God's Imitator

Employee compensation does to some extent represent their ability, so the more employees and the higher their compensation, the more data they report.

High-salary employees are more capable, so they report more data, which also seems reasonable but many times high-salary employees aren’t necessarily truly strong, they might also be parasites within the company.

For instance, some companies actually thrive after laying off all their executives.

Many low-salary employees may not lack ability, they simply haven’t been placed in specific positions and therefore lack a stage to showcase themselves.

In the game, the data pop-ups are a blatant red herring.

According to the game rules, if a company has one employee earning 7,000 per month and seven employees earning 1,000 per month, the latter group actually contributes much more to the data pop-up probability than the former.

Because while the amounts are the same, the number of people is clearly greater but the data pop-ups will only appear from the 7,000 per month employee.

This actually represents how in reality, minor supervisors steal credit from grassroots employees.

The fourth rule actually represents the employee training mechanism in reality.

As long as those low-salary employees are given certain time (3 rounds) and space (no high-salary employees taking up positions in the company), they can also play a role similar to high-salary employees.Of course, these rules are all hidden from players and aren’t easy to guess but suppose we let an ordinary worker make choices based on instinct, they would most likely, out of disgust for those minor supervisors, lay off high-salary employees and hire many low-salary employees, finding the optimal solution for this aspect through instinct.

On the contrary, a professional human resources manager like Xu Tong, although she had vague suspicions, ultimately couldn’t figure it out because she mixed in too many professional theories and ended up outsmarting herself.

If her proposal had been to lay off high-salary employees and hire low-salary employees to full capacity, this plan would have immediately gained Su Xiucen’s approval and could have completed both their judgment tasks in one go.

Cai Zhiyuan continued, ”Of course, this also means there is indeed a loophole in the game, or what we could call a ’perfect solution.’

”Xu Tong, you once asked: can we lay off all employees and then hire them back in some later round?

”Now looking from a god’s perspective, it’s completely possible. Whether you call it a loophole or a backdoor, you can indeed play this way, and it can greatly reduce the game’s difficulty.

”But the only question is: after laying off the employees, are you really willing to hire them back?

”Obviously, in the view of the God’s Imitator who designed this game, if you’re truly willing to hire them back, then exploiting this loophole wouldn’t be unacceptable.”

This question stumped Xu Tong.

Indeed, this was an obvious rule loophole, or backdoor, but not everyone could use it.

At least Xu Tong and Tian Fan couldn’t use it.

After laying off all employees, each round could save at least thirty to forty thousand minutes of visa time, which was a huge temptation.

Since they had already decided to lay everyone off, the company’s cash flow must be very tight, and they were prepared to do without any data.

In this situation, hiring employees back had absolutely no visible benefits.

The only reason would be conscience and social responsibility.

If a player laid off all employees right when entering the game, then hired them all back in the 12th round, even filling all positions, they could obtain maximized profits but obviously, without knowing the rules, very few players could make such a choice.

Everyone fell into silence.

Clearly, after seriously analyzing the game rules, they had reached a somewhat despairing conclusion.

Jiang He summarized, ”So... ’Financial Sources Game’ as a judgment game isn’t harsh at all, it’s even excessively lenient.

”This game provided plenty of hints and backdoors, but players still inevitably stepped into some traps...

”No wonder the Gallery’s evaluation of it isn’t high, only B-level...”

To spare Li Renshu’s feelings, she didn’t continue but everyone present understood what the rest of the content was.

Li Renshu and Xu Tong’s battle of wits with the rules might not have been as effective as simply switching to someone else who played purely on intuition.

Of course, Community 17 did find the correct solution at the end, while Tian Fan from Community 8 performed even worse in this game.

As a business elite, he thought he made the best decisions at every step, but ultimately his solution proved wrong.

Yang Yuting was somewhat puzzled, ”Why? Why is this judgment game so lenient?

”This is strange, right? What purpose does the God’s Imitator who designed this game have?”

After pondering for a moment, Cao Haichuan asked back, ”Who said judgment games must not be lenient?

”The God’s Imitator who designed ’Financial Sources Game’ might be showing us another possibility: God’s Imitators can try to help players avoid overly harsh and unreasonable judgments.

”Only endure judgments that match their crimes.

”Of course, such behavior might not be advocated by the Gallery, but it’s feasible within the rules.

”From this review, ’Financial Sources Game’ and ’King’s Judgment’ are like two sides of a coin, completely opposite.

”Both being judgment games, they have many ways to clear them.

”But ’King’s Judgment’ targeted Uncle Ding’s character traits and completely blocked all paths to survival.

”’Financial Sources Game’ was exactly the opposite, letting the two judged individuals help each other, fighting for as many survival opportunities as possible.

”It’s just... some players inevitably disappoint the designer’s good intentions.”

Jiang He was somewhat confused, ”But why didn’t this God’s Imitator try to make the hints more explicit?”

Cao Haichuan looked at her somewhat helplessly, ”Although we still don’t understand the specific mechanism by which the Gallery selects games and God’s Imitators, from the fact that ’games have ratings,’ not every God’s Imitator’s proposal can gain the Gallery’s approval.

”When the Gallery selects sinners, it doesn’t seem to care whether the crimes they committed really deserve death.

”Wang Yongxin, Cai Zhiyuan, Uncle Ding, Aunt Su, which of their crimes reached the legal level requiring execution? But the Gallery obviously encourages God’s Imitators to kill them.

”I suspect games that are too simple and lenient won’t gain the Gallery’s approval.

”Only games that the Gallery believes have a certain death rate will be prioritized for selection.

”For God’s Imitators, making games simpler might get them rejected by the Gallery, leading to other more cruel games being selected.

”Even if they truly want to save people, they can probably only do this much at most.

”As for whether they can seize the opportunity once in the game... that depends on the players themselves.”

Li Renshu had always been someone who didn’t show her emotions, but at this moment, her expression was clearly dejected.

She sighed quietly and stood up, ”Let’s end today’s review here. I need some time to think things through properly.”
