Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

The entire eight billion people on Earth were filled with deep resentment, truly hating Lu Li to death.

However, just as the resentment reached its peak, an astounding message spread across the globe in an extremely short time.

This was a statement jointly issued by one hundred ninety-two countries around the world, and its content was extremely simple, consisting of only two or three points.

First: All countries elect Lu Li as the ”Father of the Planet”, and in the future, each country must establish at least two ”Father of the Planet” memorial halls for future generations to admire.

Second: From now on, October 20th each year will become an international holiday that all countries must observe; whether already established or newly formed in the future, each country must acknowledge this international day called ”Mr. Lu Day”, also known as ”Human Rebirth Day”. If any country fails to comply, they will face global opposition.

Third: In history textbooks worldwide, starting from primary education, the deeds of our Ancestral Gods must be recorded, so humanity remembers their great contributions.

”Uh...”

”What’s going on?”

”Is this message fake?”

”A statement issued jointly by one hundred ninety-two countries? I’ve never seen anything like that; I believe there’s a seventy to eighty percent chance it’s fake.”

Countless netizens who saw this message instinctively thought it was fake news.

This can’t be serious; how could one hundred ninety-two countries issue such a trivial statement message jointly?

Great contribution?

The so-called Ancestral Gods spread rumors that got Earthlings into such trouble, what contribution did they make?

Many netizens initially dismissed it, thinking it was a prank by someone idle, creating fake news to make a fool of everyone.

Until a netizen suddenly exclaimed, ”Dang, it doesn’t seem to be fake news; I just checked various national websites, and almost all have this announcement!”

”Ah?”

”Really?”

”Does every country’s website have this announcement?”

”Hey, you better not be joking with us.”

Some netizens were still somewhat skeptical.

But at this moment, exclamations rang out one after another.

”Oh my!”

”It’s actually true!”

”WTH, not only does every country’s website have this announcement, but the news channels have also broadcast an emergency notification, confirming the election of the Ancestral Gods as ’Father of the Planet’, and setting October 20th each year as ’Mr. Lu Day’, also ’Human Rebirth Day.’

”Oh my god, it’s actually true? I can hardly believe it!”

The sounds of surprise and alarm immediately attracted many who initially regarded it as rumors.

Those who, until now, still couldn’t believe it was true, began to browse one country’s website after another, using translation software for languages they couldn’t understand.

Soon after, these people finished reading the content on the one hundred ninety-two countries’ websites and were all shocked to find that not only was this news true, but it was also pinned to the top of the homepage on each country’s website!

Instantly, the entire internet was in an uproar.

”What exactly is happening?”

”Why do countries suddenly revere the Ancestral Gods so much?”

”Could it be that the apocalypse didn’t come because the Ancestral Gods secretly resisted or eliminated the gamma-ray burst?”

”It must be, otherwise how could all one hundred ninety-two countries release such news at this time?”

”Why didn’t we hear anything about this?”

”If you could notice even the slightest sign, humanity would be doomed. Do you know the power of a gamma-ray burst? The energy it releases in one second is equivalent to 0.15 of the sun. Can our Earth withstand such a violent energy impact? Definitely not! So, I say with great responsibility, if the gamma-ray burst really did come, and there’s no sign up to now, it must be because the Ancestral Gods dealt with it secretly, there’s no other reason.”

”Yes, I also think the Ancestral Gods quietly solved the gamma-ray burst problem, and once the countries of the world realized this, they immediately elected the Ancestral Gods as Earth’s ’Father of the Planet’ to express their utmost respect, and also designated today, the day of humanity’s impending doom, as ’Human Rebirth Day’. Just think, if Mr. Lu hadn’t stopped the gamma-ray burst, humanity would be extinct by now, and we would indeed be reborn. That’s why the one hundred ninety-two countries labeled today ’Human Rebirth Day’ with profound meaning!”

”So the Ancestral Gods were so great, resolving such immense trouble for humanity without seeking any return, and didn’t even step forward to tell a single person?”

”I always knew the Ancestral Gods wouldn’t abandon us.”

”Thank you, Ancestral Gods, for saving all of humanity on Earth.”

Once countless netizens confirmed that the news was indeed released by one hundred ninety-two countries globally, they immediately realized what was going on and speculated that Lu Li had quietly resolved the gamma-ray burst and saved humanity.

Although they didn’t know how Lu Li solved the gamma-ray burst, they still thanked him online at the first opportunity.

Of course, not everyone agreed with this idea.

Some thought the matter was still open for debate.

Or rather, they even suspected that the global leaders were coerced by Lu Li to issue these announcements.

”There hasn’t been any video evidence so far; how can you be sure the Ancestral Gods secretly solved the gamma-ray burst?”

”Exactly, as they say, seeing is believing; while the world did issue a tribute to the Ancestral Gods, there’s no direct evidence that the gamma-ray burst didn’t occur because they stepped in.”

”Don’t blame me for being skeptical, but whether the gamma-ray burst came at all is still up for discussion.”

”Hey, look at your excitement, as if the gamma-ray burst really happened and was then solved by the Ancestral Gods. Have you seen any footage? Don’t blindly speculate and get all emotional day after day. The world surely has reasons for releasing this information, which they will explain in time. Then we can see if the Ancestral Gods quietly resolved the gamma-ray burst.”

Some believe the worldwide message release indicates the Ancestral Gods secretly dealt with the gamma-ray burst, while others disagree.

For instance, some people who, having learned about the impending apocalypse, quit their jobs or spent all their money recklessly, now find themselves with no means to live; they were the first to refute the claim.

In other words, this group, due to ”self-misjudgment”, landed in a dire situation; they were unwilling to face reality and thus doubted Lu Li’s supposed world-saving actions.

Simply put, these people didn’t want to attribute their inability to survive to themselves, so subconsciously they believed that the apocalypse was a rumor and that the blame for their predicament should fall on the rumor creator, Lu Li.

If they admitted that Lu Li saved the world, the fault would undeniably be theirs.

Even though many were being stubborn, more people believed that the global websites wouldn’t make baseless claims.

They firmly believed that Lu Li had clandestinely resolved the gamma-ray burst, preventing the apocalypse.

For a while, the internet saw two conflicting views.

Although a majority believed Lu Li saved the world, their words weren’t as fervent as those of the other side, resulting in a temporary stalemate.

Such discussions would typically lead to indefinite argument since no direct evidence confirmed which viewpoint was correct.

Nonetheless, while everyone was locked in heated debate, a definitive video suddenly appeared online, ending the argument once and for all, proving that Lu Li indeed saved the world!
