Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

The second group of spectators to witness Lu Li’s tragic scene were George, the Great Emperor, Xiong Wen Si Lang, Lady Sanna, and other global leaders.

After those inside the super spaceship saw this scene, about seven to eight minutes passed before the surveillance devices and artificial satellites surrounding Venus finally transmitted the captured images back to Earth as signals.

Although the technology of countries like Old Ugly and the Big Goose ranks among the best on Earth, it simply cannot compare with the ”Savior” mecha personally crafted by Lu Li.

Therefore, the footage they captured was undoubtedly less complete and less clear and vivid than that from the ”Savior” mecha.

Yet, even so, everyone felt an overwhelming heaviness in their hearts after watching the mere eight to nine seconds of video, sitting there in complete silence.

George stared at the pitch-black screen, which was long empty, lost in deep thought.

The Great Emperor’s eyes revealed a complex mixture of emotions.

Xiong Wen Si Lang, Lady Sanna, and the remaining hundred and eighty or ninety global leaders did not jump for joy because Earth was saved.

On the contrary, their eyes were filled with sorrow and reflection.

They had just witnessed the scene of Lu Li standing against the gamma-ray burst, which appeared immensely tragic.

Everyone could tell that Lu Li could have avoided it without any harm to himself.

But instead, he chose to withstand a blast with energy comparable to 1.2 suns with his body to prevent the gamma-ray burst from breaking through the last defense, eventually vanishing in cosmic space.

What kind of spirit would disregard one’s own survival just to protect Earth?

George’s previous reverence for Lu Li was entirely due to the latter’s incredible power, but now, after watching the eight-second clip of Lu Li withstanding the gamma-ray burst, he was deeply moved by this young Eastern man’s noble spirit, and sincerely felt tremendous admiration for Lu Li!

The Great Emperor, Xiong Wen Si Lang, and Lady Sanna, along with all the other leaders, were all convinced by Lu Li’s spirit of self-sacrifice at this moment.

After several minutes of silence.

George suddenly lifted his head, looked at the crowd, who were still overwhelmed with mixed emotions, and softly said, ”Although Mr. Lu has fallen into the endless starry sky, I think we should do something for such a great person.”

The Great Emperor immediately responded, nodding slightly, ”Indeed, we should do something for Mr. Lu, so that all humanity remembers his greatness that illuminated the world with the light of his life.”

”I’m not sure what you all think, but personally, I believe we should elevate Mr. Lu to the status of ’Father of the Earth.’”

”’Father of the Earth’ sounds too harsh, doesn’t it? I think it might be better to call him ’Father of the Planet.’ What are your thoughts, everyone?”

”I agree with both opinions.”

”Me too, if not for Mr. Lu, the Earth’s atmosphere might have been destroyed by now. He protected it with his life, making the title ’Father of the Planet’ seem appropriate to me.”

”I agree.”

”Mr. Lu is worthy of the title ’Father of the Planet’!”

Without a single dissenting opinion, the leaders of 192 countries worldwide passed a global resolution.

If Lu Li were still alive, such a swift consensus on a potentially globally impactful decision would be quite normal.

After all, everyone was in awe of the Ancestral Gods’ deterrence, so they would naturally be eager to flatter.

Now that, in everyone’s mind, Lu Li had perished in endless space, with not even an inch of his body recoverable, at most, only a tomb in name could be erected.

The fact that they could still reach such a significant decision so swiftly shows how deeply they revered Lu Li.

Once the decision was made, George quickly added, ”Today marks the first day Mr. Lu used the light of life to ignite the torch of human continuity for us. If it weren’t for him, humanity would be extinct by now. Therefore, I propose that October 20th every year be designated as Mr. Lu Day, also known as Human Resurrection Day. What do you think of this proposal?”

The Great Emperor was the first to support, ”I agree, Mr. Lu has given so much for humanity and saved us from extinction, there should indeed be a special day to celebrate him. On this day, I hope the whole world takes a day off to commemorate Mr. Lu’s contribution to humanity.”

”I agree.”

”Support.”

”Indeed.”

Xiong Wen Si Lang, Lady Sanna, and the remaining hundred and eighty or ninety leaders had no objections.

Soon, one proposal after another was finalized, and the global leaders started making calls to initiate a joint announcement of this matter.

...

Online.

Numerous ”hardly thoughtful” netizens, although daring to be angry but not to speak out, were gritting their teeth as they looked at Lu Li’s social media account.

Many found the rumor that the gamma-ray burst was released by Lu Li unbelievable, since almost an hour had passed by now and still, there was no sign of any gamma-ray burst, raising suspicions naturally.

In fact, the rumor itself wasn’t a big deal.

The issue was that many people felt the end of the world was about to arrive and either quit their jobs or spent all their money just to enjoy life before dying.

But now, with the job gone and money spent, you’re telling me the world isn’t ending?

This crap is pushing people to death!

Naturally, how could these people not harbor resentment toward Lu Li?

Of course, while they harbor resentment, they might only dare to complain or curse offline with acquaintances, but wouldn’t dare to say anything online, for fear of being spotted by the Ancestral Gods and accidentally losing their lives.
