Eternal Thief

Looking at the word ‘seal’ in the Language of Ancient Gods, Ace suddenly thought about a simple solution.

He cleared his throat before he imposingly uttered in the Language of Ancient Gods, “UNSEAL!”

Ace looked at the stele with deep anticipation, thinking his solution was most likely to work since the Language of Ancient Gods was used here without any further inscription or anything.

At this point, Ace had already guessed that the Language of Ancient Gods carried some kind of mysterious power, and this language was the source of every known language, or maybe even the runes everyone was familiar with.

Furthermore, the more he learns about the secrets of the Language of Ancient Gods, the more he understood just how terrifying the system was, which gave him a complete understanding of the Language of Ancient Gods since the day it integrated with him.

However, he was still clueless about how to use this language practically. But now that he had the stele, he might find a clue. If the words of the Language of Ancient Gods could be used simply like this, then he would have a terrifying trump card.

Because if by simply writing the word ‘Seal’ can place an unbreakable seal on anything, Ace can use it in many ways and make his enemies’ lives difficult to the extreme. If only it were that simple…

After waiting for a full minute, the ‘Seal’ remained the same, and not even a fluctuation appeared, making Ace smile wryly with a hint of embarrassment.

“Ahem, system, can you unseal this stele? Price isn’t a problem.” Ace could only turn to the system instead of wasting his time, which he didn’t have much of.

Furthermore, he was now again rich with billions of TP at his disposal, and he was determined to continue gaining more even in the Abyss and raise the Thief Rank further to ensure his house members’ safety.

At this, the system’s emotionless voice rang.

“[100 Million Thief will be required to break the Seal, and then another 150 Million to appraise and stabilize the item inside.]”

Ace’s heart raced when he heard the system’s words, “You mean there is a treasure sealed in this stele? Alright, I’ll pay!” His decision was decisive.

After all, since someone who could use the Language of Ancient Gods to seal something in this stele must be a terrifying individual, the item inside would probably be equally extraordinary. Paying 250 million was nothing.

The moment Ace gave his confirmation, something startling yet amazing happened in front of him. The stele suddenly escaped from his grasp and hovered in front of him under the influence of a mysterious power.

The next moment, an ethereal, dark blue chair shot out from Ace’s glabella, which he was pretty familiar with, and it directly penetrated the ‘seal.’

At this moment, under Ace’s widened eyes, the ‘seal’ words suddenly started to flicker, and he didn’t know if he was hallucinating or not. Still, for a moment, he had a vision of a boundless ocean of runic symbols… it was as if a world of symbols was sealed inside that single ‘seal’ word.

However, this vision was fleeting and disappeared just as quickly as it appeared, like a dream. But for some reason, Ace felt he had peered into a hidden secret. Yet, with his current level, he had no idea how to preserve it.

His focus instantly shifted when a ‘crack’ sound appeared, followed by a small shockwave. The ‘seal’ word was crumbling with the stele under Ace’s astounded expression.

But Ace remained calm because the system was handling it, and they were currently within his personal chamber of the Thief’s House. Even if something could go wrong, he was alone here, so he wasn’t much worried.

At that moment, the stele finally shattered, and strangely, the material the stele was made of crumbled into countless light pieces. Ace felt a strange attraction force pull those light pieces directly into the thief’s house space.

Although he wasn’t sure if he was imagining things, he had a feeling he wasn’t, and the Thief’s House Space seemed to be absorbing whatever the stele was made of.

‘Since this stele can be etched with a ‘God Rune,’ it has to be extraordinary. After all, if we follow the same principles as the rune crafting, then the higher a rune level, the more resilient and powerful the material needed to inscribe it.

‘Furthermore, Forbidden Runes can be inscribed on anything and only after I discovered the Star Encompassing Tree and Fruit, did I learn that ‘Forbidden Grade’ materials also exist, which means, to engrave Forbidden Runes I need Forbidden Grade materials.

‘So, following the same principle, what kind of material would it take to inscribe ‘God Rune’ that is boundlessly mysterious even in the eyes of those scheming Sages.

Although I never tried them, since I always considered the Language of Ancient Gods like a key to all languages, something convenient. But now, I understand it wasn’t just some key to all languages but much, much more…’

At this moment, Ace finally saw the ‘thing’ that was revealed after the stele were shattered, and the seal seemed to have been lifted.

“What!?” Ace was dumbfounded when he saw the item inside, and was in utter disbelief, “What in the world…!?”

Right in front of him was a pale beauty in a rainbow dress, with long pointy ears and delicate features like a painting. However, Ace wasn’t shocked by her appearance, but he was shocked because she was not only sealed with the Language of Ancient Gods, but this peculiar beauty’s stature was very tiny, only 2 inches to be exact!

Furthermore, Ace was given another shock when the system chain suddenly yanked and hit the tiny being before retracting back, leaving Ace with a dumbfounded look.

“Why would you hit a dead person?” Ace wondered if the system had some grudge against that tiny woman, or if it was just as frustrated as he was after finding out that he had wasted his effort on a corpse.

Nonetheless, Ace was still curious about who this tiny woman was and why someone would seal her into a stele, not to mention what her race was. He had never heard or seen anyone like her before.

“Is she a legendary Fairy from the folklore I’ve heard in my childhood from the shop owner? So, are they real?” Ace wondered out loud.

But then he was given a shock of his life when, the moment he said ‘Fairy’, the ‘dead’ girl’s eyes suddenly twitched.

Furthermore, a system panel appeared right in front of him; it was the result of the appraisal!
