God's Imitator

After the introductions, everyone roughly understood how this game worked.

In essence, it was about earning as much visa time as possible through ’work,’ ’investment,’ and other methods.

Additionally, Conglomerate players and players who entered the management also had some extra benefits, such as gaining additional income through tax collection.

Of course, these two identities weren’t set in stone.

The ’Management’ was selected from ‘Adult’ and ‘Old Age’ players based on wealth. As long as players accumulated enough wealth, they had a chance to enter the management.

And as long as they could secure enough votes in the management, they could change their community from ’Civilian’ to ’Conglomerate.’

Of course, many rules were still unclear and needed further verification within the game.

Luo Wei stared at the big screen with great interest. As an actuary, she considered herself absolutely smart and had no problem understanding these rules.

The game type was also very much to her taste but finding the optimal strategy from the rules would still require some time.

Qin Yao was surprised, ”They specifically set up an ’Offshore Area.’ Are they encouraging us to leave the country?”Cai Zhiyuan shook his head slightly, ”It’s hardly encouragement. From the current situation, the emigration rule looks simple, you just need to earn 100,000 to escape, but the actual operation is somewhat harsh.

”Two issues need consideration:

”First, other players won’t allow you to escape. The management will definitely set very high emigration taxes.

”Second, suppose you’re in the management yourself and have earned a lot of money, then you have no reason to escape. Because staying would allow you to continue earning more money.”

Qin Yao nodded, ”Mm, indeed.”

After seriously considering the rules, Lin Sizhi looked at Cai Zhiyuan, ”Any thoughts?”

Cai Zhiyuan was still carefully reading the rules, ”Not yet.”

Lin Sizhi looked toward Community 12, ”Then let me go to Community 12 first and see if I can try to cooperate.”

Cai Zhiyuan nodded, ”Good.”

Community 12 had two familiar faces: Zhou Rong and Zhou Guifen.

Both were players Lin Sizhi had encountered in the ’Blind Date Game.’

Zhou Guifen had even performed bel canto during the talent show.

”Hello there, we meet again.”

Lin Sizhi stopped at a distance that was neither too close nor too far from the four people, speaking in a friendly tone:

”Interested in cooperation? From the game rules, this game has an optimal solution where ’everyone benefits.’ As Conglomerate players, you can gain the most profit, but the premise is that you need to make certain key decisions carefully.”

Zhou Guifen looked very interested, with an expectant expression on her face. The words ”sure” were about to slip out the next second but before she could speak, the player whose ID badge showed the name ’Fan Zehui’ stepped forward slightly, blocking her behind him.

”Thank you for your kind offer, Mr. Lin. But we want to think about the optimal strategy for this game ourselves. Sorry about that.

”If we have any intention to cooperate, I’ll come find you proactively.”

His words were polite, but his actual attitude was quite firm.

Lin Sizhi didn’t mind and just nodded, ”No problem.”

Returning to the other three from Community 17, Qin Yao was somewhat surprised, ”They refused cooperation? That decisively?”

As they spoke, a player from Community 4 also approached Fan Zehui.

This was a female player who looked like a career woman, though her attitude was relatively friendly.

[Community 4 - Han Mengying]

[Identity: Civilian (Management)]

[Age: 40 years old (‘Adult’)]

[Wealth: 5000 minutes visa time]

”Hello, you three!

”Fan Zehui and Zhou Rong, right? Pleased to meet you.

”We three are all ’Management’ in the first round. Would you like to go to the management room together to check the specific operation methods for tax rate adjustments?

”After all, tax rate adjustments concern all management interests and might be the most important rule in the entire game, yet many aspects were unclear in the introduction.”

Faced with Han Mengying’s invitation, Fan Zehui hesitated slightly but still nodded, ”Alright.”

After speaking, he brought Zhou Rong along and walked toward the glass room in the venue, the ’Management Room,’ together with Han Mengying.

Qin Yao was somewhat surprised, ”Huh? How did the other side get invited away so easily! Lawyer Lin’s reputation among players should be much greater than Community 4’s, right?”

Luo Wei thought for a moment, ”Perhaps it’s because of the different approach?

”Coming up and wanting to discuss rules directly seemed too purposeful.

”While Han Mengying from Community 4 is female, looks non-threatening, and started by suggesting they check the management room, with a more friendly attitude.”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head dismissively, ”This has nothing to do with what they talked about.

”It’s precisely because Lawyer Lin is too famous, and Community 12 players witnessed Lin’s performance in the ’Blind Date Game’ firsthand, that they instinctively feel afraid.”

Qin Yao was somewhat puzzled, ”Are they afraid of being deceived by Lawyer Lin? But what Lawyer Lin displayed in the ’Blind Date Game’ before was an absolutely good person image, right?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”In this kind of game, you can’t completely distinguish whether the other party is a ’good person’ or ’bad person.’ You can only roughly distinguish whether they’re ’smart’ or ’stupid.’

”Placing hope in the other party’s goodwill is unreliable.

”Lawyer Lin indeed saved many people in the ’Blind Date Game’ before, but in many people’s view, he did so also for self-preservation, which doesn’t prove he holds goodwill toward all players.

”Even quite the opposite, the intelligence he displayed makes many players instinctively afraid, making cooperation harder to achieve.

”Like a god who can easily manipulate your fate, no matter how benevolent they appear, you should keep your distance.”

Qin Yao thought for a moment, ”Then should we send someone else?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”No need. If we send someone else, they’ll just think it’s a puppet sent by Lawyer Lin. The result would be the same.”

He looked at the nameplate on Luo Wei’s chest. At this time, Luo Wei was Community 17’s only ‘Adult’ player and also a member of the management.

”Luo Wei, you should also go check the situation at the management room, understand the specific rules, and listen to what they’re saying.

”If they try to kick you out, there’s no need to argue with them.”

Luo Wei nodded in agreement, then walked toward the management room and swiped her ID badge to enter.

After Luo Wei walked away, Cai Zhiyuan suggested, ”Let’s also go check out the other facilities.

”From the current situation, Community 12 is stupider than imagined, while Community 4 is smarter than imagined.

”Lawyer Lin, do you think Community 12 will be deceived?”
