God's Imitator

Cai Zhiyuan paused slightly and continued explaining, ”Suppose I now say, ’I have a strong ability to perceive temperature,’ what kind of ability would this specifically be?

”I would need to be able to accurately judge the specific environmental temperature through physical sensation, with an error within 1-2 degrees. That would be called strong.

”If I can only sense hot and cold but can’t tell the specific temperature, that doesn’t count, because except for people in vegetative states, everyone can sense hot and cold.

”Strong perception ability must be quantifiable to be considered strong.

”Strong reality perception ability actually means more accurate perception of details and numbers in reality.

”For example, everyone can perceive that an apple selling for 100 yuan is too expensive, but what specific price wouldn’t be expensive? You need to give a number precise to the decimal point to be considered relatively strong perception.”

Fu Chen suddenly understood, ”So this is the answer to the livelihood questions in market research!”

Cai Zhiyuan nodded, ”Yes, the reason I say the fundamental cause of your wrong judgments was arrogance is that after entering the game, you completely treated Aunt Su as a useless burden.

”And Aunt Su herself probably thought the same.

”So you failed to correctly recognize Aunt Su’s special value in this game. Even though the game gave hints, you still subconsciously ignored them.”In fact, Aunt Su could have played a much bigger role in this game.

”For instance, just by bringing her to participate in market research, you could have actively chosen livelihood questions all along.

”Like that spinach price question Renshu mentioned, you could have even tried additional investment.

”The optimal personnel allocation for this game was Fu Chen as president, with the other three as executives.”

Li Renshu lowered her head in thought, ”Yes, looking back, it’s indeed so.

”Fu Chen is the only male, physically stronger than all of us, and has a spirit of dedication. He could endure longer in the cold storage.

”At the same time, as an unjudged neutral player, Fu Chen would be more likely to listen to both Xu Tong’s and Aunt Su’s opinions and find compromising solutions.

”Aunt Su as an executive could stay at the company or participate in answering questions. Whenever encountering livelihood questions, she could almost certainly win them steadily.

”Xu Tong and I could freely allocate tasks, with one answering questions and one managing the company.”

Fu Chen suddenly realized something, ”Wait, doesn’t that mean the room allocation when we first entered the game was optimal?

”Could this also be calculated by the God’s Imitator?

”Impossible, he’s not a god. How could he predict that Renshu and I would voluntarily enter the game?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”Of course he couldn’t predict it, but the God’s Imitator fixed the sinners in executive offices in the rules, which is also a kind of hint.

”No matter who the two people freely entering the game are, they could allocate like this:

”The person with stronger logical thinking and knowledge reserves becomes an executive and leads market research, while the remaining person becomes president.

”This could still achieve optimal allocation.

”Even if Fu Chen and Li Renshu hadn’t participated, replacing them with Lawyer Lin, me, or Officer Cao would be sufficient for presidential duties.”

Jiang He thought of another possibility, ”What if Boss Wang went in?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”Brother Wang wouldn’t go in, because these two positions are voluntary sign-ups. Random selection only happens when no one signs up.

”Any player who voluntarily signs up for a judgment game must have the idea of ’protecting the weak’ and must be in their prime and full of dedication.

”That is to say, this selection mechanism and initial room arrangement contain certain goodwill, cleverly excluding the possibility of ’relatively selfish strong people entering the game.’

”You just didn’t feel it.

”Of course, if no one volunteers and random selection occurs, any kind of result is possible.

”But if you can’t find two people willing to participate in judgment games to help among 10 people in a community, then total annihilation would be deserved.”

Fu Chen felt somewhat deflated. He should have been more assertive about becoming president.

After all the analysis, they had made the worst choice.

As Cai Zhiyuan said, when the three of them treated Su Xiucen as a pure burden, this mistake was already predetermined.

Cai Zhiyuan continued, ”Of course, having Aunt Su as president severely weakened your abilities in market research, but it couldn’t be called a fatal error.

”As I said before, this game is actually quite tolerant, with many ways to survive.

”Another mistake you made was realizing the role of virtual employees too late.

”Before June, you should have connected ’job positions’ with ’economic winter.’”

Wang Yongxin shook his head, ”Let me interject. This is exactly where I completely disagree.

”Who would think of such a hidden mechanism where not hiring enough virtual employees would keep the economic winter going indefinitely?

”Those are just virtual employees!

”When you play a computer game, do you also consider whether those virtual digital people have families? Why should I consider virtual employees?”

Cai Zhiyuan asked back, ”Then when you lay off people in reality, don’t you have the same mindset?

”An ordinary bottom-tier worker, lay them off if you want. There are plenty of workers outside anyway.

”Running a company is so difficult for me, do I really need to consider a bottom-tier worker?

”After being laid off, they can just apply to other companies, right? Whether they can find work or make ends meet, what does that have to do with me as a boss?

”As a parachuted executive, what do I care how long this old employee has worked at the company? Just a slacker anyway, should have been laid off long ago.

”This mindset is completely the same as toward virtual employees, isn’t it?

”If you have this mindset, then that’s right, because this game told you from the beginning that it’s a judgment game, targeting exactly people like you.”

Wang Yongxin was stunned and didn’t know how to refute for a moment.

Cai Zhiyuan continued explaining, ”In reality, company presidents might practice nepotism, prioritizing executives’ interests while ignoring the life and death of bottom-tier workers.

”Layoffs without compensation, bottom-tier salary cuts while executive raises are everywhere.

”In the game, players are company management, prioritizing their own interests while ignoring virtual employees’ life and death.

”To get more visa time when the game ends, they lay off all virtual employees.

”Doesn’t this perfectly reflect real-world situations?

”Is this hidden rule too excessive? It’s indeed hidden quite deep, but the game gave enough hints.

”First, this game’s mechanism isn’t complex. The rules clearly stated ’economic winter will only end when certain conditions are met.’ Even using elimination, you should have excluded other factors and realized it was related to virtual employees.

”Besides that, there were at least two key hints in the game. One was misunderstood by you, the other was ignored.

”The first hint is written on the back of the work badge: ’Remember, you are acting.’”

Li Renshu thought for a moment, ”We all noticed this sentence, but we couldn’t reach consensus on its meaning.

”Xu Tong thought this sentence meant to remember the falseness of acting and not become too immersed, while Aunt Su and Fu Chen thought it meant we should fully embody or even transcend our acting roles.”
