Eternal Thief

Ace and Alina were surprised by Star’s disclosure.

They knew the Supreme Universal Records had all the information about Fantastic Physiques, Fantastic Meridians, and Bloodlines, and Star had told them the records were mysterious and had no origin. However, they didn’t understand what searching for them could help Alina.

Almost guessing their thoughts, Star continued, “I can understand that you both are confused. But let me tell you how the Supreme Universal Records actually works. The Supreme Universal Records are not like a book; they are like ‘Totems,’ and you can’t just read them like Jade Scrolls.

“In fact, a Supreme Universal Records looks exceptionally ordinary, and if someone didn’t know about its actual characteristics, they would think of it as an antique from the mortal world.

“The only people who can genuinely unlock the Supreme Universal Records are those with corresponding attributes. Like the Supreme Physique Universal Records can only be read by an owner of a Fanatic Physique denoted within the records. At the same time, the Supreme Meridians Universal Records will only respond to Fantastic Meridians within the records, and the same goes for the Supreme Bloodline Universal Records.

“Not only that, but the person, whether the owner of physique, meridians, or bloodline, who activates the records can get all the information about their fantastic physique, meridians, and bloodline.

“This information is not just limited to general knowledge or the characteristics of their connate physiques, meridians, and bloodline, but also information about their innate abilities, advantages, disadvantages, awakening method, and even evolution methods! This is the true purpose of the Supreme Universal Records!”

Realization dawned on Ace and Alina at this moment. They were both intelligent people and instantly got the meaning behind Star’s suggestion about finding the Supreme Physique Universal Records.

“So, if we can find a Supreme Physique Universal Records, and then let Alina activate it, she will be able to get all the knowledge about her fantastic physique, including its weakness, and how to mend or evolve it, right?”

A sharp glimmer flashed past Ace’s eyes because Supreme Universal Records could help not only Alina but all the people with fantastic physiques, meridians, and bloodlines.

“That’s exactly right.” Star acknowledged without hesitation.

“Then why didn’t you tell me before? This method is far more doable than searching for that elusive legend!?” Alina asked with anger and disbelief.

“No, this is equally difficult.” Star suddenly retorted, “Do you think Supreme Universal Records are like common stars in the sky that exist everywhere? In the history of the Celestial Clan, only four totems of Supreme Physique Universal Records, six Supreme Meridians Universal Records, and three Supreme Bloodline Universal Records have been discovered.

“As I said, no one knows where they came from or who created them, and the most common belief is that the Natural Order bestowed them upon all the living. Now, you should understand that even those known Supreme Universal Records have been lost in the long history, and their previous holders were terrifying powers. So, getting the specific one would be just as difficult as searching for the Thousand Sword Lotus.”

Alina’s expression went pale slightly. The small hope she felt was instantly shattered, and Ace wasn’t feeling any better as he frowned deeply.

Then suddenly, something flashed past his mind, and his eyes widened, ‘When I was in the Army Trial of the Vampyre Clan, wasn’t that statue said ‘Supreme Bloodline Universal Records’ when it evaluated my bloodline…’

Ace’s heart raced as he quickly asked Star, “Tell me, is one of the known locations of the Supreme Bloodline Universal Records the Vampyre clan?”

“Please forgive me, but this information is extremely precious, and even I wasn’t privy to it. In fact, only the Celestial Race, the ancestors of the Celestial Titans, should have this information.

“If Alina can fully unseal all of her inheritance memories, she might be able to find some clues. Primarily because of my last owner, they were the last survivors of the Celestial Titan Clan, and they seemed to have stumbled upon something that provoked an extremely terrifying existence.

“As long as Alina can fully awaken the Celestial Titan bloodline, she will get her ancestors’ memories as well, but she has to reach the limit of the Celestial Titan Bloodline and touch the source of her bloodline—the Celestial Bloodline!” Star gravely stated.

‘I’ve learned too many secrets today, yet even more new ones took their places. Even clans like Celestial Titan were annihilated, and Star’s previous owner should be the Sun and Moon God. Even he perished by provoking something terrifying just because he stumbled upon something. That’s reminded me of that beggar, who came after the seed…’

Ace felt a chill running down his spine. “Can you tell me how your clan was annihilated? Do clans like Celestials or True Dragons still exist? Why would such powerful clans have perished?”

Star remained silent before the sword replied, “Please forgive me, but this information is too sensitive, and knowing it will bring bad karma and terrible misfortune. You should probably wait until Alina awakens her entire bloodline. By then, you should all be qualified to learn these things!”

Ace frowned with dejection. He couldn’t help but think about similar warnings from the system and decided to drop the matter for now. He had already learned a great deal of ancient history and secrets.

But the matter regarding Alina is still the most urgent, as he mused, ‘We need either that Thousand Sword Lotus or the Supreme Physique Universal Records. The only difference between them is that the former is a legend while the latter is a peerless treasure of ancient clans.

‘However, I’ve already known a place where a totem of Supreme Universal Records might be, and if I can conquer it, I might get new information. But that thing caged or trapped inside that Army Trial, it’s a very tricky situation…’

“Well, I might be able to help you.” At this moment, an unexpected voice rang in Ace’s head, startling him.

Ace quickly recovered from shock before questioning Malservus with a hint of agitation, “Master?! You were awake all this time?”
