God's Imitator

These words stunned many people.

They couldn’t imagine at all how Su Xiucen could play a role in such a game that seemed related to business management.

Li Renshu looked at everyone, ”I need some time to calm my emotions.

”Everyone can disperse for now. We’ll conduct the post-game review tonight.”

After speaking, she walked toward the second floor and returned to her room to rest.

Fu Chen and Xu Tong also left with heavy hearts.

Many others dispersed as well. Wang Yongxin and Cao Haichuan sat at the long table, both looking toward the big screen in unison.

After a moment, Wang Yongxin said, ”I want to check the detailed rules of the Financial Sources Game.”

Soon, lengthy rule text appeared on the big screen.

However, compared to Li Renshu and the others’ actual experience in the game, some content was incomplete, namely the specific questions in the ’Market Research’ activities. The rules only roughly described the general characteristics of the four domain questions but didn’t provide a question bank.

To know the specific questions, they would need to spend additional visa time to purchase individual players’ game details.

Cai Zhiyuan and Yang Yuting also spontaneously gathered around, each finding two chairs to sit down.

Everyone fell silent and began trying hard to think through the various details in the game.

...

Evening.

Everyone had already gathered around the long table.

Li Renshu was the last to sit down and began the post-game review of the ’Financial Sources Game.’

During the day, quite a few people had already looked at the game rules, but no corresponding discussion had taken place yet.

Li Renshu recounted the entire game process as objectively as possible.

Then, she looked at Wang Yongxin, ”Brother Wang, I want to ask you first: what do you think would happen if you participated in this game, replacing any one of us three?”

Wang Yongxin was silent for a moment, then answered quite honestly, ”There are two possibilities.

”If I encountered an opponent who wasn’t as ruthless with layoffs as me, dragging it out until the opponent went bankrupt, I should be able to come out safely.

”If I encountered an opponent more ruthless with layoffs than me, then I would die in this game, just like Tian Fan.

”To be precise, the strategy I would adopt would be more than 90% similar to Tian Fan’s, and I would even tend to lay off all employees at the very beginning, rather than waiting until after the natural disaster.”

Fu Chen reminded, ”But these decisions ultimately need the president to make the final call.”

Wang Yongxin nodded, ”Yes, this is the main difference between me and Tian Fan.

”At the beginning of the game, I would do everything possible to compete for the president position, rather than possibly being just an executive.

”I cannot accept situations where my decisions are not executed.”

Everyone fell into silence. As Wang Yongxin said, if he and Tian Fan entered this game together as opponents, one of them would inevitably die.

Because to win this game, the most crucial point was ending the economic winter, which required achieving three specific conditions:

[1. The game has proceeded for at least 6 rounds.]

[2. The total number of employees hired by both companies has reached or exceeded 30.]

[3. Both companies’ account balances are positive.]

The first and third conditions would be easy for Wang Yongxin to achieve, but the second was almost impossible.

If the economic winter didn’t end, then the game would continue indefinitely, and with each round, the company’s income would be reduced by another 10,000.

The final result would be 100% bankruptcy.

Of course, bankruptcy has an order. If the first company hired 15 employees and the second company had no employees, then conversely the first company would go bankrupt first, and the second company would win.

After surveying everyone, Li Renshu said, ”Now that we’ve seen the game rules, we can more or less summarize from a god’s perspective:

”Although this game has company management as its theme, the actual company management gameplay is just a red herring.

”It’s a judgment game, targeting two types of people:

”The first type is people like Xu Tong, Tian Fan, and Brother Wang, who exploit employees, bully the weak, and have no compassion for the vulnerable.”

She looked at Wang Yongxin and Xu Tong, ”I might be speaking rather directly, please don’t take offense.”

Wang Yongxin waved his hand, ”I know what kind of person I am, no need to sugarcoat things.”

Li Renshu continued, ”The second type is people like Aunt Su and Jiao Hongtao, who don’t understand trade-offs, are unwilling to give up on anyone, and may even cause more harm due to their obsessions.

”So, the game content tests players from both ’management ability’ and ’social responsibility’ aspects.

”If you have management ability but no social responsibility, blindly laying off too many employees, then the economic winter won’t end, and ultimately the company with more ruthless layoffs will survive.

”If you have social responsibility but no management ability, stubbornly refusing to lay off employees and unable to balance income and expenditure, the company will eventually go bankrupt.

”Only by having both management ability and social responsibility can you truly end the economic winter and receive excess returns in the final three rounds.

”In all other situations, the sinners being judged may face immediate death punishment.”

Cao Haichuan sighed silently, ”So, you two had actually completed the judgment tasks.

”But Aunt Su, even after confirming the game was already won, still chose to enter the cold storage.

”I wonder if this possibility was within the God’s Imitator’s initial expectations.”

Xu Tong looked grim, ”Actually, I still haven’t quite figured it out. Looking back, Aunt Su made most of the right decisions in this game.

”She clearly had no way to discuss with us and didn’t understand company management.”

Everyone was silent for a long time, then Cai Zhiyuan uttered two words, ”Intuition.”

Xu Tong was stunned, ”Hm?”

Cai Zhiyuan explained, ”This result could never be calculated. But if using intuition, it’s relatively easy to achieve.

”I want to remind everyone: when Renshu was reviewing earlier, she mainly used her own and Xu Tong’s perspectives, which makes us subconsciously feel that this game’s main judgment target was Aunt Su.

”But actually, it wasn’t.

”It’s a judgment game simultaneously targeting four people: Aunt Su, Xu Tong, Tian Fan, and Jiao Hongtao. Even looking at the difficulty of achieving conditions, the main judgment targets are Xu Tong and Tian Fan.

”If we analyze with ’judging Aunt Su’ as the main purpose, we can only see half the content of this game. But if we analyze with ’judging Tian Fan’ as the main purpose, this game becomes much more reasonable.

”Although it differs greatly in form from previous judgment games, they all share one common characteristic:

”There are many different ways to solve them, but the simplest solution among them is relying on intuition, on instinct, on natural goodness.

”As long as your thinking when playing this game is ’I want to help as many employees as possible get through the economic winter,’ then you’ll likely achieve all the victory conditions.”
