Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

”Three Flowers Gathering at the Top, Five Qis Facing Origin” is an extremely profound realm in the Daoism cultivation system.

However, Lu Li’s ”Three Flowers Gathering at the Top, Five Qis Facing Origin” is different from the Daoist Inner Core cultivation descriptions.

He simply felt that his current realm was very similar to what he had read in the Daoist scriptures.

So he judged that he had evolved to the legendary realm of ”Three Flowers Gathering at the Top, Five Qis Facing Origin”.

In the Daoist Inner Core cultivation system, Three Flowers Gathering at the Top means the essence, qi, and spirit converge at the mystic point, becoming invulnerable to all calamities;

While Five Qis Facing Origin refers to the practice of opening the Ren and Du meridians, gathering the five qis of the body in the mind, thus achieving a worry-free ”immortal” state, free from worldly troubles.

If we were to describe it with specialized Daoist Inner Core cultivation terms,

”Three Flowers Gathering at the Top, Five Qis Facing Origin” is in the realm of Refining Spirit to Return to Void.

It is just one step away from the highest realm of Refining Void and Merging with the Dao.

Lu Li sensed that he had ”returned to void”, which is why he felt he had reached this realm.

What is Refining Spirit to Return to Void?

Return to Void refers to returning to a state of void, a state of the Dao body.

At this realm, practitioners no longer attach to form and specific cultivation techniques.

Instead, they let their spiritual awareness merge with the fundamental Dao of the cosmos.

They experience a realm where they are one with heaven and earth, transcending life and death.

This state transcends the boundaries of matter and spirit.

It reaches a sublime state of effortless governance, conforming to nature.

”Before, I was like both alive and dead; whether it was the body or the consciousness, they almost perished entirely.”

Lu Li carefully recalled the past, ”However, whether my body perished or my consciousness was annihilated, it could never erase my will.”

It was an immensely magnificent will, transcending the boundaries of life and death, surpassing everything in the world.

If described like this, many might not understand what kind of realm Lu Li was currently in.

In short, he was no longer limited by the demise of the body and consciousness.

Even if someone could discover and annihilate his ”soul”, it would still be futile.

As long as his will did not disperse, even if the cosmos ceased to exist, he could still persist and, upon absorbing enough energy, resurrect.

Immortality is already the highest realm for cultivators.

Lu Li has reached a level beyond immortality.

So high that if one had to use a term to describe it, it would be eternal indestructibility.

He has now, in some sense, merged with parts of the cosmos and can effortlessly wield some of the cosmos’s Power of Law, rather than merely touching it previously.

Of course, using the Power of Law requires immensely vast energy.

Lu Li checked his energy status, ”The magnitude of energy I currently possess is roughly as immense as two suns.”

After completing the sixth deep evolution, his ”energy value” has doubled.

If it were only a simple increase in power, it wouldn’t be enough to surprise Lu Li.

Because his improvements now are far beyond that.

The so-called three flowers and five qis are not real entities.

They are perceptions influenced by the Daoist scriptures that Lu Li presented.

In reality, once the ”flame of true self” is fully ignited, he truly achieved ”return to void”.

Within himself, he formed a ”vacuum decay” akin to, ultimately evolving a ”blank canvas” of void, capable of birthing new cosmoses.

He can freely ”fill” within this ”blank canvas” and even use energy to transform into reality.

Lu Li’s current energy intensity is far from being able to evolve a cosmos.

However, the ”flame of true self” has already ”doodled” some things on this ”blank canvas”.

That is an energy-generating ”doodle”, which operates like a perpetual motion machine.

Lu Li’s gaze became sharp, ”From now on, I no longer need to rely on absorbing energy from the outside world, but can continuously generate energy within myself, thereby enhancing myself and, influenced by ’will’, evolving to a higher level.”

Indeed, he doesn’t need to do anything; the energy within will also grow day by day.

This is because he has touched ”void”.

The ”Huainanzi” once mentioned ”void”: In the beginning, there was void, void gave birth to the cosmos, the cosmos gave birth to primordial qi. Primordial qi has foundational sources, the ethereal becomes light to form the sky, the heavy becomes dense to form the earth. The light mimics simplicity, the dense coagulates with difficulty, thus heaven is natural while the earth formalizes afterward.

”Void” can give birth to the cosmos, which is incredibly astonishing.

Lu Li examined his body, ”My physical form can shatter into void and reform at any moment. At this stage, I have already transcended the realm of biological life, reaching a higher dimension.”

This dimension is inexplicable with existing human knowledge.

If forced to explain, Lu Li could only say he is evolving towards high-dimensional life.

One day, when he reaches the destination, he will truly achieve ”dimensional reduction strikes” in this cosmos.

Similar to the ”Two-Dimensional Foil” in ”The Three-Body Problem”.

As long as Lu Li can truly become ”void”, he can accomplish it effortlessly.

To give rise and extinguish an entire cosmos in a single thought is straightforward for ”void”.

”Currently, I certainly cannot do that; the difference in power is too vast.”

”However...” Lu Li’s gaze flickered slightly, ”To extinguish an entire star system starts to feel as simple as eating and drinking water to me.”

He couldn’t help but marvel secretly.

Completing the sixth deep evolution, he finally possessed the terrifying power to ”destroy star systems”!

Before this, although he had the ability to easily annihilate half the solar system, he would still suffer injuries from the violent energy shocks released by a star’s explosion.
