

”First, letʼs invite the New Sea God and his apostles for a meeting. Letʼs send Su Jin to pass the message. He is someone considered the prince of the sea,” Leica said.

Lu Shang said, ”I will explain to this side what happened. You can go with them. Just be careful.”

”Okay, you two,” Leica said.

The group dispersed. Leica departed in the direction of Su Jin, Lu Ming, and Mo Yuhan. Lu Shang, on the other hand, brought Ji Yoonjun along to the meeting with the heavenly guardians and the human monarch to discuss their last-minute arrangements. The catastrophe of the sky still looms above them, even after the catastrophe of the land has passed.

They had no idea where or when those beings might show up in the world. They were able to purchase time for a maximum of a year, at least with the spell that Lord Hei left behind, but it remains to be seen if it will be sufficient.

Back to the situation of the God of Void...

After giving Hunluan some consolation, he felt the need to go to sleep since he was angry that his parents had disregarded him. The God of Void was about to process what had just happened when he saw something different. He acquires a humanoid form this time, despite his appearance being that of a little child who is hardly able to walk. He does, at least, appear human.

Ye Xiajie was startled to see his reflection in the mirror; the corner of his mouth was stained with red blood, and he scowled when he saw his tiny hand, which was also covered in that rusty scent. He slept once and was unable to remember anything after that.

When he finally had time to glance around, he discovered that he was surrounded by deceased people, most likely lesser gods based only on the traces of divinity.

With a detached glance, the God of Void wipes the blood from the corners of his lips and washes his hands. Killing and death are normal to him. Thus, he remained unfazed even by the deaths of those around him at this same moment. In reality, he could care less. His body craves it, but his intellect makes him feel ill at the sight and taste of blood and flesh in his throat.

It seems like a long time since he has done anything because of this unbearable hunger. He would probably turn into a madman whose sole goal is to devour everything in his path if he were not logical.

Hunluan reappeared in front of him right after he had torched the body to clear the trash. There was no longer any innocence in his eyes this time. Rather, he looks at him with a mixture of disappointment, rage, and a need for tears. It appeared as though he had made a mistake.

The God of Void looked around and thought at the moment, ʼAm I not supposed to burn them?ʼ

Slap!

He was about to raise his hand when Hunluan slapped him across the face, causing his eyes to redden.

Ye Xiajie was unable to comprehend what he had done. In fact, since he had no control over this body, it might not have been his fault in the first place. This was the scene that greeted him when he recently awoke. He was unaware of the reason for the slap and was unable to adequately explain it to the person.

{I told. I told you before. If you are hungry, come to me. You cannot just eat anyone. If Origin and End learned about this, they would definitely ask you to be exterminated again!}

Ye Xiajie said, ”But... I donʼt know what happened. When I opened my eyes, it was already like this. I donʼt remember anything. I ate them. How can I eat them?”

{You... You donʼt remember? This is impossible. No, maybe... You donʼt know why you are here?}

”I donʼt know. The last thing I remember is when I was not in this form yet. Arenʼt I only supposed to be an eye?” The God of Void said.

Hunluan, on the other hand, thought it was more unbelievable the longer he listened. He glanced at the toddler in front of him, seeming shocked. There were numerous personalities inside this tiny body, he suspected. The only logical piece is the one that is in front of him right now. The rest acts on its innate desire to murder and eat anything.

Suddenly, this man called Hunluan hugged him while trembling. He heard him whispering, {I promise, I will find a way. To separate the rational you from your instincts. Even if itʼs the last thing I do, I will definitely help you change.}

The God of Void said, ”Okay, but if itʼs too much, itʼs okay to kill me.”

{No. No! That will never happen!}

Hunluan helped him remove the remnants of his presence from the place while holding him in his arms. The God of Void embraced the guy about the neck, and Ye Xiajie became extremely thirsty at the sight of this object and Hunluanʼs thin neck. Luckily, he is sensible enough to take no action. All that happened was that he slept off again.

It was just that the third time he woke up, he would regret falling asleep. Ultimately, the sight before him shifts from the sanctuary-like surroundings to a destroyed area of space, and he loses all self-control. And he had matured much further. He looked up to see Hunluan with a white death scythe in his hand and white armor covering his entire body.

This man seemed to have entirely lost all emotion, as though he had turned it all against him.

The God of Void desired to speak, but he couldnʼt control anything. He saw himself getting all crazy and attacking Hunluan. ruthless and cruel. Then, as memories of Hunluan killing him flood his mind, his tongue begins to move on its own.

”Itʼs already too late, Hunluan! I ate them. They were quite delicious. If not for you protecting Origin and the End, I would have eaten them as well. You created me by restraining my hunger. My dear creator, it was your own fault that you incorporated desires on me.

What I wanted I will take away. To make sure it would never be gone, I had to eat them. In the end, you shall be eaten by me too in the end. Arenʼt you happy? Inside of me, we will be together forever as you wish! Hahaha~”

{Thatʼs not it! I didnʼt make you end up like this. All I wanted was a companion. One that can be with me for eternity, like how Origin is to End. I know itʼs wrong you created you, but... Iʼm just so lonely.}

”Thatʼs why I told you~ let me eat you and we can be together forever~”

Ye Xiajie watches the scene and realizes that this might be the time when the Devouring Evil, the World Eater, was born.

His thoughts: ʼThose memories from before—just how many times did I die only to regenerate countless times? Uncontrollable hunger, irrational hunger due to being famished, and rage for not feeling full. It was actually a bit unbearable for me. But this man, showing this kind of scene to me, is telling me I have connections to the World Eater.ʼ

He heard Ye Jieyeʼs voice in his head saying, [Of course there is a connection. After all, this is our Origin. For you, him, them and me.]

The God of Void watches himself murdering Hunluan in front of him before he can respond. He was struck even more at this point, feeling as though he had become the person himself, seeing such a familiar face as if he were seeing his Jingʼer himself. Hunluan saw the World Eater in this timeline cry, perhaps inspired by the God of Void within this body.

A beautiful smile appeared on the gorgeous pale face of the dying man in front of him. He heard him speak in his mind, {As expected... You are still there. Iʼm sorry. I hurt you. countless times.

Iʼm not... going to... ask you to... forgive me. If there is... a new life...

I will definitely... repay you. As promised... Let me free you. In your next life, I hope... you wouldnʼt...

be burdened with... this hunger anymore. My... Other... Half... Xia~}

Xia means the glow of a sunrise. In Hunluanʼs words, Xia is the only light in his life. He was the one who made me feel like he was not a god who brought only chaos. The only happiness in his life and the one whom he wanted to save the most.

The God of Voidʼs eyes opened, allowing the power of chaos to enter his body and give him life. He had the impression that something was forcing his body to break apart. The World Eater burst into many fragments and was granted a second chance at life. Being split up into many parts and reincarnated would allow them to enjoy their lives, unlike when they were one and had an unquenchable thirst.

If nothing else, at least their insatiable need would be satisfied.

The soul of the God of Void was at last released as well, though it could not move. All he can do is watch as Hunluanʼs body, having given his life in sacrifice, vanishes, leaving just a shell of himself drifting in space. Unfortunately, he was yanked out of that timeframe and returned to that shadowy realm known as subconsciousness just as soon as he tried to reach out.

Ye Jieye is waiting for him there.

Ye Jieye said, ”How do you feel? Arenʼt I kind enough to block some parts when we are in a state of madness due to hunger? You sleep through all the disgusting parts. Iʼm being kind.”

The God of Void, after waking up from his shock, grabbed Ye Jieyeʼs collar, giving him a smirk. ”What was that? What the hell did you show me!?”

”What, you ask? Like I said~ itʼs our origin. Before us divided from the original I,” Ye Jieye answered.
