God's Imitator

Qin Yao felt somewhat sorry for the people in Community 12, ”So Community 12 should have been watching Community 4’s people press the buttons!”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”At that time, Fan Zehui subconsciously still regarded us as the main enemy. He was worried that if we were only assigned one set of buttons, we would deliberately seek revenge and make trouble trying to turn the tables, so he kept wandering between their third group and our fourth group of buttons.

”Seeing that there was one person standing in front of all the buttons, he subconsciously assumed that Community 4 was also distributing income in the 2000+2000+1000+1000 manner.”

Qin Yao frowned slightly and raised a new question, ”But even if they didn’t notice these small tricks, as long as they realized through that word trap that ’Civilian players could possibly obtain 3000 wealth points per round,’ they could have directly given Zhou Rong one more work opportunity to avoid such problems.”

Cai Zhiyuan didn’t find this strange, ”Fan Zehui wanted to quickly get all 4 people to qualify for investment, investing in each other to quickly maximize investment return limits.

”That is, they only needed to secure management positions with the minimum wealth value, and distribute all other wealth to other players as much as possible.

”This strategy wasn’t exactly wrong. Under the premise of ensuring management rights weren’t lost, it was indeed a way to maximize returns.

”But they mistakenly thought that 10,000 minutes of visa time would allow Zhou Rong to stably become the ‘Old Age’ management layer. This was a fatal oversight.

”This game has too many rules, and thinking time is very short. As long as they couldn’t immediately realize this word trap and devise a strategy, they would inevitably be covered by other rules afterward, leading to oversight.

”The reason Community 12 could become Conglomerates was because they had the least visa time, naturally making them the weakest, which matches their intelligence level.”Lin Sizhi, who hadn’t spoken, now explained, ”While this plan’s feasibility certainly had to be built on Community 12’s stupidity, it wasn’t easy to actually execute.

”Community 4 did a lot of preparatory work, and their actions were very covert.”

Luo Wei was somewhat surprised, ”Besides these small tricks, were there other preparatory works?”

Lin Sizhi nodded and continued, ”To implement this strategy, the most difficult part wasn’t recognizing the word trap or designing these deceptive tricks, but seizing the ’window period.’

”This strategy actually only has a very brief window period, which is the first 3 minutes of the preparation phase before the game starts, at most the first 5 minutes.

”Han Mengying had to calculate that she could reach 11,000 wealth points after two rounds the moment she saw the word trap, then deduce from the current age structure that Zhou Rong would rise to power after two rounds, and determine the target of deception: make Zhou Rong have only 10,000 wealth points if possible.

”After that, she had to contact Community 12 as quickly as possible, interfering with their rule study while instilling the wrong concept of ’quickly starting investment cycles’ into Fan Zehui.

”This concept’s effect wasn’t just misleading Fan Zehui into distributing wealth evenly, but more importantly, completely occupying his thinking time.

”When Fan Zehui began thinking about how to distribute wealth to fastest get everyone’s visa time to 10,000, and specifically which round to maximize investment returns, the calculation reached his limit, so his brain was completely occupied, giving those small tricks room to operate.

”Once Han Mengying took more than 5 minutes to formulate this strategy herself, allowing Fan Zehui to think through the rules on his own, she would miss the window period, and instilling wrong concepts afterward would most likely fail.

”So this was actually Han Mengying and Fan Zehui competing for thinking time.

”As we said before, once this game starts it won’t stop, the 10-minute rounds are very tight, and players like Fan Zehui who aren’t smart to begin with will make one mistake after another.

”While Fan Zehui was thinking about ’how to distribute wealth to maximize investment returns,’ he also had to consider other rules, research strategies, and allocate their own buttons. Under circumstances where he was already more wary of us, he didn’t have extra energy to notice Community 4’s small tricks.”

Qin Yao suddenly understood, ”Oh! No wonder Han Mengying went to find Community 12 slightly later than you, Lawyer Lin. So she had already thought up the strategy by then?”

Cai Zhiyuan nodded slightly, ”In that case, this plan indeed wasn’t as simple as it appeared.

”Its benefits are too enormous, so the God’s Imitator who designed this game also placed restrictions on this strategy, only giving a very short window period, testing players’ quick wit.

”After hearing the game rules, every minute that passes rapidly decreases this strategy’s success rate. The strategy deployment must be completed in the shortest time possible, otherwise the opportunity will be forever missed.”

Luo Wei frowned, thinking of a new problem.

”That means... Lawyer Lin, you saw through all of this from beginning to end?

”Then why didn’t you stop it? Or we could have tried to use this method to seize the Conglomerate identity ourselves, right?

”We did nothing, allowing the smarter Community 4 to become Conglomerates. Wouldn’t our situation as Civilians be even more difficult?”

Obviously, Community 4 used this loophole method to seize the Conglomerate identity and would certainly not make the same mistake again.

This method of seizing Conglomerate identity could only be used once in the entire game. Even if Community 17 knew about it, they couldn’t use it anymore.

Lin Sizhi looked at Qin Yao, ”Yes, why didn’t we use it?”

Qin Yao pointed at herself, ”You’re asking me?

”Ah... let me think... it’s because... we had no way to implement this strategy at all?

”The prerequisite for this operation is occupying two sets of buttons, but Community 12 completely distrusted us and wouldn’t possibly give us two sets of buttons.”

Cai Zhiyuan nodded, ”Yes, we never had the possibility of becoming Conglomerates from the very beginning, so there was no need to struggle.

”As for whether Community 4 or Community 12 being Conglomerates is more advantageous for our situation, that’s hard to say.

”On this point, I had already discussed it with Lawyer Lin before.

”Lawyer Lin prefers to let bad people become the main enemy, since bad people’s behavioral patterns are relatively predictable.”

Luo Wei still frowned, not quite agreeing with such an explanation.

She certainly knew that implementing this strategy required occupying two sets of buttons, but she believed they should have tried their utmost to fight for two sets of buttons because such an opportunity was too precious. Once successful, it would be enough to establish a huge advantage, even making the subsequent games lose suspense.

Even if the implementation conditions weren’t mature, they should have tried their best to attempt it, right? The results wouldn’t get any worse anyway.

Or they could simply expose Community 4’s conspiracy. No matter what, they shouldn’t let a smarter community become Conglomerates.

Luo Wei realized that in terms of gaming philosophy, there was quite a disagreement between her and these two male players but she didn’t say much more. After all, she was just a newcomer, and her voice in this team probably carried even less weight than Qin Yao’s.

...

The third round of the game had already begun, and Fan Zehui looked utterly dejected.

Zhou Rong, Zhou Guifen, and He Ming were also all very downcast.

They had originally started with an excellent hand. As long as this round’s investments were completed smoothly, they could ensure they would always hold the Conglomerate position securely, and the game would no longer have major variables but one trivial oversight directly caused them to fall from heaven to earth.

This enormous gap was very difficult for ordinary people to accept.

Of course, the good news was that the investments from the first round had now yielded returns.

Fan Zehui went to exchange investment vouchers and obtained investment profits.

On Community 17’s side, just as Cai Zhiyuan was about to press the ’Work’ button, Han Mengying brought another Community 4 player and directly swiped their identity cards on these two buttons, seizing the work and income opportunities.

”Sorry, we’re requisitioning these work opportunities this time.”

Han Mengying had a smile on her face, though no hint of apology could be seen.
